Seconds. Minutes. Hours. How long had he been sitting there? He didnt know. He didnt care. Staring off into the distance in the most desolate area he could find, he had deep thoughts. "Dad... What have I become?" He muttered just loud enough to hear if you were 5 feet away. "I'm lost... I'm lost in the winding choridors of my mind." He buried his face in his hands, not crying, but rather frusterated with something.

"She's waiting."

A voice seemed to come out of nowhere, and peirced the samurai's thoughts like a dagger to his brain, and a blow horn to his ears. "W-Who is there?" Dogura shouted standing up, and drawing his sword.

"Dont challenge me. Listen."

Dogura began to sweat. "SHOW YOURSELF!" He cried at the top of his lungs. A shadow emerged from the ground. It was a tall and broad figure. It too carried a sword.

Be silent. Listen.

"Dont you tell me to be silent you monster! Shut up!! Shut up!!" The vagabond shouted repeatedly. He was losing it. Every part of his body tingled when the voice spoke.

"Fool. Have it your way."

The shadow said, as it approached. Dogura's muscles tensed. "I'M WARNING YOU BEAST! STAY BACK!!" Dogura screamed, as he stepped back. An emense power, as well as a purple aura emated around the shadow. In a flash the vagabond was on the ground gasping for breath. What had happened? Had he had the wind knocked clean out of him? The shadow leaned into the light of the desert. There stood a tall man in red and black armor. Dogura stood up instantly, and gritted his teeth, eyes widening with every passing second. "D-Dad..."

Silence.

Dogura obeyed. He had such an elegance. He was slightly transparent, but completely visible. He had a ghostly tail that was suspended inches from the concrete.

"Son. It pains me greatly to see you devoured."

Dogura stood straight up. not moving at all. Only speaking, "Devoured? By what?" The samurai questioned.

"Devoured. Devoured by the emotions that cling to your being. Devoured by the darkness. The very darkness that consumed that which you desire."

Dogura looked hard into the soft, yet stern ghostly eyes of his father. "That which I desire? The darkness? You dont mean..."

Dont be so naive Dogura Rendd Shadowclaw. That is not the manner in which I raised you. The period of your life which you dont remember. It's time i reveal it to you."

"My life!" Dogura shouted, losing controll. "MY LIFE?! YOU DARE SPEAK TO ME ABOUT MY LIFE? YOU PROMISED DAD!! YOU PROMISED! YOU SAID YOU'D COME BACK!!" Dogura now had tears welling up. he hadnt cried in years, and decided not to fight it. Rendd looked angry, but the look quickly left, and created a shadow of sorrow.

"You act as if I wanted to die. To leave you and your mother behind. Dont let the darkness consume you Dogura. Fight it. The demon. This is what you dont know."

Dogura silenced himself, and realized what was happening. The darkness. He was nearing transformation. When his emotions took hold. And the darkness would settle in. "Father. What have you done to me?"

"It was long ago. You awoke without a trace. A trace your existance. You awoke not knowing where you were, or how you got there. Shadowclaw. The family curse."

"Shadowclaw? Our last name? Family curse!" Dogura shouted becoming more and more confused.

"Your memory. The night I left. I erased it. You needent know what you were at the time. The demon. It has left me. And inhabited you."

"I-Inhabited?!" The samurai began to sweat more, looking down at himself.

"Shadowclaw. It's the darkness. The darness of your great great great great Grandfather. He was an evil man. It was him that plagued us with such a curse."

Dogura was beginning to come back to his senses. "My great great great great grandpa? He was evil?"

"He was. He was finally captured, and sealed inside a furnace. The people of the town prayed a curse on him and his family, before burning him to a crisp. His name was Detritus. Detritus Shadowclaw."

Dogura was in complete shock. Never had he known all this. He was eager to rush home and document all of this, and study further. "And the curse. It was named shadowclaw?"

"You're correct my boy. Named for the family's last name, the monster was sealed inside of him, and is passed on when the next generation dies off. I gave it to you early, in hopes that you would contain the power to harness it. You arent there yet. Come here."

Dogura hesitated for a moment, and stepped forward. His father ordered him to turn around and kneel. The vagabond did so, and waited.

"Brenc teh liclo bealu popa ploa soru! Aelhi liclo, cherm lisol. Fam dir, impa, beirig, yalv, bagif!!"

Dogura had forgotten that his father spoke fluent sheikan, and understood a small bit of it. All of a sudden, a greater pain than he had ever thought possible shook his bones, and rattled his very existance. All went black for the samurai.

"You are healed. Now harness the demon. Now... You are in controll..."

The spirit faded into the mist, and Dogura slept. For a very long time...

OOC: You can leave a comment if you want, but its not nessicarily something interactive. I just need to have it here for storyline reasons. Also, Kudos to Magmar fire for his "Sheikah Language, which I used to write that peice up there. See if you can decode it.
