The Temple of Nayru, the place of worship to Hyrule's goddess of Wisdom. The priests and scribes, about thirty of them in all, stood near the massive altar where prayers would be whispered or spoken to the one they hoped would anwser them. These people sang out in praise in a harmonious chorus to the heavens.

At the door, Sovelis stood there, his cloak off and tucked under his arm in a sign of respect to the worshipers present. He strode in slowly, not wanting to interupt the song.

Baron and Scarlett had disappeared long ago, and Seth took his time in reminding himself and Arrika that Sovelis wanted to meet them at the Temple Quarter. Like twin shadows they followed after him silently, the singing and praying around them soothing and holy. Seth bowed before entering and Arrika mumbled something under her breath in thanks to Nayru, for thieves must be quick witted if they want to survive.

One of the priests noticed the three of the newcommers to the temple, and walked towards Sovelis, his robes trailing behind him on the smooth, stone floor. This was one of the younger priests, cleanly shaven, a short-cropped haircut, and plain, white robes. In comparison, Sovelis seemed darker, and tainted when aproched by this holy man that was comming to greet him and his students.

"Welcome, good folk. Welcome to this most holy place that our beloved Nayru has given us to worship within. My name is Brother Hythias, the one whom has been blessed by the head priest to greet all whom enter this sanctuary." the cleric said, nodding his head at the more eligantly dressed Sovelis. "How may I be able to enlighten you and assist you today? Have you come to repe-"

Sovelis held his hand up and interupted the priest. "I am not a worshiper of your goddess, so their is no reason for me to ask for forgivness." he said, lowering his hand and looking at the young man before him. "But there is something you can do for me. Die." The priest looked confused at what Sovelis had said, and it dawned upon him far too late. A second later, his head rolled from his neck and to the floor and crimson blood stained his pristine gaments. In his hand, a long, strait sword had formed from shadowy magic. The Tempest had just commited the most horrible act anyone could think the man could do... Cold blooder murder...

Arrika's eyes widened in protest but before she could say anything the priest had already died. Seth had seen it coming all day; he merely shut his eyes and mumbled under his breath.

"Sovelis- Sovelis, what the hell'd you do that for?!" She demanded in a hushed whisper.

"Are you starting to realize what you've gotten yourself into?" Seth asked, a cruel half-smile on his face.

The Sheikah was too stunned to move, afraid that if she backed away or made the wrong move Sovelis would kill someone else...

The singing had stopped almost instantly. All of the worshipers present looked at Sovelis, Arrika, and Seth with a mixture of fear and anger on their faces. The dead priest's blood now lay at the feet of his murderer, staining the ground with crimson tears, with the man's life. "I have come here looking for a book. A book that contains the sum knowledge of the magical teachings that the followers of Nayru have compiled over the history of this land. If you bring it to me now I will spair all of your lives here today, otherwise...I shall slaughter each and every one of you."

An old, frail looking man, with a few whisps of hair and robes similar to those of everyone here, slowly limped about halfway towards Sovelis, gripping his cane with his right hand. "Young man... What you have asked of us is out of the question! I shall no stand by idley and allow one as hidiously evil as yourself to take anything from this temple that would allow you to become more powerful!" the old priest said, pointing at the Tempest with a frail, crooked finger.

"Then you have sealed the fate pf all of the innocent people here today, old man. I will have that book, even if it is soaked in the blood of those who stand in my way." Sovelis shouted, throwing the shadow-sword from his hands and at the priest. The old man raised his hand, and a bright light dispelled the sword. "The powers of darkness hold no weight here. You cannot overpower any of us here in this sacred temple!!!" the priest cried loudly, raising his cane bove his head. "We whom are stron in our faith will smite you, shadow mage!!!"

Another dark sword formed in Sovelis' right hand. "Even the brightest light can be snuffed within the darkest night..." he said as he stood there, waiting for one of the worshipers to attack.

"Sovelis- what- why are you doing this?!" Arrika demanded. Seeing the old cleric's ability at light magic unnerved her; Sheikahs were known for their weakness to light. "Seth- they're- they're all going to die, aren't they?"

Her question was met with silence, but Arrika had a feeling of dread.

In a flash Seth had drawn a pair of throwing knives that now went flying towards another nearby priest, hoping to scare the rest of them to give the Tempest what he wanted.

The worshiper that had been the target of Seth's knives dropped to the ground with blood pouring from the wound in his throat, and the other one from the blade stuck in his chest. The three or four dozen people in the sanctuary had begun to panic, some trying th get to a side door, others thought that they could force past the Tempest and get to the main doors and saftey beyond them.

"Sho'peng Do Naru Dona'stu." Sovelis chanted a short, but powerful Tempest incantation that he had made himself many years ago. A second later, several more figures apeared out of thin air... All of them looked exactly like Sovelis. Each Sovelis held a sword formed from the shadows that they wielded, and wore their cloaks with their hoods up. Some blocked the side door, while the other few stood with the real one near the main doors.

