Probably because it would be too big for Link to use.  Look at the Biggoron sword.  He can hardly use that.

Well, if you don't have the concentration to control your fire correctly, than it is let loose and destroy everything in its path.

Worry not, I have the concentration.  I spent years training, and I spend an hour every day practicing.  Yeah, an hour may not seem like a lot, but I slow that hour down, so I get the equivalent of three hours.

Did you know that if you don't get the Hyalin Sheild when Link's a kid, you don't have a sheild as an adult
