The hallway leading down to Nettle-rune and Nitara's room was wide, though the ceiling was low. It was lit brightly by small lanterns that were placed close by each other, in pairs. The ceiling was white, and the walls were a deep blue, with a small trim just above the floor that was in a pattern of trees, on the walls were paintings. They were beautiful, and scenic, one was of a evergreen forest, and the next a vast desert, and than so on. Halfway down the hallway a door stood wide open, and Nitara's voice could be heard inside, as she discussed something openly with Nett.
"We shouldn't be on this trip Nitara!" Nett's voice protested, obviously angry.
"Well, what if I could fulfill part of the prophecy at Montegomey. I was sent away two years ago to explore all the demensions, and everywhere in them! That includes Montegomey." Nitara said defensively.
"Yes, well, what if you waste even more time on this place." Nett replied, still agitated, "What then, eh?"
"It doesn't really matter, Jasper said I could take as long as I want, and I hold him to his word."
"Jasper isn't the one who sent you off to Earth in the first place."
Nitara didn't reply, instead she walked elegantly across the room, her chin raised, and lowered herself onto her bed. She got back up quickly, swearing, she had forgotten how soft and different beds felt, she quickly took the simple, light blue cover and laid it across the floor. She sat on it.
Their room was quaint, it had mahogany walls, and the floor was covered with a smooth beige carpet. It appeared as if they had separated the room equally, on Nettle-rune's side, there were a few vases with flowers that she had carried with her soaking in water, and some wooden carvings, one only part way done. Nett's side was messy, she had some clothes on the floor and her bed was torn apart, quite unlike Nitara's. Her side was perfectly clean, there were strings tied to the bedposts, which held drying herbs of all sorts. On a small bedside table there was a stack of large books, towering high. Beside these there was a notepad and a quill, along with a corked bottle of bright red ink. Her bed, obviously, only had sheets laid upon it, and two pillows with silk cases, and these were placed at a perfect length apart, obviously Nitara had been fretting slightly over the straightness of her bed dressings.
"I sense that there is another one of them here," Nitara muttered, just loud enough for Nett to hear. "And I've looked practically everywhere."
"I think you're just procrastinating!" Nett almost shouted, getting more antagonized by the second. "You know that once you return you won't live any longer, so you're neglecting you're duty to your demension to save YOUR own skin!"
Nett suddenly brought her hand to her mouth, covering it. Nitara grimaced, "I know my duty to my demension Nett... And I don't know, I might live a little longer than what the spirits said..." Her mouth was a straight line, she stated plainly, "Anyway, I've been preparing myself for death every day of my life. I wouldn't procrastinate."
Nett studdered, "Nitara...I-I'm S-s-sorry, I didn't think that-that--that that was what I was saying. It just slipped."
Nitara stood up, and laughed, "It is fine Nett, anyway, I know it's coming. I just have to see if one of them live in Montegomey, and than I can go get killed, okay."
Nett laughed hesitantly, "Umm... O-okay."
Nitara leaned against her bed, twiddling with the stem of some unknown herb. "I hope your shouting didn't draw anyone's attention."