"You will not get away with this! The wraith of the Goddess will strike you down, TEMPEST!!!" the old priest shouted, blasting at the intruder that had started this all. As the orb of light-magic rushed at Sovelis, it seemed to diminish in size until it vanished a few feet in front of Sovelis.

"I told you before...you will all die and I will have that book..." he said, motioning to one of the copies with his hand. The one he had chosen lept forward, its blade gone. In its place, it held an orb of flames that would blast it... and the Head Priest into oblivion.

"I said that you would die old man... Goodbye!" the copy was next to the priest when it slammed the flaming orb into itself, and lasted the man to the next life.

Arrika gritted her teeth, somewhat relieved that the Head Priest had died- he seemed like the biggest threat. Seth just aimed for another cleric, knowing his aim was perfect.

"All this for a book..." Arrika mumbled.

"C'mon, they're fun to hit," Seth said, leaping over to the side door and cutting another man down with his dagger. "Just bag one. It doesn't matter, they're all going to die anyway..."

If a little 13-year-old brat could kill a man without a feeling of remorse, why should it prove any problem for a hardened thief 4 years older?

"BACK, HEATHENS!"

A monstrous shout rang out as a massive ball of Earth energy rocketed towards the Sovelis clones. The caster stood in the corner where he had been praying, his hair blown backwards by the magnitude of the blast, and his face was revealed, possibly for the first time in a while. The bright blue iris at the center of each eye had dulled, becoming glassy, and the whites were completely bloodshot. His expression was grave; between all the stubble sat a sharply downturned mouth, teeth grit as his nostrils flared. He was holding his staff in one hand, pointed directly towards the original Sovelis, his fingers twitching on the wood. His lip turned upwards in a disgusted sneer as he lowered his face and spoke. "How dare ye come inta' de Holy Place an' do summat like dis?" His eyes were blind to the effect his spell had, his eyes seeing only Sovelis, the Tempest who had so arrogantly disrupted the harmony of the temple. He took a few steps slowly forward, holding his staff firmly in the same position as he approached the Tempest-cum-villain.

"Ye're nuttin' but swine ta me, ye shiny-armed cur! De power o' the Goddess don't belong wit' you! Nayru's men worked long an' hard fer cent'rees ta gain dat power in 'er name!" His face lowered even further as his voice decreased in volume, until he was staring straight down. His tattered hat fluttered slowly to the ground, his body shaking. The way he killed those people...and he expects Nayru to lend him strength? His face rose once more as he roared at the Tempest, his staff switching to his right hand as he reached his left into his coat, pulling out a shattered bottle fragment--His blade. The green tinted glass of the foot-long weapon gleamed in the candlelight as he charged the Tempest, screaming at the top of his lungs as his voice filled the temple. "Ye ain't worthy of Nayru's magic! But tell ye what--Ye wanna see sumodat magic? 'Ere's yer first less'n!" Holding his staff upwards as he ran, the wood began to shine with an eerie blue light, a low-pitched hum seeming to resonate along with the glow. Bits of the light began to leap along the wood, small sparks running up and down the staff as they crackled, fueled by the rage of Burlo, Cleric of Nayru.

"Ah... Burlo! It seems that the fates have decieded to frown upon you today. I am your opponent and your weapons are not of the best quality." Sovelis said, sidesteping the attacking Cleric. "My copies are one thing to take out...I am on a totally different level." he mocked, aiming his shadow blade at Burlo and stabbing forward at the man's torso. The weapon seemed to become thinner and enlongate into a raiper-like sword that would piece right through Burlo and leave a small wound. It seemed that Sovelis was trying to puncture the Cleric instead of kill him instantly.

"Just because I am not as Religious as you... doesn't mean that I cannot use your 'Holy Powers that is in that book. I will have the knowledge of Nayru at all costs and no drunken fool will stop me!!!" the murderous magician shouted as his dark blade closed in on its target.

"So. What are you going to do?" Seth asked, taunting Arrika.

"What the hell do you mean, Seth?"

"We both know you want to stop him. So go. Try and see what happens."

Arrika didn't move an inch.

"Well?" Seth insisted. "No, I didn't think so. So stay put or help."

At that point Burlo burst in, and the two thieves could do nothing but stand gaping as Sovelis mercilessly ran Burlo through with his blade.

Shadows moved through the rafters above. Three pairs of eyes glared down at the scene in the floor below, as the whole temple of Nayru was slaughtered. Blood spilled everywhere as the monks fell before the blades of the evil Tempest.

"He asks for death in this place."

The shadows dispersed, waiting.

Burlo came, and his shot of earth and his demands reached the three beings ears.

"He is brave, that one..."

The beings moved again. They noticed how Sovelis was after a book.

Burlo was no match for the tempest, this was easy knowledge. The three nodded, and began their descent.

"Oi, no drunkan fool can stop you, Sovelis, this is true. However, three of the Seven Stars is more than enough to drive you away." Kasei said next to Burlo.

