Russell had been wandering about Hyrule, bored out of his wits. He'd passed countless battle arenas, but being himself he wasn't inclined to fight. He'd heard about a great mage called "Sovelis" and decided to pay a visit. The door was smashed in so Russell invited himself inside, calling "hello? Anyone?" There was plenty of alchohol in the living room, which he happily noted. The whole house was silent, so Russell ventured down the dark hallway, not knowing that the owner of the house and his psychic pupil was nearby and a sheikah thief was down the hall.

Sovelis placed his real hand on Seth's shoulder. He truely did not know what to say to the young theif. He knew so much, and yet the whole story was just outside of his grasp. True, everything that Seth had said was true, but Sovelis could still keep muc of his past from him, even if it meant keeping the past from showing up agian. "Seth...you need not worry what was in another person's mind, or what was my past. Of coarse I was afraid of death, and I chose a road that is leading me to damnation...but at least I'm still alive..." Sovelis patted Seth's head wih his hand. "Now go to bed, young one. You need your rest..."
Sovelis opened the door to Seth's room and stepped out. "Goodnight Seth." was all he said as he closed the door, and turned to were Arrika was to be standing, waiting for him. "Wha-? Damn that girl! She wandered off like I said NOT to....GRRRR..." Sovelis opened his mind, feeling the eb and flow of energy within his domain. He could feel an aura walking at the far end of the hall, so he ran after it, hoping to catch Arrika before she went into a room she didn't need to go into. Some rooms of the house were not finished, so the doors opened into nothingness, into a bottomless pit of darkness that was used to store the vast home of the Tempest. "ARRIKA! COME BACK HERE!" he shouted as he ran at the girl.

Arrika heard Sovelis's shouting, but couldn't seem to find her way back. She began to get scared. "I can hear him, but I don't seem to be getting any closer! Did he make his house a maze on purpose?!" She opened a door, and almost fell through the floor. Looking down, it was a spiral of black inky darkness. "Where's the floor?!" She grabbed the doorknob just in time and swung back into the hallway. Her ears pricked up as she sensed someone else following her, not Sovelis.

Sovelis knew that he needed to hurry. If Arrika went into one of the unfinished rooms, she's fall down into the endless darkness that was his home. Seeing no one around, he decided to split up. Sho'Peng Do Naru- Curse of the thousand Tempests! he said as he formed several, not a thousand, copies of himself. Nodding at each other, the Sovelis copies ran down the hallway, disapearing through doors, and down more hallways.
One Sovelis bumped into Russell. "Who the hell are you?" the copy said, backing away from the stranger. These copies didn't have the power to do combat, so they were rather edgy.
Another copy, and the real Sovelis, found Arrika next to a door; one that lead into one of those 'empty' rooms. the copy disapeared, and Sovelis pulled Arrika close. "I told you not to run off Arrika. What if you had fallen into there? I...I'd never forgive myself if I lost another pupil...if I lost another friend......" Sovelis seemed really shocked that Arrika had come close to death.

Arrika was surprised at the emotion in the Tempest's voice. Does he really care about me that much? "I'm sorry... I was just curious," she replied, her voice a little shaky as she clutched at Sovelis's tunic, looking scared at the open door and gloomy darkness a few inches from her foot. "What's down there? What happened to the floor?"

Russell chuckled and sheepishly ran his fingers through his hair. "Sorry. Door was open - er- smashed in- yeah, not locked, I mean, so.... I take it you own this place? Pretty nice, if you ask me. Er...." The young mage said awkwardly. "Yeah. I'm Russell," he said, shaking Sovelis's hand, not knowing it was just a copy. "I'm uh, sorta broke right now, so um... you got a pretty big place... do you mind if I, uh..." He trailed off uncertainly. "I mean, I can cook, so if that can sorta pay my night's stay..." he said brightly.
OoC: Hey, Sovelis, do you know the names of all the female players on here? The only ones I've seen who've been playing lately are Arrika, so do you mind if we set something up here so I can meet her when you're not there? Um this is my second time posting so sorry if it's not so good.

OoC: er...What? Gonna have your character try and smooze in on the innocent female population of Hyrule? And your posts aren't bad. A lot better than mine when I first joined....

