Cathy dug her heels into the soft sand. The moon peeked from behind the clouds. The zora let out a small sigh. She wanted to go to sleep for the night, but she just couldn't seem to do that.
Cathy scowled and stabbed the sand with her sword. She eventually just placed it in the soft ground not far from where she sat. She collasped on her back and stared up at the clouds passing by.
"The moon looks white tonight," Cathy mumbled to no one in particular.

"Indeed, but I would say more of a delicate silver, don't you think?"
Xeon murmured softly, delighted at finding another adventurer at such a lonely night. The corner of his lips turned to reveal a suave smile. He was afraid that he may have appeared too dark - his hair and clothes - compared to the shining moon.
"My name is Xeon, what a delightful place to make an acquaintance, wouldn't you say?"

He would not interrupt the two that he saw in the distance. It was not his job to. No, his job was to observe, and record everything in his mind. He would, after all, be instructed to relay everything about everyone outside of North Castle after dark. Anyone could have been the spy. Anyone could have given out the information.
Just two nights ago, Kairos had been informed of the tragic events; the murders, the breach of the safehouse, all who were involved. From what everyone knows so far, it was obvious that the murderers had inside information, or else they wouldn't have gotten in, and the family wouldn't have died.
So, there he was, darker than a shadow in a cave, a good distance away from Cathy and Xeon. They would never see him in this night, but he would be able to view, and hear, anything they did. The only indication that could possibly tell them he was there would only be possible if one of the two was some sort of psycic, and Kairos highly doubted it. So, for now, he waited, and listened.
OOC: If you're wondering what the heck i'm talking about, head to new peaktop later on . . .

Cathy almost jumped to her feet. Her hands went to grab the sword that was always at her waist. The zora let out a growl at herself when she realized that her sword wasn't there and that she already had taken it off and placed it somewhere safe.
The zora relaxed when she realized that it was only someone who wouldn't harm her. She even perked up when she realized that Xeon, someone that she knew. She knew him only a little bit, but she still knew him.
After she realized that he had asked her a question, she looked back up at the moon. "Hm, maybe, but I still think that it looks white right now." Cathy layed down on her back and stared at the moon.

"If you say so."
Xeon shrugged, almost careless. He laid out his jacket on the grass before carefully sitting upon it. He looked up at the inky night. He was most powerful at night, he felt a certain harmony with the darkness. His father used to say that he was born in the pitch black night, without a cry to spare...the prophecy of a Necromancer being born.
The mage stretched, and yawned, shaking off the thought.
"Did you hear? About the mass murder?"
He knew that it was the biggest news going around Hyrule, and he himself had been present, and he saw it with his eyes.
Ooc: Kasei, about the new peak topic - how do you investigate? I mean you told us to investigate, but I'm uncertain as to how...

Cathy glanced at him and shrugged. "I really haven't been around people lately. I'm not that type of person to go around and start chattering in a crowd. Not much of the crowd type person either." Cathy scrunched up her nose in disgust. "Habit that runs in the familly, I guess. I would have to say no to the murders. Why?"
The zora played with some of the sand, running the damp substance through her hands. The water washed over her hands now and then, making the sand even more wet than what it was before.

Ooc: Sorry for not posting for a while...
IC: Xeon flashed his sharp teeth, meaning it to be a smile. He replied,
"Oh, I was just wondering. It doesn't matter, though."
The Necromancer gazed at the calm water, his eyes bright from the moon. He muttered,
"From where I come from, murder was uncommon. It was happened never. Until I was born, of course... when I was prophesized to be a Necromancer, my father ran away from fear of being discovered that he himself was a necromancer, and my mother grew very ill. My hometown villagers were frightened of us, because we were so dark... I suppose that's the kind of aura you carry when you're a Necromancer, you know."
His tone was bitter, his head leaning on his knees. He almost seemed to be talking to himself, as his voice was so quiet.

OoC: Aw, it's ok.
IC: Cathy peered over at Xeon. "A Necromancer, huh?" Cathy chuckled something. "Strange, isn't it? How you're pushed from everything and even targeted to be killed because your different?" She leaned forward and skimmed over the water slightly.

