A few people at this site already know that I have some freaky powers. One of which is to predict the future through my dreams. I often have dreams of things to come, and I can often help people that way. But last night.... something happened that I never thought could be possible. I experienced the limit of my powers... I spoke to a dead man that I have never met before, but my mom seems to know who I'm describing. I had a dream. In my dream, I was at a party over my (mom's side) grandpa's house, and it was late at night. There were a bunch of people over that I didn't know.

But particularly, there was this one guy who was really fat, and he was showing symptoms of sickness. It was then that he died of a heart attack. From what I had picked up in the dream, his name was Gordy (sp?). And when the party was almost over, and everyone was going to sleep, I saw a figure walking the halls. I didn't know who he was, so I walkedm up and tapped him on the shoulder a few times. He turned around, and it was Gordy's spirit. I didn't know what to say, so all I said for some reason is "We miss you." And he replied "I miss you guys too"...

When I awoke from my dream, I felt okay. Nothing more than a weird dream right? Wrong. I walked downstairs, and the family was around the breakfast table (except for my sister who was still sleeping) and we were discussing our dreams. When I told them about my dream, my mom asked me what Gordy looked like. He had brown hair, with a touch of grey, and odd looking glasses. Apparently, my grandpa had an obese friend named Gordy, who died of a heart attack. And the way I described him was to a T.

I talked to a man from beyond the grave. My mom said its impossible for me to remember Gordy and everything about him, because he died around when I was born, and she never told me anything about him. Needless to say, I'm a little freaked out about this, but at least I know how far my senses can go. Maybe if I can actually figure out how I communicated with him, I could harness that power, and come into contact with some of my other dead relatives. Freaky buisness, but iteresting none the less.

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

It sounds, not really cool, but more along the lines of a little freaky... you obviously have some special type of gift grante to you by the big man upstairs.

Be careful what you do with it, ZV, I dont know if you may or may not be able to do anything with it, but nonetheless, be careful.

Fishalicious

That's... creepy. Ugh, I hate having premonitional dreams. xwx;

Yeah, just... watch out, and be careful what you dream of. (of course, you have no control over it, but still.)

I've had dreams of the future before, but never anything longer than ten seconds of just a random thing I would experience later. I've never had something that....strange. The thing about this is that it could either haunt you or help you....

Everyone probably can do what ZV can, but they just haven't been able to know how to, subconsciously or otherwise. In other words, everyone else can do it, but they have no idea how to.

Same here... Once I saw a Pokemon in my dream, years before they made it though.

interesting. That was probably the second experience I had with those powers. Just like you Shika, I had a dream of a pokemon (Lugia to be exact) a few months before I heard of him.

Mr. bubbles

Closest to that is Da Ja Vu ( closest that I can spell) in my dream. Probably a subconchance ( still can't spell it) for working out a problem.

Whoa... This is like OoT all over again! :-[

Maybe you can put this ability (for want of a more accurate term) to good use in the future. For instance, if you dream of some kind of catastrophic event happening, maybe you can try to prevent it from happening in the physical plane.

You know, this all reminds me of a Civil War movie I watched around Christmas time in history class. One of the protagonists has a similar dream happen to him--twice in fact. The main difference is that he's seeing the people he dreams about die before they happen, whereas you're saying that you're speaking with people already dead.

In his first dream, the character--whose name is Jonas--dream that his wife would be killed in an event involving a window. Sure enough, later on in the movie, she is killed by outside enemy fire that went right through the window.

In his second dream, shortly after Robert E. Lee surrenders at Appatomox Court House, Jonas dreams of Abraham Lincoln's assassination a few hours before it actually happens. He dreams of Lincoln standing in a boat on the ocean, he himself standing somewhere on the shore, which I think was rocky. There was a gunshot, and in a later part of the scene, he sees Lincoln lie on the ground, dead, U.S. quarters covering his eyes. I think Jonas then sheds a tear before the dream comes to a close.

Just then, he and the main antagonist John rush to Washington, D.C., to warn the President about what he dreamt, but unfortunately, they were too late to deliver the news before John Wilkes Booth shot Lincoln in the back of the head. A few hours later, he died.

I don't know if you would define your ability as this, ZV, but Jonas went so far as to call it a curse, counteracting John's saying otherwise. I wouldn't think you would call it a curse because you haven't dreamt of said catastrophes from happening; you dreamt of the aftermaths of them happening unless you count dreaming of Lugia before it was even created. So I ask you this: What do you think of your ability, a blessing or a curse? I myself am not calling it a curse, but I'm just asking if you're getting those vibes.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Have you seen Star Wars II & III? Anakin has premonitions in II. But in III he has premonitions of his wife dying, he turns to the DARK SIDE trying to stop it, and in the end causes it. So really, if you dream a catastrophy, DO NOT GET OUT OF BED!

MagmarFire

Yeah, I have. I guess I kinda forgot about Star Wars, huh? :P

My future dreams are never anything useful.  I saw an episode of Ed, Edd, and Eddy that aired a month later.  I saw it and said, "This isn't a new episode!".  I told all my friends but they said I was crazy.

LadyNintendo

Only had a few dreams showing future events. Often nothing special. I kinda use my dreams (yes, I have quite some control over them) more to experience emotions and analyze who I am.

The only odd thing I ever experienced was "sensing" what later turned out to be a hedgehog needed help or it would drown. Needless to say I got it out of the water immediately when I discovered it.

You too Brutus? I remember the same thing... Maybe we are connected, or maybe it wasn't a dream and Cartoon Network messed up.
