Let me just say this, I know I am the old man of the forum but let me part some wisdom on you. I have been where you all are at now. Desperate for affection and wanting to be with someone, but let me tell you. The things you do in Middle School and High School with regards to love mean almost nothing. Most people do not find the person they are to spend the rest of their lives with until college or after. I will admit, I never had a "real" girlfriend until college and it wasn't until I was 24 that I found someone who I truely loved. I thought when I was 15 I loved someone but it wasn't love it was psudeo-love. If you are struggling, do not worry, everyone is and do not listen to what others say as it is mostly lies. Yes there may be some that are "players" but they will get theirs. Just be yourself and you will be truely happy and find that person that is meant for you.

Ah, Valentine's Day...the perfect day to hit myself with something blunt and heavy... :-*

There's really not too much about this holiday other than its commercialization. Over at TKR, Hi no Seijin made a VERY GOOD point about Valentine's Day, and I must say that I agree with him 100%.

(1) Valentine's Day is quite a heavy blow to those who have yet to find their significant other while others show off their affection in public. Too bad I have to deal with this just about every day at school. I usually have to put my mind on video game stuff to get my mind off of it. :-*

(2) Why should we show our love to someone particularly on this day? Shouldn't we show our love to others on every day of the year? That is what love is, isn't it? Unending? ;)

yes I know. I guess it's just part of the Valentine spirit to be extra loving.(except to me) Kinda like how the Christmas spirit is to be giving even though we should be like that year round.

You do have a point, especially about number 2.
As for Number 1 that's why I call it Single's Awarness Day.
