Hyrule field sits calmly at night, with the moon high above, surounded by an army of sparkling stars. Thus we see a rather rare site in the vast fields of grass, a small campfire; crackling and sparking cheerfully in the night to keep the cold and the wolves at bay. It seemes as if a man is laying next to the fire. His face is ubscured by his red hooded cloak, which lays draped over him, like a blanket of his far-away bed. with a rush of the wind, both his hood and his fire are stirred slightly. The fire continues to burn brightly, but the man's face can now be seen.

He seems to be a rather youthfull looking person, no more than a young man. His hair hangs under his head, and a ponytail at the back. A staff, about as tall as the man, lays next to him. He isn't particularly tall, but he seems to be a mage. And everyone knows that one needs not to be powerfully built to be abl to bring an empire to its knees....

Aureliano was caught outside of the castle in dark hours again. He hated this, for last time he had to fight off Stalfos. After reminiscing, he noticed a faint light. Aureliano walked toward the light source and noticed a young man next to a fire and said "Hey, my name is Aureliano, do you mind if I stick with you for a while?"

Looking up. and yawning, the man spok to young Hylian whom had just woken him up. "I don't mind, Aureliano." he said as he sat up, and put a few dried branches into the fire. "My name is Sovelis. Never seen you before...where are you from?" the man by the fire said to Aureliano, motioning for him to sit near the fire. "Hungry? I've got some jerky, some cheese, a loaf of bread, and some Goron Ale." the human said as he opened his satchel, and pulled out a small pakage out, and handed it to the one who had just awoken one of Hyrule's greatest mages.

Aureliano went to sit where Sovelis motioned and said, "Thank you very much." He took the package, "I am extremely sorry for disturbing you, sir. I am from Macondo, a village somewhat far from here. May I ask you where are you from?"

"My curent home is in Rauru Town, to the east of here. But I myself am not from Hyrule. My home is another world entirly." Sovelis sid as he smilled at the company that had joined him. "And do not fret, I wasn't sleeping very deeply anyways. One can't go to sleep and not be able to react if you don't want to die, or be robbed." he said as he handed Aureliano a small bottle of Goron Ale.

"Wow, I have heard stories of different dimensions, but never actually met someone from a different world." Aureliano said, grabbing the Ale, and taking a quick drink "You are right, especially outside where the Creatures roam......may I ask what you are doing outside at this hour sir?"

Sovelis pulled a gold pocket watch out of his robes, and opening it to see what time it was. "Waiting for the meteor shower. It seems that its a little later than I thought." the Tempest said as he closed the watch and pocketed it agian. "It should be here in a little while. So I guess I should thank you for waking me up!"

Sovelis stood up, stretching and dusting off his robes as he looked around. "Creatures of the Night know not to mess with me. Unless they kill me with the first attack, I destroy them. A small stalchild thought it could do it...and I obliterated it." he said as he sat back down, his legs crossed in his robes as he looked over Aureliano.

"So, what do you do for a living?" Sovelis asked his companion as he pulled another flask from his satchel and took a swig from it.

Aureliano looked back in awe. It was obvious Sovelis was a great mage. "A meteor shower? I never knew there was one tonight....and no need to th-th-thank me sir, it was just destiny doing its job. I r-r-really do not have a job. I just do requests for people who need help. How about you s-sir?" Aureliano took a swig from his Ale and took out a jerky. He then took a bite out of it. He was starting to get nervous. 'Dammit, he thought, this always happens'

Hearing Aureliano stuter, Sovelis looked at the hylian with concern. "Calm down my friend! No need to get nervious! This night is rather clear, and I haven't seen any beasts or creatures, so do not fret!" the Tempest said as he looked up at the sky.

A bright streak of light zoomed across the star filled blackness as several more followed suit."See? I was right! Those meteorites are rather large...Probably should go look for one in the morning..." Sovelis said, the sky ablaze with the burning space rocks flying across the deep, velvet sky.

"Right!" Aureliano nodded, getting control over his feelings. As he saw the meteorites zoom in the heavenly sky, Aureliano could not help but gasp at the beauty of it. "Do you really think there will be some meteorites in the moring, sir?" Aureliano asked, a little apprehensive, for he always thoght of such action as impossible.

OoC: Actually...You might like what I have happen next..... Also...all the talking done by the Stalchildren is just grunting and hissing to us, so you can't undertsand them, and they don't understand us. And yes...we saw Thralk get powered up.

IC:

"It has happened before. A very small meteorite landed near Rauru a month ago. I took it to the Royal Magic Commitee, and they are studying it right now." Sovelis said as one of the streaks of light seemed to be getting closer...and closer...AND closer.

Seeing a campfire, Thralk knew that a stray traveler was out in the open...and that traveler was a possible target of he Stalchildren.
Look! A fire! Thralk said to the other Stalchildren that it traveled with
Fresh prey! Yaha!!! Kalalt muttered as it rubbed its claws together in glee.
The other Stalchildren cackled quietly as they drew closer to Aureliano and Sovelis. Thralk was about to attack when a bright light from the sky came down, and hit poor Thralk.
GGGGAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! Thralk screached in pain as it was hit with the powers of the sky. Thralk wasn't obliterated like most other creatures would have been. He was TRANSFORMED. The new Thralk stood several feet high. His bones were now covered with strange, dark silver armor. In its hands, Twin blades of the same strange metal gleemed in the night sky, and from the light it had within it from the sky-rock.