A light sigh escaped his lips.
"I wonder how you know the feeling so well."
He picked at his fingernails restlessly, his eyes cast down. Xeon began to play with a small vial attached to a silvery chain around his neck. It reflected the moon's rays from it, glowing softly, delicately.
"I don't blame the villagers for avoiding me, though."
His eyes suddenly grew bright with greed.
"I was prophesized that if I was to kill my father, drink his blood, and keep his soul in here-"
He pointed at the vial,
"-then I would become the most powerful Necromancer in the known world. Morbid, huh?"

"Che," was the only noise that came out of Cathy's mouth. It sounded close to a chuckle, but not close enough to actually be one. "However you wish to put it. I'd rather say inhuman, but. . ." Cathy looked at Xeon and smiled. "Since I'm no human, it doesn't matter."
"You know," Cathy said. "My first real friend was Kayla Inkeeashi." Cathy laughed pathetically. "This fragile looking girl that always stood up against and for me. And I always kept asking myself 'What the hell have I gotten myself into?'." Cathy looked up at Xeon. "I bet that you haven't met Kayla yet, have you?"

The soft moonlight brushed against Xeon's dark eyes, giving them an eery glow. The rest of his complexion remained calm, however.
"No, I haven't. Or at least I think I haven't... you can never trust your memories, you know."
The Necromancer stared at Cathy keenly, his expressino a mixture of curiosity and polite condescension.
Ooc: Xeon is supposed to be a conceited character

Cathy looked at him and the same noise as before came out of her mouth, "Che', so you don't? Well," -she closed her eyes- "she's not much of the person to mess with. Even though she looks innocent." She opened up her eyes and stared at Xeon blankly. "Because, if she doesn't find you loyal to her friendship, she won't hesitate to kill you."
Cathy turned away from Xeon and placed half her body in the water. It felt relaxing to the girl. "She tried killing me once," she said casually, like it appeared in day to day conversations. "Actually, we would at least try to out wit one another twice a day." She let out a small, hollow laugh. "I figured out that she never trusted me. She still doesn't, if you notice how coldly she'll act to me."
Cathy tilted her head back and stared Xeon right in the eyes, even though the dim light made it almost impossible. "Tell me, Xeon, what kind of person do you think you are?"

Xeon raised his eyebrows at the statement that Cathy made, although he wasn't really bothered by the fact that one friend would kill another if no loyalty existed between them. He knew that most girls this age would have a cat fight or two, then move on. Perhaps Kayla had a very uncontrollable temper? But he wasn't really one to judge - he was the one willing to kill his father for power. The Necromancer gazed at the ripples made by Cathy, and stated simply,
"Then I suppose that if I want to live, I might as well never become acquainted with Kayla."
He glanced up suddenly as Cathy asked her final question, his lips twisting into a half grimace, half smirk. Xeon brushed his fingers along the grass as he shrugged,
"I don't know exactly what kind of person I am. I don't let people see, anyway."
The mage gave Cathy a quick, suave smile, then lifted his head to gaze at the sky. He knew that he was a very cruel, cold person inside, willing to use or sacrafice anyone he 'loved' if that would benefit himself. Outside, he was all politeness and refined manners, which quickly drew people to him - of course, their friendship would be short lived, but long enough for Xeon to use them if he needed to. Trying to fill up the silence, Xeon asked,
"Say, what kind of person are you? How would you really know, anyway? You could flatter yourself to be one thing, when really you're another in someone else's eyes. How can you really know?"

"What kind of person am I?" Cathy repeated. She threw back her head and laughed. IT sounded like a cruel laugh, a laugh someone would use when they were about to kill someone with no mercy, and the person wishes to be spared. She looked straight at Xeon. "I'm the girl that they say comes from the Underworld. The girl who doesn't care if one of her friends die." She smiled widely and wickedly. "Some say I'm crazy, but the fact is I'm no where near being crazy, I just don't care who I kill. As long as they are the reason to spark my anger-and killed by my sword- I'm very happy with my life."
Cathy turned away from Xeon. "Then again, life with my aunt and uncle sucked. They had no clue how to raise kids. Mostly outside when I got the chance." She chuckled to herself, like something about it was funny. "Where I lived, that was suicide."

Xeon smiled politely, not at all disturbed by Cathy's description.
"Well, I suppose we share a common philosophy, then."
He looked up, and sighed contently, feeling at ease with Cathy's company. He never did really like those overly scrupulous people with naive, innocent expressions.
