The stormtroopers have a little something called 'stormtrooper syndrome'. They can't aim at ANYTHING straight. They're the worst shot in the galaxy. Proof? Just look at what happened at the death star when Luke and the others were escaping.

I should point out to you, that in ANH and TESB they were purposely missing their targets. And in RotJ, you don't know how many Ewoks they hit, and I don't see any of those Rebel commandos around at the end of the battle.

I see you've conveniently forgotten how they disabled the Millennium Falcon's hyperdrive. They were herding them toward the MF, so they could be captured from orbit by the Executor.

And let's not forget the escape from echo base.

The only thing they shot at there was the MF, and they most certainly did not miss a target that size.
