I highly recommend a Wii, I sold my PS2 immediately once I got my Wii as I saw no more use for it. There are some great games for it but I grew weary of the PS2 and its "same games". By which I mean almost all the big games on the PS2 are similar in philosophy, lots of blood and gore, killing, swearing, and nudity and little storyline. The PS2 will not be making any more games after this year so you might as well save up a little more (probably take a while to find a Wii anyways) and get a Wii with already a few great games, more on the way, and the fantastic (and growing) Virtual Console library.

Again I didn't miss out on anything. I rented the first God of War and took it back later that night as it was, again, nothing but the usual crud that PS2 threw out the majority of the time. However, I will say that it did have a much better storyline and concept then most of the other games for the PS2. The only game I wanted to get from the PS2 but missed out was Final Fantasy XII, however I played the demo that came with Dragon Quest and I was disappointed with the new battle system.

You're falling victim to your own criticism Dr. Rabies.  A while ago in the Battlefield topic, you told people to quit glorifying Master Chief as some kind of God.  Seems that you're praising God of War as some kind of God.  God of War is a good game, but not THE game.  I personally like many other games better, and "the best" is a matter of opinion.  What might be the best for you, might be the worst for others.

Well, I say you should get a Wii, not only because Nintendo friggin rocks, but because Nintendo is doing something that the other companies dare not do: Try new things. Nintendo keeps up with the graphics of the other systems, while being careful to be unique and fun amoung the other consoles. I highly suggest getting a Wii, because as stated before: "This is only the tip of the ice-burg".

I agree withe what ZV said. You should try a Nintendo Wii, simply because it's fresh, new, and there are millions of things that it can do.

Why is that? Did the Wii sack and plunder your village? Or did it come up from behind and sucker punched you? Cause mine did that once but he says he was kidding, the Wii likes to kid.

I would also like to see the reasons Vaati despises the Wii so much. It's the future, and Ps2 is the past, even though it's still getting games for some reason.

Even though the PS2 is that past, I'd still get one so I could play games like Wild Arms and Disgaea.  Unless the Wii is going to put those on the VC, which I somewhat doubt.

it's getting games because there aren't enough PS3s out there for good sales yet.

Actually there are plenty of PS3's out there collecting dust on the shelves, its just that people do not want them or cannot or will not pay the high price tag for them. Not to mention there has been some problems with PS3's breaking down and overheating...although I think those problems have been corrected for the most part.

that's what I meant, I probably should have been more specific ;)I meant that there weren't enough bought, not that enough haven't been made, because I think half a million is enough to sell games to.
