(((OOC: Continued from the post "[NPC] Flight")))
~The deku stumbled into the town square. He was tired from the long fight, and could feel the insideous poison inside of him. Flit looked up and around the bustling square. Where could he find a doctor here? He continued to walk forward, and found a lone gaurd standing watch on the south side of the square. The deku began to walk towards him, thinking that he may ask for directions. That way he might find an inn, and a place to rest as well.~
~Flits thoughts were racing. He didn't truly understand why the assasins wanted him dead so badly. He drew the mysterious key out of his tunic. It hung on a string around his neck, and he always wore it. It seemed like nothing but an old silver key, but Flit guessed it was something more. Especially sense some unknown group was hunting him down for it. Who knows how long it would be before they found him again. He sighed, and continued to walk towards the gaurd, putting the key back in his tunic.~

Yukie enters the town right behind the other Deku, his previous question now having become the main focus for his every thought. 'What in da name of Farore is this here kid's name?!' It's rather annoying . . .
Watching the younger Deku's movements, Yukie realizes that he is deep in thought, especially when his hands withdraw a string holding a key around his neck from within his tunic. It looks like any other old key, but the way his friend is looking at it suggests that it might be something more. The elderly Deku files away this happen-stance for future referrence.
Suddenly realizing that he had no idea where his companion is leading him, Yukie's eyes glance up and take a quick look around the square. In a direct line in front of them, he spots a guard, which is probably their chosen destination. 'A wise decision, fer sure. If anyone kin help us, it's probably him.
'And what is this kid's name?!'

~The two deku reach the gaurd, and Flit raises his hand in greeting. "Hello I was wandering if you could help us." He starts. "Where could I find a doctor."
The gaurd looks at the two deku curiously for a moment. He wore a leather jerkin, reinforced with a flew metal plates. He had a iron helmet, and a long barbed spear. From the authority that the gaurd held himself with, Flit assumed that he was a higher up. This was good, it probably meant that he knew the answer to the deku's pressing question. The gaurd looked him in the face, and answered with a question of his own. "I haven't seen you around here before. What's your name." Flit hesitated for a moment before answering. "I'm just a deku traveling around the forest," he said, carefully avoided the question, "please I really do need to find a doctor."
The gaurd stared at Flit, a frown creased his brow. It usually wasn't good when a stranger hid his name, but he let it go. He had a bad feeling that the sooner this deku left the village the better. It was probably a good idea not to get involved in whatever the pair was doing here. He lifted his hand slowly, pointing to a building in the northwest corner of the square. It seemed old and in disrepair. "A medical expert is said to live in that house. Mabye he can help you."~
~The deku turned around as soon as the words left the gaurds mouth and headed off towards the old house. He didn't want to take any chances with the poison, and it seemed to be wise to cure himself as soon as he could. When he arrived on the other side of the square, he looked up at the solid wooden toward, and knocked. Just before his hand hit the door, it opened, and a Sheikah walked hasitly out. He looked down at the deku, smiled for a moment, and was soon lost in the crowd.~

Yukie listens in on his companion's short conversation with the guard, both surprised and disappointed when he avoids the guard's question as to his name. 'Odd,' the elder thinks. 'He's got some reason fer not stating his name . . . and it sure can't be a good one. Oh boy . . . what have I gotten myself inta this time?'
Not allowing his doubts to shadow over the fact that someone is still out to kill his companion, Yukie follows him over to the door of the broken down house. His eyes immediately fall upon and track after the Sheikah that comes out of the house, easily suspicious of the man because of his species. But a few more seconds of that and he shakes the thought away. 'Can't hate someone just because they're Sheikah . . . some a da best people I know are Shadow Folk.' He thinks of Alpha, Shada, and their legendary master, Zaris. Those three prove that the shadows don't always hold evil.
So, Yukie just waits for someone else to answer the door.

~Yukie and Flit did not have to wait long. Another sheikah appears in the doorway, and looks down at the two deku. "Can I help you?" Flit looks at the sheikah expectantly, "Yes. Are you the doctor that lives in this house?" The sheikah looked at Flit for a moment, and then replied, "Yes come in."~
~Flit walked into the building after the sheikan doctor. He can't help feel some suspicion at the doctor's race. After what he had gone through, it would be natural to be cautious around the shadowy folk. The doctor examined both the deku quickly. "What problem can I help fix?" The deku looked at the sheikah for a moment before answering. "I think I've been poisoned." The doctor raised an eyebrow, "Mabye if you told be how you came to be poisoned I could help you more."
Flit looked at Yukie. He had been holding back the true story, and his name to protect him, and minimlize his involvement with the sheikan assasins. Should he tell them. And if he should tell Yukie, should he trust the doctor. He was a sheikah after all, and could be linked to the assasins. He looked at Yukie questioningly, asking his opinion.~

