I see what you mean, the actul fight was pretty fun, I had a half a heart by the time i finally beat bongo bongo. It was a challenge, but it was illuminating, hence the topic :D

ahhh, long time since I did that one. The only boss on Ocarina of Time that I died on :(. But I make it to easy for myself and have all my bottles with fairies. Ahhhh well, its good to get the game over sometimes so you're more free on where you want to go whenever you're on it. For example, if you want to go back to childhood for a spot of fishing or the bombchu bowling alley, then the forest temple is a pain in the behind.

Ahhhh, I was talking about Bongo Bongo and my experience of fighting him. So it was half on topic, I was just broadening the topic. Anyway, I'm sorry if I angered you, lets forget it now and be friends :)

I've said alot about mutation and disfiguration, but at the end of the fight unlike the most bosses, he sinks into a pool of abyss. Most bosses implode into a skeleton, apparently dying. The term "You can't kill what is already dead" applies to the phatom beast. If it was simply a mutation, bongo bongo would have shown some sign of death. When you beat bongo bongo, you don't kill him, you just defeat him, making him a demon and or ghost.
