I would like to see Cloud (FFVII) or Auron (FFX) but I doubt that since both were Playstation games, but it would be up to Square Enix though. Maybe they should have John Madden in it (as his games are some of the most popular every year) with his terrifying fighting skill...constantly stating the obvious until his opponents head explodes.

John Madden is an old fart. The only reason the football games bear his name is because he is so famous in the world of sports...

I stick by what I previously said: NO CLONES. Though I must say it would be interesting if a form of Vaati were in the game. He could go about from one form to another, but the eyeball form would be more of an attack in and of itself. That giant eyeball makes you think that its going to paralyze you. Parallysis would be an interesting feature in the Smash Brothers franchise.

2. May not be a from origin not-game character

I think that's fair. More than fair even. Because Nintendo's own characters and history is already too big for one game. Some of them are not gonna be in it because of not-Nintendo characters. This franchise is Nintendo's, and no one else's. Didn't Bandai release some other SSB-clone with their characters? Let other companies do that for their characters, but let Nintendo's game stay as pure as possible.

I'm hoping to see Captain Syrup at least being refered to. And Rourke. I can't believe he's a Nintendo character! And I personally would love to see a stage in which you fight on Doshin/Jashin's hands.
