Hiro jumps down off the mountain. A feat he hasn't done scince he had the Fire Shard. But still, it was only about 10 feet. He could take double that. In a tree above him, a ghost bird in its nest watches the hero from its perch. But this is no normal bird. It is Rezzuna. The only bird to cause this much trouble in so little time. Rezzuna launches a fireball at Hiro's head.

Hiro dodges the ball of flames and looks for his enemy. An Ice Ball this time.

Again??

Dodging again, Hiro notices his attacker.
"Rezzuna?? I killed you!"

"That you did. I am a ghostie now, and you can't kill me! I'll never give up my treasured shiny stone!"

"You fool! Can't you see what's happening here? The world will end if you don't give me the Po Rune! Carnax will kill us all!"

"Why should I give a damn if the world ends or not? I'm already dead!"

"I see. We have reached an impass. You don't care of the consequences of your inaction and I cannot move forward unless you do so."

"Exactly. I don't care who dies today or tomorrow."

"There must be someone you care about! Anyone?"

"No one. I'm a loner."

He won't budge. There must be something this stupid bird cares about. Wait a second that's it! He's a bird! If i give him something shinier, he'll trade!

"Rezzuna. I have a shiny pendant..."

"Shiny? Where???"

"Right here." Hiro dangles a golden pendant from his wrist. He was planning on enchanting it for Hiree's cure but another would do fine.

"Give it to me!!!"

"Oh, this? I don't know... It's very shiny... I'll only trade it for a magic item."

"I have a shiny runey thingy! I'll trade that!!!"

"Deal." Hiro and Rezzuna trade items. Hiro inspects the rune. It's in very good condition for a rune this old. Maybe it's just well-kept.

"Haha! The Po Rune is mine!!! We did it!!!"
Hiro scurries to the Thicket to take the warp back to the castle to tell Alpha and Blank.
