"That's ok. You don't need to apoligize. I've never been good at explaining things." Kayla shivered slightly for her arms were bare. Goosebumps formed on her arms. "Note to self: bring a sweater around." She looked down at her right arm at the scar that went from her shoulder blade all the way to her wrist. She was always consious about her scar, so she always wore a long sleeved shirt all the time, but here she didn't really mind here, but now. . .

She let out a small sigh.

"Nothing really, just fell out of a tree," she lied. Never had she been very open about being abused. She eyed the bag that Soteto had with him. She walked over to and started digging through it. "He better have a sweater in here."

Josh grabbed some nearby wood and tinder, and pulled some flint from his satchel. He then pulled a dagger from its scabbard and struck it against the flint over top of the wood pile. After a minute or two he had a fire going.

"There, is that better?" asked Josh

"Thanks," she muttered. She got out a sweater from Soteto's bag anyways. She slipped it on to see that it was way to big on her. The sleeved dangled down a few inches more than her arm. It stretched all the way down to her knees. "Wow, never noticed how much taller he was compared to me." She sat down next to the fire.

"Don't know why it is, because it's yours," Soteto mumbled. Kayla glanced at him.

"How long have you been awake?" she questioned.

"M' not awake, m' asleep." Soteto rolled over on his side, facing away from Kayla. She smiled a bit at his reaction.

"Hm, I was wondering why it smelled so good," she commented.

Josh pulled a fish from his satchel that he had caught earlier and began to cook it over the fire.

"So fell from a tree huh?" Said Josh not buying Kaylas story.

"Uh yeah," Kayla said. "Well, you see, my friend and I were climbing a tree and she started bouncing on the branch and I lost balance and fell." Oh geez, Kayla thought, that sounds so unlike me, though that did happen, but I wasn't injured.

"Not really," Kayla answered. She stared at the fire. A couple moments of silence went by. "It would be pretty cool if you could tell stories with fires, wouldn't it?" she said out of the blue.

Josh had taken a bite out of the fish when Kayla said this, he then looked up.

"Hm, you want a story?" asked Josh "I dont know many, but I do know the story of the Hero of Time. Would you like to hear it?"

"I'm talking about ones that tell themselves," Kayla said. "And even, everyone has their own little story to tell. It doesn't matter what it's about, it can be as sad, adventurous, or plain as it can be."

"Stories that have never been told, but seemed to be known by everyone," Kayla said. She let out a small laugh. "And even, I know the story of the Hero of Time." She glanced over at Josh. "At least, I think I know."

Kayla shrugged. "Mine is mostly filled with people who keep trying to kill me. I was able to get away from that when I came here. No one has tried to kill me here. I'm pretty happy about that. I've become a little less paranoid."
