Wow, I can't believe I missed this, still here's my $.02 for future reference.

Never bring a weapon to a fight and NEVER EVER use a weapon in a fight. And, by weapon, I mean anything that aren't your fists. In many states shoes are classified as a "deadly weapon" and so if you ever fought someone and kicked them, you could be charged with "Assault with a Deadly Weapon" which carries major jail time in some states.

If the cops broke up your fight and they found the knife, even if you didn't use it, they can charge you with Intent and assume you were going to use the knife. And that's on top of the Disturbing the Peace and Assault and battery charges you would get anyways.

No girl is worth getting into such a serious fight over. There are at least 3 billion women on this planet, and I'm sure you find one to move on with.

Seriously, you think you have girlfriend troubles now? Go to jail at your age (they will charge you as an adult) and you'll see how quickly you wish you hadn't started a fight over a girlfriend, because now you are somebody's girlfriend.
