Well, it only said a handful of evil sorcerers were trapped into it by the Goddesses, so the population couldn't be gigantic.

Are you sure about that? Lanayru said that "interlopers who excelled at magic appeared and tried to establish dominion over the Sacred Realm." He didn't say how many tried to do it.

I see where you're getting at, though. I think I'll side with you on that one. Of course, if there are many generations as Evilslayer said, then that would be more than enough time to create a large civilization.

*End of spoilers*

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Evilslayer

With a few orgies they could do it in one. But let's not consider that possibility. :-*

TheDarkHunter

I have another theory to why the Twilight Realm is not gigantic.

*May contain Spoilers, be wary of the consequences*

Auru says that the Arbiter's Grounds used to be a prison, and it held the world's most evilest and powerful criminals, they were either executed by Death's Sword (The Arbiter's Grounds Mini-Boss) or sent to another realm via a cursed mirror, known as the Mirror of Twilight.

Maybe all the criminals were executed and they had no need to send them into the Twilight Realm.

Or they all got AID's and died...

MagmarFire

Counterexample!!! *may contain spoilers*

Remember that in the desert, Midna said that those who tried to take over the Sacred Realm were banished to the Twilight Realm. THEY couldn't have been executed, and once again, we don't know how many tried to take it over; therefore, for the time being, the size of the Twilight Realm is a moot point.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.
