Stevens didn't make a mistake, he didn't even say anything wrong.

Was he supposed to say: It'll be great to see them beat us and win Bettis a ring. Plus, Joey Porter isn't even good. They keep showing his sack on Peyton Manning, where he isn't even blocked. I could sack Manning in that situation... When he tries to go around Walter Jones... BAM!!!

I meant he made a mistake by singling out Jerome Bettis, they guy the whole team rallied around to get to the Super Bowl.  That is how they thanked him for his commitment to his team.  Ben Roethlisberger promised him that he would get him into a SB at the time they were losing last years Championship Game.  I keep repeating myself on how important Jerome is to the Steelers as a mentor and moral leader, and I am doing to the point where I am getting sick and tired of saying it.  I find it remarkable how some outsiders can't see how much a person like that means to the Steelers.  Did I expect Stevens to come out and say they were going to lay down and let the other team win?  No.  Had he said the Seahawks would win the game, Joey Porter and the rest of the Steelers would have passed it up.  Everyone on both teams is saying that.  But he had to go and say the Seahawks are the dream smashers.  He and the Seahawks are going to crush the center of the dream.  That is why Joey Porter, the entire Steelers team, and the fans are royaly pissed off at Jerramy Stevens.
