They're recreating the John Carpenter classic Halloween.

Gamefreak: I edited the title so we can discuss this without going outside the topic's limitations.

I don't like horror movies...I don't see the point, I'd much rather go see a movie with a unique storyline or a comedy, most horror movies are the same to me, and I don't enjoy being scared...

Halloween is more suspensefull rather than the traditional 'slasher flick' of the 70s and 80s. And it does have a unique stroyline. Each movie adds on to it.

Since when was a remake of a classic movie a good thing? Remember The Pink Panther? Cheaper by the Dozen?

The reason Halloween was so suspenseful was because they used ingenius low-cost cinematic techniques in order to build suspense. Even though it doesn't have that much blood, it was still quite horrifying for those unfortunate to view it.

Such purity can only be raped by the hard cash and Brothel pimp that is Hollywood.

I tend to not be a fan of remakes.  I only watch the original Star Wars now.  I didn't see the remake of the Omen.  They just tend not to be as good or nolsalgic as the originals.

I'm a complete horror fan! Don't be so down on remakes, they aren't ALWAYS bad... but they are mostly.  ;)

Also, I'm going to say this: instead of focusing the movie on a bunch of teenagers with Michael Myers in the backround, Michael will be the main character.

darkphantomime

Yeah, that'll do WONDERS for continuity.

Love horror movies, hate remakes.

I'm kinda picky though. I'm most likely not gonna like a movie that is just one big "Why the ,,,, did they do that" question mark. It also needs some good, unique elements. My fav horror movie for instance, turned from a gradually scarier getting movie, into a downright comedy in the last 5 minutes. That was just brilliant.

Hey, we might as well talk aBOUT ARE FAVORITE HORROR MOVIES HERE.

I liked the 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' best until recently, when I started liking 'The Grudge'. They're both really good. My favorite horror movie character, though, would have to be Ghostface.

Fishalicious

I like horror, not so much remakes... A lot of the newer "horror" movies aren't scary so much as stupid and gory. /:

My favourite horror movie... hrm... I liked Nightmare on Elm Street, but... I don't know, I don't have a favourite. (Just so long as it's not Disturbia; I hated that movie with a passion.)

Gamefreak

I don't watch horror movies often, but my favorite that I've seen has probably been The Omen series.

I couldn't agree with that more.

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

Gamefreak

Eh, I'm not a fan of just plain out gore-fests.  Horror films like The Shining or The Omen have good plots and are suspenseful.
