With every dreadful step, Alex carried the heavy bag up the mountain. It was filled to the top with rocks, and coal. Alex gritted his teeth, as he began to think back.
"Alright kid, we're gonna get some training done now." Alex wheeled around, his eyes huge. "Really? Alright! Finally, I've been waiting for this!" Alex pulled out his wooden training sword, and held it out in front of him. "So are you going to spar with me, or teach a new move?" The samurai, smiled, and held a large sack out in front of him.
Alex could finally see the Goron district. "Damnit sensei! This isn't training, these are your errands!" Of course, he was talking to himself. God forbid Dogura come with him. Alex stopped, and dropped the bag at his feet. He needed a break, if only a small one. He sat on the bag, and noticed someone comming up the cliff-side.

Why me of all people?

Up in the high grounds of the Ruto Highlands, Northern Hyrule's highest point, though much smaller than the south's Death Mountain, stood under a clear day. In it, more precisely in the region called The Flats due to its large expanse of flat land, a certain teenager donning an azure cloth cloak and garments was headed past the Windmill and entering the Flats' boundaries. According to his friend, his target should have been somewhere in the area. Why me? - he once again pondered. Unfortunately, he was not going to rescue someone... but then again, he had his share of something like that not that long ago. He hadn't found some secret ruins with peculiar knowledge and artifacts... but then again, a dungeon was perhaps not the best place to be with all those traps and creeps. No, there was no share of big adventures today - he was going to do a certain samurai a favor. While on his training in the North Forest, trying to master his new hidden skill for the upcoming tournament, he ended up in the Vagabond's house, who sent the youngster to spar with his pupil, even before the mage apprentice had the time to do anything... though it also wouldn't have been nice of him to deny a friend this favor.

He looked around his location, spotting a teenager about his age sitting on a certain bag... bag that Dogura had told him that his pupil would be carrying. So that's Alex then. Okay... He revived the plan thoroughly in his head - something both the samurai and him had plotted. Noticing that the target had noticed his appearance, he had to act fast. He pulled his staff forward and started spinning it counter-clockwise at an impressive speed. Suddenly, a blue, arcane rune was settled right in front of the teenager. A sudden wind started to swirl around the enchanter, as time seemed to slow down while Tayro performed his spell. "Glorificus ventus, rector torrens ad suum verus erus!" - he chanted, while a 5-pointed star pattern was drawn using the tip of the Deku weapon inside the circle. A symbol on the back of the teenager's cloak appeared glowing somewhat dimly as the winds sharpened. "Transporto id ad unum qui deprecator te pro succurro!" - he spoke once again, as he pulled his staff backwards, then pushing it forwards, the impact making the glyph bend over and create a circle of pure energy that propelled itself... towards the skies.

Everything's according to plan - he thought, while Alex was probably shocked. That is... until a strong gust of wind pulled the bag from under him and making it fly... right towards the junior mage's hand. Wasting no more time to see the other's reaction, he ran away from him... hoping he'd follow. Well, at least this too will provide me with training.

Alex watched as the boy appeared, but payed no attention to him. He didn't know it now, but he would regret it. As he rested, a cool breeze began to blow. "Hey... Now thats the stuff!" Alex lifted his long brown hair out of his eyes, and let the cool breeze caress his forehead. Then, suddenly, the breeze turned into a wind, and the wind soon turned to a gale! The bag was sucked right out from underneath the boy, and he landed on the mountain face with a heavy thud, that could most likely be felt by anyone within a six foot radius. Alex sat up, and rubbed his back, the ache slowly fading.

As he stood up, he looked at the stranger, who was now holding a bag. Alex's bag. The boy stood up, and was about to ask for it back, when the stranger took off running! "hey... HEY!" Alex cried out, giving chase to the mage. "Get back here with that! I'm on an important errand!" Alex's pleas seemed to go either unnoticed, or ignored. Alex, once on Earth, had a valuable trading card stollen from him, and he had to chase down the thief, just like this one here. The difference however, was that a trading card meant something to him. He was only chasing this guy, in fear of his sensei being irritable about the loss.

Gritting his teeth, Alex pumped his legs harder, diminishing the distance between the the two.Oh man, oh man! Sensei will gut me like a fish if I lose those minerals! The boy finally got within reaching distance of the stranger, and dove at him, preparing for a tackle that wouldn't feel to pretty. Arms outspread, the nomad launched in the mage's direction.

No good, no good

Being a mage sure had its own problematic issues. Namely, cloaks that decreased one's true agility by a large value. It was hard to make large steps when the clothing was on the way. And also, his staff was surely somewhat of a heavy burden here - even if it was made of wood, it sure wasn't as light as a dagger! Those were the two reasons the teenager appointed as to being the reason why he had lost this speed match against Dogura's student. Also, being thrown down against the ground by the other teenager - against the rocky ground - was surely not nice. Much less when his face was scratched by the rocky surface. Getting up, and kicking Alex away, the Hylian glared at the earthling as he raised his staff. "Very well. I deem that as an offensive move... seeing you want to fight, I'm game." - he scowled at the other. This is way unlike me... though I must say, it's rather funny to pass on as another person. I deserve a Link Award* - he mockingly thought, though said self not showing on the outside. It was true though - it was quite unlike him: He was currently glaring hardly, sounding cold and evil. Not wanting to spend all his magical essence inside him, he spun his own staff clockwise - unlike spells in which the staff is spun in the opposite direction - and, bending one knee, stopped the spinning to swing the wooden cane towards the other teenager's legs.

Guess this'll be fun after all!
