He silently drew two hooked swords and beckoned to the Tempest to fight him.
After he had killed the last Shadow Beast, the Demonic mage turned to the Twili that was behind him.And what can you do, little man? You draw your little swords and think that you can kill me? He said angrly, pulling off one of the strange blades that was on him. It immediately elongated, and became a sword to match the demon Tempest. Now...lets see what you can do...my masked friend! he roared loudly as he rushed the Twili Swordsman, bringing his massive blade down at him.

The mysterious Twili parried Sovelis's blade easily by crossing the two he wielded, moving so fast that not even a master theif could match his speed. It was obvious that the Tempest would not be able to defeat him so easily.

Arrika leaned against a wall for support, gasping for breath. "I think- that's far- enough-" She collapsed down on the cold, hard ground, putting her head on her knees and focusing on breathing in and out.

The Twili princess Morendo had broken out of her servants' grip easily, escaping again to their dismay. She'd arrived at the Arena too late; the crowd had already dispersed and only two people remained. Disappointed she left, turning around corners stealthily and still not in the mood to return to her palace. Not noticing the Sheikah huddled on the ground she walked right into her, tripping and crashing. When she recognized Arrika she grinned. "Hey, I remember you. What happened to that other guy?"

"Sovelis? I... I don't know. I really don't know..."

"Lady Morendo! Lady Morendo, come back to us at once!" The Twili heard a maid cry from an alley over.

"Damn! Curse them, I think they've finally gotten smart and cornered me in. What to do, what to do..."

"Any way I can help you?" Arrika asked, needing something to divert her attention.

Morendo looked at her thoughtfully for a moment, the spark of an idea in the making. "Why yes, I think you can..." She said, a sly look behind her eyes. The sound of running footsteps made her look up in fear. "Come on," she decided, making up her mind and putting her hands out. Arrika stared, confused, but pressed her palms against hers. "Now look at me."

Arrika had a gut feeling that something was amiss but dismissed the thought, looking into the Twili's dark, upturned eyes. An electric sensation passed between them, Arrika yelping and almost letting go. Morendo scowled and gripped her tighter, her long nails digging into the Sheikah's skin. The world around them started to spin uncontrollably, black squares engulfing the both of them. Arrika felt like throwing up, her stomach turned inside out. Finally Morendo let go, letting out an evil giggle as she did so.

"What the hell was that for?!" Arrika demanded, holding her head.

"There you are!" An annoyed looking servant appeared, her delicate moth wings sprinkling black dust wherever she flew. She took Arrika's arm in an iron grip, dragging her along with her. "Why must you harass us so, my Lady? Don't your humble servants do enough for you every day without you running off constantly, worrying your poor mother to death, don't you ever consider how bad of a reputa-"

"Lady Morendo!? I'm not your Lady. What the hell are you-"

"Now, now, no more nonsense! Come, dear, your mother's waiting-"

"My mother is dead! Who the hell do you think you are? I'm not Morendo! She is!" Arrika twisted around sharply to look for the double crossing Twili, but all she could see was... herself? "What...?"

Arrika saw herself wave, a sly smile on her face. "My Lady, are you well? I don't know what that Twili back there told you, but to be so convinced that your mother-"

Arrika looked down at her hands- instead of her roughened, thin hands covered in green tattoos, she saw that they had changed completely- they had a fourth joint that curled up like a snail when she made a fist, and long black nails with intricately painted designs. They were smooth and perfect- definetely not hers.

"Do you have a mirror?" She asked the servant suddenly.

"Well, we're almost to the palace-"

"Please. I want to look presentable for my... mother. It wouldn't do at all to arrive like some drunken pixie." The maid seemed surprised at her sudden personality change but reached through the pockets of her dress until she came up with a small mirror. Arrika's jaw dropped. Not only could she finally see her reflection, but the face looking back at her was that of the Twili Morendo.

Sovelis grinned at Twili swordsman. His needle sharp, inch long teeth didn't imped his ability to speak Why are you in my way? he roared, stepping sideways and bringing the huge, demonic weapon down again. This is not good! I have very little time, and this Twili isn't gonna back down unless I kill him. GAAHHH!!! he yelled mentally, bearing down on the Twili with as much of his strength as he could put forth. I have no time for your games! Either stand down or I will kill you, foolish Twilight Being!

The swordsman did not respond, blocking Sovelis' blade again just as easily as the last time. Sovelis is obviously getting angrier and angrier with each passing second, and the Twili either doesn't care, thinks he can take him easily, or has a death wish. Oddly enough though he doesn't try to strike back, maybe waiting for Sovelis to burn out on his own.

"It's been years. Decades. Maybe a century or two. Who knows? These beings are immortal, sick, twisted, time flies by me when I can't bear watching it..." Sela said, her voice fading.

"You knew what it was going to be like here! And yet, you still- you still-"

"I wanted a change, Seth. I was tired of Hyrule."

"Everyone's freaking tired of Hyrule! First Kobas, then Arrika, then Rhyss sometimes, and now you?! What, are you all going to go off to some stupid form of Earth and leave me alone again? Dont you even care about me?" Seth exploded.

