I'll be playing a bunch of Melee, I figure I'll probably still be using the Gamecube controller for the tourney unless I happen to be a natural with the Wiimote.

I suppose I will if I ever get a sufficient kind of connection... Any pointers?

One, check for Wi-Fi in your home. However, it may need a password to hook up to it, so it may take awhile, I ended up asking the GeekSquad guy who installed our new computer what the password was.
Two, If you can't get Wi-Fi, just go with the USB thing.

And is it possible to make an online tournament? Or will we have to play a series of games and record the results ourselves?

Finally, one thing to say about the tournament...

I... Will... PWN YOU!

DW

We can do it completely online. Seeing as how we're scattered, the schedule may be a bit hectic to arrange. Although I seem to be the only West Coast here besides Baka... :'(

Anyways, I just thought of this; Is anybody able to record the matches?

Can there be 3 people playing on Wi-Fi? If so, the third could monitor the match to verify who won.

What will the USB connector do?

I'd love that. o_o

I could even get my friend to play with me. XD But if I do play, then look out for a mii named Nameless.

The USB device plugs into a free USB port on your computer and works with your computer's high-speed internet connection to create a Wi-Fi Hotspot that the Wii (or a DS) can connect to. I think the only catch would be that your computer would have to be on for it to work.

Anywho, I love the idea of having a Brawl tournament, and I think it'd be a heck of a lot of fun. The thing is, though, I have no idea when I'd ever get the game.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

Rev Rabies

see, my only problem is that i have dial-up, but maaybe GF will let me go to his house in exchange for me letting him play?

Hey don't worry about it dial up works great with online play when using the Nintendo wifi usb connector. I have high speed internet, but my friend has dial up and let me tell you the gameplay is still really good. We play Mario strikers charged online. I own the game.

Anywhay I can definately record matches if that is what everyone wants to do. I record Melee matches all of the time and put in my own mucic. Hey for the final match of the tournament between the top two players of the SSBB tourney, I'll even post it in the TDC forums for everyone to see. And yes three people can go online at once, so whoever is the ref of a match can just kill themself, and then the match will begin.

DW

He'll also be the taper. Which makes him....*looks at Raphael*

JDog

Yea, thats what I got now, is the USB connector thing, so yes, I got Wi-Fi now, so I can join the tournament!

DW

Well, it's not Wi-Fi, but whatever, it works. So then, we'll all need to think of a way to make our names 4 letters so everyone knows who everyone is. I'll be either Kris or Shik.
