Looks like some news leaked out of Nintendo.  I trust the source.  It's the creator of the VGCats webcomic series.

QuoteGreetings true believers! Well I think it's ironic that a comic about me not updating took place on a Tuesday. Man though... So it turns out Jigglypuff and Ness ARE in Brawl. It was leaked AS I WAS MAKING THIS COMIC. Uploaded it to my DA account to show a time stamp when mine was made.

Also, here's the strip he was talking about.  It talks about Brawl's delay.

Yeah, apparently Lucario was also shown in the new Brawl video on the Japanese Wii site.

Yes, well I'm not specificly glad they're in, I didn't like 'em much. Lucas looks much better Ness.

Hi no Seijin

So, todays update was an example of gameplay over Wi-Fi.  Seeing Samus's Final Smash in action was my favorite part.  Now I know how easy it is to dodge giant laser beams.  Unless, you know, she's right at the edge of the stage and my only other option is to plummet to my DOOM.

That may actually be preferable, because then it's only a self-destruct instead of a KO.

So, I hope instead of just lagging, the whole battle goes in slow motion, because you can practice that, in training mode.

Of course, the beam was rather narrow at around the barrel of Samus's beam. So if you manage to stall in the air long enough, you might be able to avoid most, if not all, of the damage. Plus, luckily for Link, she wasn't on the very edge of the stage. However...I guess the other option would be plummeting to said DOOM.

Heh, Sonic got owned from her Final Smash... XP

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

What is sonic's final smash?

MagmarFire

Sonic becomes Super Sonic. Of course, you could go here to check. ;)

It would be a KO if someone had hit you before you fell.

Also, it was hard to tell considering the size of the video, but I think Mario barely touched the beam, so you might have to stall up in the air for quite a while before it's safe to land.

Sonic might have avoided the Final Smash if Link didn't knock him into it. XD

Well, them's the ropes, I guess. :P

Hmm...I do hope that L-cancelling is reimplemented noticeably. Link seemed a little slow coming out of that one down thrust...

Hi no Seijin

Today's update announced that we could play demos of classic games on Brawl.  I guess it's a good feature for if you want to try out a game before you get it on the VC.  Personally, I'll probably be having too much fun getting smacked around and trying to smack other people around to care much for the demos.

I find it interesting to note that Sakurai hinted at some of the games being full/large-chunked versions, not just demos. ;)

I must say, Sakurai was very humble about the feature too.

that only counts if you are playing by points, which noone does

Gamefreak

Never say nobody unless you have evidence of that.

What if one person did it?  Then you'd look stupid.

DW

I tried it once. Then I learned to just say no.
