I'm sorry if this is seen as trolling, but it's something that's been occasionally going through my mind the last few days, and I need to get it off my chest.

Whocares, you have implied several times that if a movie doesn't say anything to you at all about the current world situation (now or back when it was first released), then it's absolute garbage.  The fact that it's a movie made to entertain people means nothing to you, and you imply that it should mean nothing to us as well.  Well, consider the fact that I am a writer, and I write stories to entertain people first and foremost; themes are inevitable, and I will include them and hope people get something out of it, but I still want to give people a good book to read even if they don't.  When you say that something is worthless because it adds nothing new to the industry, or because it tells you nothing, it insults me.  You're telling me that anything I do is potentially worthless, and I don't appreciate it.  So please, stop telling us a movie is no good just because you think it's mindless entertainment.  Sometimes you just need to sit back and let the story take you on a ride.