Sovelis pulled Arrika away from the room, closing the door with a slight movement of his hand. Letting her go, he stepped back. "That is what is around us. Its the Storage dimension that I use to keep my home safe, and as large as it is. Some rooms aren't finished. Doors lead into the void, and the unwary fall into oblivion... I jumped off into it once. Fell for three days strait, then I brought myself back to the house by Shifting." Sovelis said as he smiled." And yes. I care about you that much. I'd rather not have your death on my mind for the rest of my long life...."
The Sovelis copy stepped back. "I'm not the one you should be asking. The real master of this home is this way. Follow me." the copy lead Russell down the hallway that it had come from. The copy led Russell to the Real Sovelis, and disappeared into thin air. "So...who are you, my friend?" he asked the mage.

Arrika peered down again into the darkness and shivered, her own midnight eyes seeing nothing. "For three whole days? Woah, that must have sucked.... Was it totally dark? Could you see anything? Does it never end? And don't worry, if you don't want me to I'll make sure I don't die for a long time." The thief noticed Russell. "Heh? Who are you?"
Seth sat on his new bed, which was a dark red, and closed his eyes...
Seth ran breathlessly home, never looking back, not even once.
His sister's screams still echoed in his mind.
I'm almost home. Everything will be okay. I'm almost... home....
"Seth!" A thin teenage girl stood in front of the door. She had thick, chestnut brown hair that went down in waves. Seth was relieved to see it was one of his older sisters.
"Sela- Sela-" Seth said, his voice cracking.
"Where's Rin?" Sela said sharply, grabbing his wrist. Her eyes widened with shock. "Oh no," she whispered, her grip tightening painfully. "Oh no. And you- you just LEFT HER THERE?! You stupid little-" Sela withdrew her hand and slapped her brother hard across the face. Seth was stunned.
"What? Why, Sela? I thought that out of everyone you were the only one who really understood!" The green-haired Hylian squeaked out, tears spilling from his eyes. Seth was not the only psychic in the family; Sela had similar powers, although not as strong as her younger brother's. This one similarit had formed a very strong bond between them over the years.
"No, Seth! You don't understand! Just because we see that someone we love is about to die, we don't just leave them there!"
"What was I supposed to do?! She was as good as dead, no matter what, so what was the point?"
Sela clenched her eyes shut and Seth cringed, thinking she was going to hit him again, but instead the front door of their house opened. An older brother with jet black hair stepped out. "what's going on?" He asked, concerned, upon seeing his crying brother and angry sister.
"Arunite!" Sela said. "This little run just let his sister get killed." At Arunite's disbelieving expression Sela held his wrist, sending his visions of the place his sister had fallen. Arunite's expression turned stone faced, then angry. In a matter of seconds he had gathered 3 other siblings and set off on a search for Rin. Seth remained huddled on the ground, trying to ignore Sela's glare and sobs. "They won't find her," she whispered to herself. "It's too late..."
Just as the psychics had predicted Arunite returned empty handed. "They dragged her off, it looks like," Arunite said tonelessly. "That's.. that's it."
A few hours later their mother returned back from another date. At least she wasn't drunk this time, as her children all happily noted, but the loss of Rin still hit them.
"Haha! No, not here, the kids are still awake!" They heard her giggle.
"Oh, c'mon! Shouldn't they be in bed by now?" The pair entered, their mother with the arm of someone they didn't even know around her waist.
"Something up?" She said, noticing their gloomy faces. Sela put her hand gently on her mother's shoulder, and although the older Hylian retracted since she had always had a secret dislike of her children's abilities, she hugged her eldest daughter instead without a word. The look on Seth's mother's face when she gazed at him was so terrible... not that it was ugly, but that the emotion in conveyed with a simple turning of her eyes hurt him deeper than a spear to the heart.
Seth sighed, burying his head in his hands. He hated having such vivid memories, and being psychic didn't help at all. Falling backwards onto the dark silk pillows he curled up and eventually fell asleep.
An older Seth found himself crouched on the ground, drowning in his own blood. He looked up into his attacker's face for what he felt would be the last time. As it was a windy night, a gale blew away their hood, revealing a Sheikah's face, darkened by the shadows of her black hair. Such dark eyes, seemingly without emotion.
The Sheikah raised her arm to deliver the final blow with a jagged, blood stained sword.
"Stop." A figure behind Arrika moved, his voice high and cold. "I think the traitor has learned his lesson by now."
Without hesitating the Sheikah sheathed her blade, turning away sharply and putting on her hood again.
"Heh... but you know... someone had to try and stop you..." Seth felt himself say, the taste of blood filling his mouth. In his dream Seth felt himself switch into a third person view. So maybe he was wrong... maybe in the end, he would be the one to betray the Tempest.