"You're lucky, brother, that you're not troubled by the same matters as we are then."

"You know what? Shut up. Just shut your freaking mouth. I risk my life, going through some stupid rift that just dropped us from the damn sky, crashed onto a stone floor, almost gotted my soul sucked out by a stupid pixie, and what are you telling me? To go home and just forget this ever happened?!"

"I didn't say that, Seth," Sela said in a soothing voice opposite of his own.

"YOU'RE FREAKING IMPLYING IT!!!" The thief screamed. "Don't lie to me! What's the point!? Don't try to alleviate the message you're sending me. I get it. You never liked me either. Well I don't damn well care anymore, ok? You could go die and I wouldn't shed a single tear!" Seth continued, his voice cracking.

"Do you really feel that way?"

"You very well damn know how I feel. I hope I never have to see you again. I hope some stupid Twili decides you're not worth keeping around anymore and they torture you until you die! And that they do it for as long as you claim time has passed here!"

Sovelis was growing frustrated with every second that he wasted, standing there. I HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO THAN PLAY YOUR FOOLISH LITTLE GAMES!!! the demon roared, sliding his feet slightly, and bringing the huge sword sideways. Even if he can block that, the force of the blow will surly knock him aside! he thought, bringing his strangely transformed right arm down at the man, leaving the sword to be wielded by his left arm. Even so...lets see him escape both of these attacks!

The Twili leaped straight up into the air, Sovelis's attacks whizzing inches beneath his feet. In the blink of an eye he appeared beside Sovelis, stabbing the Tempest with a small dagger that was belted at his waist. He jumped a few feet back, staring serenly at the fountain of blood that leaked from the Tempest's robes, his weapon still stuck in his side. Kill me, the Twili finally said. Do me a favor and end it now. He shuddered, trying to pull of the half mask covering part of his face. His body convulsed, arm twitching as if some unseen force had wrenched it away from the mask.

Sela remained silent, staring out the window while Seth clenched his hands, seething with frustration. "Go then, leave me here. I would do the same if I were you."

Seth turned sharply and ran away and down the long flight of spiraling stairs, tripping on the next to last one. Tears spilled down his cheeks as he tried to wipe them away miserably.

"Mrrreow?" The hellcat slunk next to him, rubbing its head affectionately against his leg. Seth scooped up the cat and buried his face in its warm fur, wishing that he hadn't dragged all of his friends into this mess at all. It was really all his fault; Mirielle and Rhyss were probably eaten alive, Sovelis destined to die in a matter of minutes, and Arrika? He didn't even want to think about what an exceptionally sick Twili would do to her. And who knows how much time had passed in Hyrule? What if they did manage to get back in one piece, only to find time had slipped away and everyone they had known old or dead? What if Kobas had come back in all those years only to find that Seth, Rhyss, and Arrika had disappeared, not a trace left behind?

Arrika had been shoved into a room, the door slamming shut behind her and the sound of a key locking her in. She scoffed, reaching into her pocket for her lockpick, only to remember that Morendo had stolen her body. And her cargo pants. With a stab of guilt she realized that Morendo had Edward Elric's watch as well now. Damn her to Hell. Arrika beat the wall with frustration, hissing in pain as her now delicate skin felt twice as much pain as it should have. Fist throbbing she sat grumpily on a large wooden armchair facing the only window in the room. Looking down she saw the tower she was imprisoned in was hundreds of feet in the air, the roof under it a perilous drop away. One foot on the windowsill she debated attemting the jump, then sat back down again realizing that Morendo's body was too weak and not trained with the natural ability of a Sheikah.

Sovelis snarled at the Twili, flashing his sharp teeth at the swordsman. If I were not so pressed for time, I'd gladly take a few weeks to kill you for that! he growled, grabbing the dagger from his side and yanking it free. A grunt of pain escaped the demonic mouth as he twirled the dagger in his right hand, gripping his sword tightly in his left. If you are so egger for death, then stand still and I'll carve your heart out where you stand... Sovelis roared as he moved in for the kill.

His speed was inhuman. His accuracy, perfect. The Tempest sank the dagger into the Twili's heart, and smiled a cruel, ruthless smile.I wish we had the time for a better fight. I'd have enjoyed it.

The Twili slumped forward, then broke up into black squares and dissolved into the air. The mask he had been wearing dropped to the ground, but a chilling aura can be felt from it. An evil laugh echoed throughout the Arena; it would seem that Sovelis wasn't the alone one alive anymore. The black mask shot up in the air and clamped itself down on Sovelis's face, molding itself to fit him perfectly. Hah. Now this is strength! Sovelis can hear a voice echoing in his mind and will soon realize that he is no longer in control of his body, the mask forcing him to raise his arm hand, energy forming around his fingertips.

"Let me go!" Ralin squirmed in Rhyss' arms, kicking him in the fork of his legs. Rhyss swore and almost dropped her, wrapping his arm around her small neck and squeezing until she clawed him for air.

