And why not?  Harmless little play on words...letters...whatever.  And what's so offensive about toilet paper in the first place?  It's just a special type of paper.  In my high school, we'd actually use it as tissue paper (which TP can also stand for) since most of the rooms didn't have boxes of tissues in them.  Schools can spend that money on something a tad bit more important, teachers don't get paid well enough to provide their own, and students sort of stopped bringing in boxes during middle school.