Thralk's own darkness had fused with the power of the sky-rock...and now he was a powerful Stalfos-like moster, and the other Stalchildren looked at Thralk with awe and envey.

We attack that camp....NOW.

"Aureliano, I think that we have a problem...A big one..." the mage said as he stood, his cloak flapping in the wind, and his staff in his hands.

OoC: I'm coerced by a senior RPGer to do some seemingly harmless RGPing, and then a meteorite strikes a Stalfo, powering it up. An you expect me to like it? Are you kidding, I love it (plus it's too late to back out ). Jokes aside, the only fighting i've done was with a Keese, so I think I'll need your help.

IC: Aureliano quickly drank his Goron Ale and ate his jerky, for this was probably his last meal. His only consolement was the powerful Sovelis, but hearing the words "Aureliano, I think that we have a problem...A big one..." struck fear in Aureliano's heart. After his meal, he got up and said "Y-Y-Yes sir, it a-a-appears so sir, I'll try my b-best sir!" "Calm down! Calm down! Calm down! CALM DOWN!" Aureliano thought to himself, the final thought giving his mind the desired effect. "Like I said sir, I'll try my best." He said, with a renewed wave of adrenaline, fear, and something he realized was courage, and a faint glint of a wild animal in his eyes.

OoC: I'm Sorry Aueliano. I just couldn't help myself!
Thralk ain't THAT powerfull, although he is lvl 7, he isn't all THAT powerfull. Its the Stalchilde mage that you need to worry about. ALSO, since these are creatures of the undead, they are resistant to any Dark-bassed attacks, which means that if my radon-element producing elemental burst/explosion makes a dark attack, the damage will loose 25% of its power. But Light-based magic does an EXTRA 25% damage. DON'T FORGET to use any skills you have, when you can. Alright? Lets begin.

IC:

"Calm yourself, my young friend. They may have the advantages of numbers, but we have the advantage of power." Sovelis said to Aureliano. "We'll need to be carefull, and keep our cool. They always attack in large groups to mask their weakness."

Staff in hand, Sovelis took a step forward. "This isn't your time, my undead friends! We are going to take you down!" the mage said with a strong, loud voice. He raised his staff above his head, both his hands on the piece of wood.

"Protection of Nayru, giver of light,
Grant me power.
Shield me from these beasts,
keep me from harm,
and suround me with your power!"

The mages words rang out true and clear as he cast his spell. The powers that he was able to call forth and control swarmed around him. The blue lights circled and formed a glowing shield around the Tempest, and shone in the night, like a bright blue beacon in the darkness of the night.

OoC: I would use my abilities, only thing is, I'm not a Vassal yet. Not only that, I don't enough SPL to do any of my Vassal skills. The only thing I can do is Favor of the Goddesses. Oh well, I'll try to live.

IC: As Aureliano saw the blue glowing shield surround the mage, he drew out his sword and shield and gulped, for this was going to be a tad difficult. "So do you have a plan, sir, or is it going to be 'attack whatever you want'?"

As if what Aureliano had said was a keyword, the Stalchildren attacked. Being the closer of the two adventurers, Sovelis was the target of the weaker Stalchildren. The first one jumped at the blue barrier that seperated the Tempest from his enemies.[9+Roll:11 Vs 19+4] MISS

The undead moster only bounced off of Sovelis's shield spell, not even reaching the human mage. The other four all attacked at once, hoping that at least one of them could reach Sovelis

Only one of the Stalchildren managed to reach Sovelis through his temorary shield. Its claws raked across the Tempest's chest, cutting clothing and flesh. Staggering back slightly, Sovelis raised his left hand at the offending Stalchild. The metal of the automail gleemed in the light of the shield that was around him as he spoke in a voice that was tinged with something that could be called an 'burning hatered'.

''Flames, burning eternal within the soul.
Hear my command, and come forth.
Devour thy enemy, reduce them to ashes.
Burn and destroy for your Master.''

Sovelis's fire spell flared into life in the open fingers of the metal hand. Eager to burn, the small inferno lurched at the Stalchild that was the sorce of the mage's anger.

The Stalchild was caught off guard after it hand landed its blow on Sovelis. Its claws glistened with the Tempest's blood as the fires of Sovelis's spell slammed into the small skeleton, Obliterating, sending pieces of chared bones flying away from the spot that the targeted stalchild had ben standing moments ago.

Thralk was enraged that the mage had destroyed one if its companions.Raising its blades, it rushed at the glowing shield that surounded Sovelis and struck out, letting out an inhuman scream as it did
RRRRHHHHAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!

[14+Roll:16 Vs 19+4] HIT

Thralk's twin blades pierced through the Tempest's barrier like the preverbial hot knife through butter. The iron swords struck Sovelis, dealing heavy damage as he was knocked several feet backwards, and off of his feet.

Kalalt was busy with its own spell during the other stalchildren's assault upon Sovelis. The small mage skeleton was hissing and building up a spell within its hands. As soon as it had gotten ready, it let loose the spell at Aureliano. [Elemental Bust-Fire]

RES CHECK[Roll:18+2=20] HALF/DAMAGE

The fireball that sped at the Hylian grunt was either weak, or poorly cast, because when it hit the warrior, it only burnt him instead of toasting.