Yukie grins as yet another Sheikah comes across their path - it could be irony, coincidence . . . or the one he doesn't like, a result of careful planning. In the last case, this doctor is either one of or under the employment of the assassins, but he sorely hopes that that is not the case, always keeping a mental picture of Alpha and Shada. His thoughts also drift occassionally to the mental picture he has of Master Zaris, the mighty Sheikah whom he has not seen in many, many years.
The rest of the time, he wonders why the heck this other Deku won't give away something as simple as a name! 'As da sayin goes, 'curiosity killed da Deku . . .' better stop these thoughts; they ain't gonna help us get him cured, that's fer sure!' Yukie almost begins to chuckle at that fact, but just then he realizes that Mr. No-name is staring right at him.
He had heard the conversation in one corner of his mind, and it's simple to deduce the reason that the young one is glaring at him. He wants advice from a wise old Deku Sprout like Yukie! But still, an uneasy feeling remains about all this . . .
"Ya gotta make this decision on yer own," Yukie finally says, slowly. "Whatever yer story might be, you gotta choose whether or not yer willin to tell people." Leaning in closer so that the doctor won't hear them - even with their enhanced Sheikah senses - he adds, "We kin probably find another doctor if you can't trust Sheikah. It ain't that far to North Castle, ya know."

~Flit listens, and closes his eyes, thinking. After a moment, he shakes his head. I'm being silly. Not all sheikah are evil... He opened his eyes and looked at the doctor. "I was attacked by a group of assasins. Sheikan assasins. It think that there from Parapa desert." The doctor looked at Flit thoughtfully. "Well, come in, and I'll see what I can do." The deku nodds, and follows the doctor into the old house. From the inside, the house didn't seem nearly as old. It was made of solid deku wood, and was quite richly furnished. It seemed like the outside was misleading. Why the doctor would want it to seem as if his house was a ruin, was unknown to the deku, and he ignored. The doctors personal tastes didn't matter.~
~The three entered a larger room with many chairs. It seemed it was a meeting room of some sort, and the doctor lead them to the center waving his hand, motioning for them to sit, as he himself sat in a chair. He looked at Flit, "So, you were attacked by sheikans from the desert? What kind of weapon did they use?" Flit could answer easily; he had been hit by one. "Needles." The doctor smiled, "Ah, then I think I know how to help you. Wait here, I'll be right back." The doctor rose, and walked out of the room through two large double doors, shutting them behind him. Flit looked at Yukie. "I think it's about time I told you the whole story of why the assasins were chasing me. My name's Flit by the way, and I'm just a deku that travels around the forest." He reached into his tunic pulling out the key. "I found this in a clearing one day, and a few moments after I had picked it up, I was attacked by the assasins. I escaped by running into the thicket, and going to the Great Deku Tree. I showed it too him, and asked for guidance, and first he told me that it was very important, and started to speak, but then, the assasins attack again, and I ran through the forest, with them on my heels. I had just recently learned, before finding the key, that a group of assasins was growing power in hyrule, and that there was some sort of sheikan betrayal, in which the sheikah in the assasin guild ran to Parapa, and started an assasin group of their own. That's all I really know. I don't know why this key is important, and don't know what it opens, but if the Great Deku Tree says it is, than it is. I'll keep it safe for as long as I have to. Here take a look." Flit tossed the key to Yukie. It felt good to share his secret, even though he felt guiltly that the secret may end up killing the other deku... and himself.~

Yukie silently listens to Flit's words - all the while rejoicing over the fact that he finally has a name for his companion - absorbing all the information that is thrown his way. He strokes his chin as the young one finishes his tale. "Well, fer some reason or another, that there key a yers is very important ta those assassins; wish we knew why. But if da Great Deku Tree knows what it's fer, then it probably'd be best to ask him again . . . and yet, it sure can't be that simple.
"Those assassins know that the guardian spirit knows what the key is fer; no doubt about that. They'll be watching him, not to kill 'im, but to wait fer da two a us. We gotta git you healed up, then figure out someway ta speak wit the Deku Tree about this stuff. I know a few people who kin probably git the job done; and they're friends I'd trust with my life," he adds smugly, thinking of those who had battled with him against the Hakiems and the Assassin earlier.

~Flit looks at Yukie for a few moments at a lost. He didn't really know what to do after he was healed... if he got healed. If the other deku said that his friends could help, then he would trust him. Yukie had helped him alot, and was more than deserving of trust. The doctor on the other hand... Flit took back the key, and put it back around his neck, and under his tunic. It would be better if the doctor didn't know about it.~
~The sheikah walked back into the room, carrying a small vial of an amber colored liquid. He handed it to Flit, and started to speak. "I think this will help. I have heard of a group of sheikan assasins that have been hanging around the woods. It is said that they are looking for some powerful artifact hidden near the Parapa passage. Its supposed to be some kind of book. This antidote is made to heal a certain type of commonly used poison. It is a trademark of sheikan rogues, and it will probably get rid of the poison. If not, I could try some more potent antidotes, but those would cost you... a lot."~

"Well then, here's hopin that that right there's the stuff we'll be needin!" Yukie says with a happy face as the doctor finishes her comments. In truth, the elderly Deku has quite a large sum of rupees stashed away in multiple places worldwide, so money isn't really a problem. But if these assassins are using a more potent form of poison, then that means they're more than just regular assassins - and that would not bode well for the two.
Thinking over what the doc has commented about the book, Yukie begins to wonder what the heck this could all mean. '. . . some powerful artifact hidden near the Parapa Passage . . . some kind of book . . .' The Deku shakes his head. This is starting to get serious - powerful artifacts are always dangerously serious. It seems to be almost standard practice for a group to be after an artifact like the one she's describing. But then, what would these assassins need the key for . . . ?

