Some ISPs change peoples' IP addresses every day. Why this is, I don't know, but it depends entirely on your ISP and its policies whether your IP address changes or not.

It's possible they do that because it hides your computer better online from people trying to attack you with viruses and/or spyware. Wouldn't surprise me any.

That's probably why. While it has the advantage of making people harder to track down by hackers and the like, it has the disadvantage of making people harder to track down when it's really necessary.

Even so, it's probably that "zero-tolerance" crap schools have now, so whoever acted in a "violent" way (yes, I think they'd consider throwing green beans to be violent) is the one who gets in trouble.
