In the center of the square, a cloaked figure stood unmoving and watchful, as if waiting for someone. Suddenly, a tall man appeared from around a corner, heading across the square. At the sight of this man, the cloaked figure clumsily tried to hide in an alley. He didn't quite make it-- the sign of an amatuer. Shuffling through his satchel quickly, he found a piece of parchment and held it up. It was a rough sketch of an instrument- a beautifully made harp. Comparing this picture to the harp strapped to the other man's back, he confirmed the man's identity...

The tall man didn't notice, however. He, too, seemed to be searching for someone. Quickly panning the square(too quickly to notice his observer), he saw the Ornery Cucco Tavern. His face lit up: he knew where to find who he wanted. Walking in long strides, the man made his way toward the bar.

The cloaked figure would have followed, had he not seen the tall man's clear destination. As much of an amatuer as he may have been, he knew the tavern would not be the right place to strike. He cursed under his breath, and then completed his descent into the shadows of the alley...

I'm not usually one to complain(actually, I am, but I try not to in HA2), but I've been waiting quite a long time for more people to post in my topic at the Ornery Cucco ("A Tall Man in the Doorway").

Sure, weienw was nice enough to post, and I thank him greatly for that. But this topic is part of my story, and I don't want to continue it yet for fear that everyone will dismiss it as a random post and ignore it further.

I have to admit, most of this was my fault. I posted in quite a poor spot, as the Ornery Cucco hadn't been active for a while. But weienw found it, so why couldn't anyone else?

So basically, after waiting quite a long time, I've come here to plead for more posts with a type of post suggested by weienw himself. I know its desperate, but I really want to continue with my story. I have the next part all planned already, and I've learned my lesson: it will be posted in a much better place. But please, find it in your hearts to help a newcomer try his hand at RPing! Visit the Ornery Cucco!