~Flit took the vial, and nodded his thanks to the doctor. He uncorked it, and poured its contents into his mouth, swallowing. He closes his eyes and feels the pulse of his body, in tune with his self, he can feel the unnatural feel of the poison inside of him, and feels it fade slowly, until he couldn't feel it anymore. He sighed with relieve at the fact that the poison no longer coursed through his veins. Of course, that would make it far too easy. The sheikan assasins were no novices, and suspected that the antidote would be the first measure taken in trying to slow the poison, and had made it that, though it hid it for a while, it was only temporary, and the poison would come back, greater than it was before.~
~Flit didn't no this though, and he was at rest. He looked up at the doctor. "Thank you for your assistance. I'm glad that the antidote worked." The sheikah gave him a kind smile, and asked, "I'm glad that I could help. Shall I lead you to the door." Flit nodded his consent. "Yes please."~
~The doctor led the pair to the door, and bid them farewell. Flit smiled his thanks once again, and walked out into the square. He looked up at the sky, and saw that the red and orange hews of sunset were begining to fill the air. He turned his attention to Yukie. "Shall we find a place to rest, or return to the forest. We should probably either go to the Deku Tree, or the Parapa Passage to see about that book. Mabye the key," he pointed to his chest, "is used to find it."~

Yukie puts his hand to his head, shaking it slightly with indecision. He's glad that the potion seems to have worked, and tries to banish any lingering doubts about the poison. "Well," he finally answers, "I don't really mind either way. Wouldn't be against a bit a rest, but we oughta talk ta the Great Deku Tree as soon as possible. Your choice, in th' end. You're the one those assassins are afta."

~"Alright that sounds good. Might there be another trap near the Deku Tree though? We can't be careless." Pyre looked off to the northeast, remembering last time he had visited the deku tree. The sheikans had attacked, and he had only learned that assasins were chasing him, and that the key was important. Mabye he could shed some light on the mystery. "Yes, lets go to the Deku Tree," he said this time with more resolve. When they got there, he could worry more about an ambush.~
~He looked at Yukie for a short time. It seemed that he was old, but he was powerful fighter. He didn't know much about him, except his name. Of course he had hid lots from Yukie, including his name. He assumed that when he needed to know, if ever, he would find out, and Flit hoped that it didn't effect them too much..... in negative ways.~

Yukie nods solemnly. "Indeed, there sure might be another ambush awaitin' us there. But I suppose that th' sooner we go th' better, because we gotta go sometime, and no matter when we head over there they'll probably be there." He feels almost immediately that someone is watching him, and half a second later he manages to retain his composure when he realizes that it's just Flit looking him over. Not to say that there aren't others spying on him, but . . .
The elder Deku shrugs inwardly, and allows an outward grin to form on his face. He certainly is a strange sight, more than likely. A Deku his age that can still fight skillfully . . . there aren't many in the world that can say they know someone like that. 'Well,' he finally decides, 'I can always just blame Ukedra!' His grin grows wider as he turns to face his companion. "Well, Flit, shall we go on then?"

~Flit nodded at Yukie's request, and turned towards the forest. He looked out over it for a few moments, and was surprised how peaceful it looked. After the many attacks the forest didn't seem safe anymore, but now after it calmed down, it looked like his homeland again. He knew he couldn't relax his gaurd though. He wasn't sure if the assasins were waiting at the Deku Tree, or awaiting him just outside of town. Probably both. Who knows where these sheikah might be. They're obviously more resourceful than I origianlly thought.~
~He began to walk towards the welcoming trees, and though the shadows cast by the canopy seemed somehow more threatening, he found that the woods set him at ease. This was where he thrived, and the safest place for him. The Deku Tree wouldn't let the key be stolen, or the treasure that it leads to be taken by the mysterious assasins. It would be best to go to him.~
~In the trees nearby, a single sheikah watched Flit carefully. It was same sheikah that had seen the two deku earlier. A small smile crossed his face as he drew out a black needle. He was a specialist in poisons, and used a much more potent venom than the other assasins. He prefered solo jobs though, and was planning on bring the head of the two dekus to his master himself. Even though he was a deadly killer, the thought of the master caused a slight shimmer of fear to alight in the back of his thoughts. He was the perfect killing machine, and wouldn't let failed assasins forget that. He didn't kill them of course, since he hand trained them all himself. No, they were much to valuble, he just cause a little suffering. The sheikah banished such thoughts. He wouldn't fail, and there would be no problems. The deku obviously didn't expect anything, and in the end, if he failed or suceeded didn't truely matter. Assasins were all over the forest, and the deku weren't about to escape with their lives.~
