I think the link from Oot and MM is the same link from The first games on the NES.

That's only possible if:

1. The way they look doesn't matter.
2. 3 days in Termina is centuries in Hyrule, in which case the Skull Kid in MM can't be the one you play Saria's Song for in OoT.

Therefore, it's not possible because it is in-game fact that it's the same Skull Kid.
