Inky blackness in the sky, shattered only by the few stars that shined through the many clouds that blotted out the moon, hung over the head of the cloaked samurai. The cemetery was an eerie place, especially at night. However, for a man who has battled the undead in close combat, there was little to fear. Dogura stood near a dead tree at the entrance to the cemetery. Cautiously, Dogura stepped respectively around the resting places of the dead as he sought out one tombstone in particular. Finally, he happened across the small tombstone he had been looking for. The tombstone inscribed with the name: Toruga Nomoura. It looked as though nobody had visited the grave in quite some time.
Suddenly, his ears perked at the sound of a snapping twig behind him. He whirled around, sword drawn, expecting a thief, or a grave-robber. Instead he found nothing- only air in his wake. He sighed, and sheathed his sword as he laughed silently to himself. It was probably just a small animal. Had his nerves really been so frayed? He turned back to the tombstone and stared down at it. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps. This time he knew what he was hearing- they were plain as day. He turned around to see another cloaked figure at the entrance to the graveyard. He stared down the figure, who had again begun its path towards the samurai.
The vagabond nodded to the figure, "Good. I thought for a moment you weren't going to show up." The cloaked stranger stopped next to Dogura. "I got your letter," Spoke the man. "I'm not one to deny a favor to an old friend."
The man dropped his cloak, revealing his face. It was none other than Morgoth, the Necromancer, albeit still in Boone's body. Dogura stared down at the tombstone, "I want you to bring this boy into animation." Morgoth eyed Dogura suspiciously, "Is that why you called me here? So much for a hello." Dogura dropped his hood, and looked at the man with pleading eyes, "Would you please? I need to speak with him." Morgoth's eyes widened as he saw the samurai. "Well don't you ever look younger than ever! Delving in the darkness are we?" He snickered. Dogura's eyes turned cold, and the necromancer raised his hands, "Alright, alright. Sheesh. You can feed me the details over lunch later."
"Now. Since it's going to be a specific body, I'm going to need to dig up the coffin first." The samurai turned his head, "Fine. Just do it quickly."
Morgoth pulled a shovel out of his cloak, and got to work as Dogura watched for trouble. The night was quiet, save for the howling wind. Good night for thinking. What will I say first... How can I simply apologize. How will I look him in the eyes and tell that he's got to go back into the box? This won't be easy...
"So why are you interested in the Nomoura boy?" Morgoth asked as he dug. Dogura decided that the necromancer deserved to know at least that much. "He's the son I never knew I had."
"ooOOOOoo" Morgoth smiled, "Now that is interesting. Sorry for your loss m'boy." The shovel suddenly his a hard object- presumably the coffin. Dogura turned at the sound, and watched as the man brought the wooden box into view. When the last chunk of dirt was cleared from the top of the box, Morgoth looked to Dogura, "You got a crow-bar?" The samurai shook his head. "No, I didn't know we would need to dig up the box." Morgoth looked down at the coffin, and sighed. "I can get it open, but I'll have to break the top of the coffin." Dogura moved forward, and unsheathed his sword, "Step aside. I can use my sword to lift the top off." The necromancer nodded, and moved. Dogura pushed his sword under the top of the coffin, and pushed down. Morgoth watched as the nails came into view from under the lid, "You've got it. Here, we can just lift it off from here." Dogura removed his sword, and sheathed it. The two pushed their fingers under the top, and lifted in unison. The top easily came off, revealing the contents of the coffin.
Dogura stared down into the box. His face went pale.
"Oh, my..." Morgoth stated as he too surveyed the inside of the coffin.
The coffin was empty. The inside of the coffin was destroyed. The interior was torn to pieces, and wood-chips littered the bottom of the coffin. Claw marks all over the inside revealed what appeared to be a struggle. Dogura's heart began pounding as he backed away from the coffin. "What is... This is impossible! What happened?!" The man grew frantic as he wracked his mind for answers. Morgoth stood up from his crouched position, and scratched his head, "Well, Dogura, this IS quite the dilemma." The samurai stared at the coffin for several seconds before closing his eyes tightly.
"I... I came here for answers... I'm left only with more questions."
Morgoth looked at the samurai, "What do you want to do now?" It was a good question. Dogura turned away from the man, and looked up the moon that shined through a break in the clouds. "Just rebury it... We're done here." Morgoth nodded, and picked up the top of the coffin, careful to avoid the exposed nails. Dogura's eyes searched the sky. Just what in the world happened here... He thought as his heart-rate returned to normal. Perhaps Ganon will know more...He always seems to be on top of things. Suddenly the necromancer returned to his side. Dogura turned around and looked at the grave, which looked as if it hadn't even been disturbed in the first place. "That was fast... Good job."
"Well," Morgoth smiled, "I've dug up and reburied quite a few graves in my day."
The samurai smiled back at the man gratefully. "Thank you. Sorry you wasted your time." The man shook his head, "If you want to repay me, just visit sometime. Don't be a stranger, y'know? Not like I'm busy." Dogura nodded before waving goodbye. "Thanks again. I'll be sure to drop by sometime when I'm not busy." With that, the samurai dropped into one of the night's many shadows.
