It could be that she's helping Link, but secretly working for Ganon and she has a plan to get Link killed or something like that.

Pale Dim

OMG! I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT! IT COULD BE! IT COULDN'T BE! WHY AM I TALKING LIKE THIS?!?!?!

By the way she looks, it looks like Midna's head is too heavy for her body. Especially with that helmet.  :-\

Hero Link

Found this info, in a other Zelda site: "About Midna, Eiji says she won't be able to stop the Twilight Realm's progression on her own, so that's why Link is responsible to help her."
She is good! She wants to stop the Twilight Realm!

Princess Ruto

Midna is someone who saves link

Hero Link

And want Link, to help her, stop the Twilight Realm.

I think it's the twilight form of zelda, it states that link and midna team up because midna has difficulty with her "warped form" probably meaning she isn't used to the twilight realm.

Evilslayer

Link is the only one who changes. Besides, at this moment Midna has been shown in Hyrule, and Zelda in the Twilight Realm. Midna does not seem to be able to maintain her physical form in Hyrule.

Plus, Zelda isn't dark/twisted/evil. Miyamoto stated that Midna is ages ago. That does not, however, mean she's a villain. The Japanese have a very different view of evil. She might be more like a dark hero that fights for justice despite her 'evil' looks, or something.

I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out Midna was really Princess Zelda. Because Zelda was Sheik in OoT and Tetra in WW.

HylianKnight

I saw a video where link has a fairy, maybe Midna appears as a fairy in normal Hyrule. ::)

I would really be dissapointed if Midna was Zelda. Both in the series and its creators. Not only could Midna be a far more interesting character than Zelda (admit it, she's kinda predictable), but it would be the third time she has an alter ego (all in the 3d games). Very original.  ::)

Not to mention I thought the Sheik-Zelda one became a little dumb after she turned back into Zelda. "Oh, I'm raised by the supposedly last member of the big bad Sheikah race/tribe. I act all mysteriously and smart and I can do a few cool tricks. However, if your sword would ever be seperated from you by a wall of fire and I'd be standing next to it, I WON'T throw it back, or even attempt to do so. I will however shout when the fire wall, clearly visible to everyone, will disappear so you can come pick it up. Also, I may be able to teleport, but I run like a three-months old."

Hi no Seijin

Maybe Zelda would've been able to throw the Master Sword back to Link, but she knew Link had to defeat Ganon without her help.  Or maybe she knew Ganon had made it so nothing can pass through the wall of fire.  Why does it have to be that she's helpless to do anything?

Why would Link have to defeat Ganon without her help? TWW Link appreciated Tetra's/Zelda's help. And it's not like Link has the exclusive right to fight Ganon(dorf). And if nothing can pass that barrier, why didn't she throw the sword over it (I don't remember the height of the wall) or magically got it on the other side or do the Sheikah transportation thing again (if that was anything special to begin with).
However, I think I would've been able to forgive her if she wouldn't scream everytime Link got hit, while she's clearly not even attempting to do anything. I don't believe she was helpless. She's Zelda after all.

I just say, run through the fire, then stop, drop, and roll!