"Damn you- stop- moving! Or I swear, I will kill you! Mirielle, why don't we just blast her apart and get it over with-"

"No! We need her. I think she's even stronger than that little wimp stuck in that necklace I gave you. Imagine what you could do with her energy!" Mirielle said. "We're taking her back to Hyrule alive, so just make her stop one way or another!" With a pang Rhyss remembered that Sovelis had his necklace and had a feeling he wasn't ever going to get it back.

OoC: How right Rhyss is...

IC:
GET OFF MY FACE!!! Sovelis roared, trying to bring his hands up to his face and rip the dark mask off. This is MY body...now leave me and torment someone else! I have not the time to waste with the likes of you! he yelled as he kept trying to gain control over his body. GAH! I haven't got much time left. Five minutes? Four? DAMN IT, DAMN IT ALL TO HELL! I WILL NOT FAIL THEM!!!

Hmmm... alright. The mask then dissolved, but not into the air- rather into Sovelis. He didn't have as much control from their, Sovel being stronger and therefore the dominant being inside the Tempest. Everything became silent, Sovelis seemingly the only sign of life for miles around.

Morendo (in Arrika's body) ran gleefully through the streets, unaccostomed strength and agility at her fingertips. It was exhilarating and the feeling of freedom gave her a sense of joy that she had never had before. For some reason there wasn't a Twili in sight. "What happened? Does this mean that literally everyone's at the Arena now?" She said aloud, sprinting easily to the blood and corpse-littered coliseum. To her dismay only that one other person she had seen fighting one of her personal guards, a swordmaster who never spoke unless it was necessary, was there. Meaning that her swordmaster had lost. "Hey!" Morendo called.

Sovelis looked over and saw Arrika, or rather, Her Body being controlled by a Twili. Arrika? What are you doing here? he said, managing to start walking towards Morendo. I...I thought that you ran away from me in fear of what I have become... he mumbled, jumping into the stands. I...I don't have much time left. As soon as the transformation wears off, I'll start to die. I cannot survive in this world like you or the others...I'm sorry.

Morendo was just as crafty as the regular pixie-Twili and played her part well. "I... Sovelis..." She said, recalling his name, "I'm sorry. It was stupid- You said you'd always be there for me, and running away was the dumbest thing I could have done.I'm sorry." With a sob she jumped to him, hugging him tightly. "Don't give up yet. We'll find someone who can help you. I- I'm not going to let you die!"

The real Arrika followed one Morendo's maids down the palace halls who was taking her to see her "mother". Guards flanked her on all sides, as they were all tired of having Morendo run off every other hour. Two of the guards near the front heaved open two gigantic doors that almost reached to the ceiling. A woman with snow white hair that swept the ground sat on a magnificent stone throne, slumped to the side with an old tome in her hands.

"Morendo! Darling, why do you keep on trying to escape the palace? Don't you like it here?"

NO! Arrika wanted to scream, but if she told them that she and Morendo had swtiched bodies 1) no one would believe her or 2)they would believe her and kill her once Arrika got her body back. "No. I don't like it here at all. You obviously seem suited to be Ruler of the Twilight, so why don't I just leave the job to you?" Arrika said instead, guessing that the throne was actually Morendo's.

The old queen laughed, then sighed. "What am I to do with you?" She waved dismissively at the servants. "Lock her in her room for a good week. And do not let her escape. I heard the two Hylians got away alive- I won't let them put a scratch on my precious daughter."

Arrika was led away, and to the relief without much of a fuss. Back in her room she contemplated Morendo's mother's words... there was something icy and venemous about the way she spoke that she did not trust.

Sovelis stood there, shocked at Arrika's display of affection. Right...I have a few minutes before I...turn back. We need to get Seth and the others. Lets go before we're out of time.... he said, groaning in pain from his wound the Twili swordsman had inflicted. Why...hasn't it healed yet? Am I already out of time...or is it that mask? HEY! WHERE ARE YOU ANYWAY! SAY SOMETHING! Sovelis yelled mentally.

OoC: If he wasn't distracted, He's hear some of Morendo's thoughts and know what happened to the real Arrika.

OoC: Sovel can talk to the mask if you like. That would be pretty cool to have a duel going on between two demons in your head.

IC: Eh? The mask responded lazily. I'm going to just sit here and observe, if you don't mind. Your soul already seems to be occupied though, it said, referring to Sovel. Am I blocking your regenerative abilities? Oh my, that won't do if my new host is damaged... I'll hang back for a little and let your flame demon take charge. From the tone of its voice one can almost tell that the mask would be grinning if it had a face of its own.

"Oh... alright," Morendo replied, concern dripping from her voice. Seth? Which one would that be? Hm, I heard the guards talking about a new prisoner with green hair. Maybe that's him? "I'm sure Seth's already freed himself. Can you call to him telepathically? Or something?"

Sovelis gasped as he felt the blockage of his power remove itself. Thanks...but its not gonna help. Once I revert to my true form, the Twilight will start to kill me again. I doubt you can help me with that. he told the mask. I can try, but I doubt it will work Arrika. he told Morendo, smiling at her as he felt the wound in his side close up and heal like it should have.

Seth? Seth! Can you hear me? Its me...Sovelis...Answer me! I haven't much time! Where are you! he sent out, hoping that Seth would hear him.