OoC: Wow...Dark stuff there Arrika...Awsome, but dark! It has the feeling of someone who knows what their writing about, almost as if your a writer, or a well-seasoned Rper.
IC:
"Even if you had fallen in, I would have jumped in after you. I won't let anyone fall into darkness like I have." Sovelis said to Arrika, looking into her midnight-black eyes with his own green eyes. Even though his body had finally begun to be curupted, only small flecks of gold could be seen in his irises.
Sovelis turned back to Russel, pulling Arrika behind him in case this newcomer was dangerous, he would protect his newest students with his own almost-immortal life. "So...I'm getting al sorts of visitors today...I guess we forgot to lock the door after replacing it."

OoC: Is there a problem with that? Well see when I used to RP about a year ago on differnt sites I always played a guy who was scared to death of girls, so now I thought it would be cool to try the opposite.
"Woah man, don't overreact. I swear, I couldn't hurt someone without killing myself in the process. So... am I interrupting anything here? I mean, this kinda seems like a 'moment' if you get my drift..." Russell said, grinning. "Yeah, I haven't been around much. Do you have any idea where I should go? I don't care what it is, since I'd rather be anywhere than home. And you seem like a really popular guy; I've heard about you like everywhere."

OoC: Thank you
IC: Fall into the darkness... did he mean literally? Or figuratively, like his soul? Does it have a connection with the nothingness in that room?
Arrika looked at Russell skeptically from behind Sovelis. Poor. Again. Goddesses, she really didn't have any luck lately. "Anywhere but home? That sounds rough. Why don't you go to some battle arena so you can actually look like you're not dirt poor?" She said honestly. "I'm gonna assume your parents hate you for some reason or other, or else you'd lie on the couch at home all day since you look the type. Hey, why don't you go stay at my friend Rhyss's house? That lazy guy would be a perfect companion for you." Hahah, he'll annoy Rhyss for sure. I love doing that!

Sovelis didn't trust Russel, and it showed in his face. "What does this look like, an inn?" he said as he kept his arm up, separating Arrika from him. "Who are you anyways?" the Tempest asked, his voice commanding Russell. "And don't get any ideas. Arrika is my student. Harm her, and I you will face my wrath...."

"Er... I'm Russell. Like I just said. Or was that to one of your clones? I'm just a mage from the border of the Tantari Desert and Hyrule Field. My whole family became mercenaries, but I'm not so into fighting so I became a mage instead. The family seems really wary of any kind of magic so I thought it would be a good laugh to see the scared looks on their faces. Heh..." Russell said nervously, backing up a little. Uh oh.... uh ooooooh. This could turn nasty. Stupid overprotective territorial guy.... I didn't even do anything! Yet. He even looks like he's younger than I am! And that little Sheikah's got a pretty sharp tongue. She hit the nail right on the head though... "Look, I didn't jump out ad attack you, okay, so don't get all hissy! I'm not about to eat the pretty girl behind you either. Sorry, if you want me to go I will. Hey, Sheikah, where's this 'Rhyss' friend of yours?"

"It's alright, Sovelis, he doesn't look like he could hurt a fly. He'd probably miss and end up slapping himself in the head, anyway." Arrika said cheerily, finding it highly amusing that Sovelis could get so protective. Almost like Kobas. Not like Rhyss though; Rhyss would run off and save himself in any trouble. The Tempest looked like he was ready to bite Russell's arm off. "He lives northwest or so from here. You'll recognize the house; it's got huge mutated plants in the front that can eat cats. And the only other person around is Michael the Prankster; you can't miss that either, since he's got a whole crowd of people looking over his shoulder at whatever he's reading."

"Why does a crowd gather around someone with a book? Happened to me once....couldn't read at all with everyone looking over my shoulder." Sovelis said, lowering his arm. "So...Russel. What brings you to my neck of the woods? If your looking for someone to teach you....your out of luck. I'm gonna be busy with Arrika and Seth...and Aria if she decides to show up any." he said, lowering his guard completely. He seemed to warm up instantly once he was out of " Protector" mode.
