Verse from the Heart

I woke up-- just now-- with these words burned into my mind.  I wrote them down and am now transferring them onto the interwebs for safekeeping.  Please, let me know what you think.  Isn't it strange... that the loss of one muse can be the birth of another?

The pain this brings is driving me
deeper towards insanity
What hope I have is drifting off
like foam of tides in endless sea

No greater torture made by man
no vile concoction, evil plan
can desolate me such as this
Can't touch your face nor hold your hand...

Yet fire within me burns
A spark of faith my stomach churns
This strange emotion rocks me deep
A part of me shall never learn

If loving you is killing me
Then come, oh sweet insanity
For sweeter poison's scarcely found
My heart beats thus, but just for thee.
