Hyrule Adventures 2

A dim light flows from the dusty window of a small wooden house in the town. This night, things are quiet. The sounds or crickets chirping, the fresh, clear air, the light of the moon, all sounds of a calm summer night keep things calm.

Likewise, inside the house, three men are in the serenity of meditation. They sit on the floor in a triangle around three candles. What they are focusing on is something like the afterlife. They are searching for souls. The souls they are searching for are located in voids placed throughout Hyrule. It is difficult, but they somehow to spread their minds everywhere, scanning for those they seek. Their reasoning for it now is unclear to them, but they know they must do it, because the Goddesses told them to. Dangerous times are coming, and the souls they seek can help them.

So far, their wandering minds find nothing. After a while, they all begin to feel tremors, but they come to understand that it is the ground shaking; a minor earthquake? The trembling of the earth grows greater, and they are sure it is not that which they seek. So they turn themselves away from it. After more meditating, the find nothing, no one.

Outside walking down the dirt road is a group of Dark Acolytes led by Wyndisis' selected officer, Hylian Cavlin Kreias. With him are two large Gorons with large blades which to them are quite small, two soldiers covered in black armor and armed with spears, and four Zoras. One Zora, who wears a black vest like the other three, has a double bladed sword. Each of the opposite extending blades are like that of a machette, but they have a slight curve. The blades are also single-edged. The other Zoras carry loaded bows and a quiver with several arrow. They all go to the door of the building. They all stand to the sides of the door. The bowmen move in front of the door, bows ready to fire while the Zora with the sword turns the doorknob and lets the door swing open.

The meditating people come to reality about the same time as each other, and that is when the door swings open and they look into the eyes of stern Zoran bowmen. The Zoras move in, each one aiming a bow at a person. Next the black armored soldiers file in along with the Zora with the double-bladed sword. After them is the Gorons and finally the Hylian officer. As the meditators are surronded, the Gorons approach them. One Goron grabs the heads of two of the men. Each of his massive hands swallows them up. It looks as though he will crack them like eggs, and it feels that way to the captives. The other Goron takes the odd man the same way, one large hand around the cranium. "Well done, men," Cavlin Kreias says, "Take 'em away." The big Gorons handle them roughly, but their faces remain solemn as they are carried off into the night.

Holy Goddesses! What by the Distant Nebula is going on here?
(Aside) According to the OoT creation epic in the game, the goddesses came from a place called the Distant Nebula. I interpret that as a heavenly dimension.

Alpha is awakened from his meditation on top of the inn's rooftop. "What do we have here?" he thinks aloud. He watches as the group of a Hylian, Gorons, and Zoras arrest the men inside one of the houses. His scar is glowing, but it is so faint that he doesn't notice it at first. 'I'd better see what's going on,' he thinks, and follows them via roofs as they begin to lead the men away.

Alpha would probably have jumped when Dart fired his blaze, but his training and his life have prepared him for anything unexpected. He quickly looks around for Leon, knowing that the dragonic creature would not stray far from his friend. He finally spots the Hylian in the shadows, and throws a pebble in his direction to get his attention.

Leon nearly yelled when the peeble struck him,but he managed to hold his tongue at the nick of time.He pulled out a piece of paper,scribbled a message on it,and threw it at Alpha.The message read:

"OK,you got my attention.Give us a plan to rescue those citizens,and quick!".

The Goron, being used to fire, is not much effected by the blast. As the fire dies down, all except the bowmen break for it. The bowmen fire arrows in the direction from which the fire came, and they make a break for it as well. They are gone out of site.

As Julian walks down the cobble stone streets he is almost strampled down by small mob of gorons, zoras, and a Hylian. [/i]"I wonder where they are going in such a hurry his late at night," Julian mutters to himself. He walks farther into the streets. His foot steps echoing lightly through the seemingly hollow street. His outline disappering from sight as he walks toward the desert.

Alpha suddenly appears behind Leon, grabbing him by the mouth so as to stifle any noise he might make. "Plan?" he whispers. "I was thinking of attacking randomly while using Shadowmeld, and you focus on freeing the captives. Oh, and sorry about hitting you; I just wanted to get your attention."

As Denning hears the pebble hit, the light flickers on.
"Are you sure you want to do this? You could get killed. Leon, youre a vassal, you should alert the King or princess. Im sure they will help, but if your still going for it, I will help."

As the arrows sped at him,Dart dodged most of them,and the last one he swatted away with his tail.

Leon was quite shocked when Alpha grabbed him from behind.He quickly bropke free of Alpha's grab after he said the plan,and was about to de-bunk it when Denning came into view.He nods to Denning and says,"Denning's right,I'm the only one who can really contact the King.Those people look pretty darn strong.I'll be back with re-inforcements as soon as possible.Until then,good luck.".

He then darts into darkness,and Dart shouts,"Wait up,Leon!",and jumps off the roof,then the reptilian dashes after his friend.

Alpha winces as Dart yells out, and quickly Shadowmelds to avoid detection, just in case they glance in the direction Dart is running. He sprints around a nearby corner, then drops his Meld. He motions for Denning to join him. "Hurry and get over here. We need to figure out some way of stalling them until Leon gets back."

"Are you crazy? Thats Wyndisis! DO not go up to him! I say we throw rocks and jump through roofs to avoid detection!"

Alpha quietly snorts. "I've gotten some experience with throwing rocks," he says, remembering how he hit Leon. "That'll probably work. I'll go ahead of them, and when I'm in position we'll start the stonings. We just have to be careful to not hit the captives." He paused, waiting to see what Denning's response to his plan would be.