"This is a holy place, looked after by my master, the goddess Nayru. It does not please me to see her place destroyed by one so evil." Another voice said. Near Sovelis appeared a man. "I am Xanatos, the star that follows the direction of Nayru, and I will assure you that my abilities aren't to be tested." The hylian said.

At the same time, a noise like thunder rang through the temple. Gor Gigan had dropped from the cieling behind Seth and Arrika, his huge, metal arm ready to crush them as it fell for their heads.

OoC: This happens just after Sovelis vanished from the Baron and Scarlett topic.
Dammit

His thoughts turned instantly from killing Burlo, the drunken cleric, to defending his students Seth and Arrika. Without hesitation, his attack on the cleric stopped, and he pushed himself to get between the massive steel fist of the goron that had dropped from the rafters so far above. A second later, he was standing where his pupils had been, his own mechanical arm holding up the weight of Gor's arm. The floor where he stood had been shattered from the impact, leaving the tempest to stand in a small crater of ruined stone and dust. "If your going to fight anyone," Sovelis spoke with effort, as his own strength was beginging to weaken under the stress of the goron's attack. "Then have the intesinal furtitude to attack someone who can defend from an attack of that level.

The noise of steel groaning and bones creaking could be heard from the strain of holding back Gor Gigan's arm, and the stress was showing on the Tempest's face. "A-Arrika! Seth! Get out of here now! I'll hold them off as long as I can!" he shouted, letting his own power surge from his anger, allowing him to hold the goron back.

Burlo's eyes flashed with something like fear as his attack was rendered utterly useless and a counterattack was launched almost instantaneously. He didn't stand a chance against the heathen, that much he knew--However, it was too late to back out of the battle. He had drawn his hand, and he had lost. However, there was still a small voice in the back of his mostly dead mind calling out to him, it's words echoing. He knew what they were--They were another set of incantations, ones for a protection spell. Protection was Nayru's specialty--Surely, using one of his Goddesses' famed magical defenses would keep him alive for at least one more attack. However, suppose it didn't work? In that case, he would have only seconds left. Maybe he should launch another attack? If he fell, he might as well do some damage. He was here to defend Nayru and her book, not himself. The Tempest was probably so wrapped up in his attack that he had no will to defend. Sovelis was sure of himself--Certain that the cleric wouldn't withstand this strike. The sad thing was that Burlo thought the same. Therefore, as the strand of shadow raced towards him, Burlo leveled his staff at the Tempest; His mind had been made up.

His mouth went to work behind his veil of hair, a muffled incantation making its way through the fibrous curtain. The aura around his staff flowed up to his staff, accumulating on the tip. A thin beam shot out from the tip of his staff, a narrow blue thread that instantly made contact with Sovelis' chest. The small dot on the Tempest's tunic expanded into a wider circle. The beam retracted, and as the shadows neared the cleric, he stuck his staff into the air, the point of blue energy spiking and radiating wildly at the tip of his weapon. It was then that he felt a presence beside him--The Stars had made their entrance. Sovelis' back was turned, and he was struggling with Gor Gigan--This was his chance! Burlo threw his head back, the mass of energy going wild as he shouted to the roof of the cathedral, the shadows withdrawn and the priest's blood pooled at his feet rippling with an increasing intensity. "Sparra' Shot!" The magical blue amoeba split into eight, each piece lancing into the air and thinning into barbs, leaving a small trail behind them as they reached their peak. As they turned to descend, they pointed towards the same location--The mark on Sovelis' chest. They gradually increased velocity as they homed in on the mark, descending from near the elegant ceiling straight toward's Sovelis' back.

OOC: then this means that this is before our battle!

IC: Gor Gigan, who was far larger than even a big Goron, smiled. He, of course, had a feeling that Sovelis would protect his freinds. The massive rock being was only supprized by the sheer power under a tempest's control, Sovelis had managed to block Gor Gigan's righ arm! The Goron narrowed his big eyes to glare at Sovelis.

"So....there is some good in you, after all." He said, and brought back his left hand, throwing it at Sovelis so as to knock him back towards Burlo's attack.

Kasei and Xokorn watched, they would step in if Gor Gigan could not handle Sovelis alone, witch they knew was likely possible. Kasei had informed the rest of the seven; It took all seven of them to end a country, while Sovelis destroyed a whole planet on his own. Even with some of his power stolen by Kasei, Sovelis is almost as strong as Ganondorf was at the height of the demon kings power, and back then, all of the seven combined couldn't defeat him, Link, another triforce wielder, had to do it.

Kasei, in particular, was worried. "He has a strange presence inside of him, a dark aura that lingers in his heart. I wonder what it is."

"Do you think he has even more power hidden within? If so, then I believe that we might have to make our hero return." Xokorn said, hands behind his back.

OOC: Kasei knows neither Sovel nor Ryk, and I plan for it to stay that way until the climax of the war.

GET BACK TO OUR BATTLE!!!
