Are you tired of abnormal amounts of spam spewing from characters like Pit and Sonic? Well that's finally been taken care of. I'm sooooooo happy to show you....

BALANCED BRAWL!!!!!

Here are the changes
Quote from:  Balanced Brawl-Smash Boards Thread
1. CHARACTERS WHO WERE NERFED
Wario, Snake, and Meta Knight
These characters were given *limited* reductions in specific problem areas to bring them down a tad, to "Diddy level".

2. CHARACTERS WHO HAD GRABS CHANGED
Dedede, Falco, and Pikachu
These characters have had guaranteed chaingrabs removed. Their altered throws behave similarly to their old ones but can be used in beneficial new ways that replace their old chaingrabs. Please see the next section for specifics

3. CHARACTERS WHO WERE UNCHANGED
Donkey and Diddy Kong, Ice Climbers, ROB,Kirby, Olimar, Fox, Marth, and G+W.
These characters have not been altered. Some, such as Donkey Kong and Fox, benefit heavily from outside changes. (Though, we did add 1% damage to Fox Illusion as a tiny bonus to Fox.)

4. CHARACTERS WHO RECEIVED A FEW MINOR BUFFS
Peach, Zelda, Toon Link, ZSSamus, Pit, Wolf, Lucario
These characters have had a couple minor changes here or there but play exactly the same.

5. CHARACTERS WHO RECEIVED SEVERAL MINOR BUFFS
Mario, Sheik, Samus, PKMN Trainer, Jigglypuff, Ness, and Lucas.
These characters needed multiple buffs to become viable characters, but nothing about their overall playstyle should be changed.

6. CHARACTERS WHO RECEIVED A GAME CHANGER
Luigi, Bowser, Yoshi, Link, Capt. Falcon, Ike, and Sonic.
These characters had some sort of fundamental flaw that held them back from ever being a viable character with balanced matchups. This doesn't mean they are worse than the above characters in standard Brawl; it just means they needed something fundamental addressed. These characters have been given some sort of new functionality on one and only one move that should help eliminate or suppress this flaw. Some of these may have additional minor changes too. For example Ike and Luigi didn't need much else, but Yoshi and Captain Falcon needed small buffs on tons of moves.

7. CHARACTERS WHO ARE NAMED GANONDORF

Ganondorf is named Ganondorf. Ganondorf has new tricks that make him into a proper version of what he always wanted to be. He still has a great deal of trouble getting in and getting going, but once he gets started and starts throwing out tricks, he is far and away the most terrifying character in the game.

And a Chart to help out:

I know I'm gonna get some hate for this, but I'll say it anyway.

Brawl+ >>>>>>>>>>> BBrawl.

Seriously, I saw a three-stock BBrawl match between MK and Diddy Kong--an eight-minute one, I might add. Both opponents only lost one stock, and they just completely skipped Sudden Death. EPIC. FAIL.

I do not like the looks of BBrawl one bit; it only seems to be a branch-off of Brawl+, but one that completely fails. It may be a noble attempt to make Brawl more balanced, but if you're going to hack your Wii for a balanced Brawl, you might as well play Brawl+.

I tell you the truth: most proponents of BBrawl haven't even given Brawl+ a try. Sure, Brawl+ is a huge change in physics, but it makes it a bit faster in gameplay and does balance it out even more because of added hitstun alone.

Anyway, BBrawl just completely lacks fun speed activate, by the looks of the video I saw. As a Brawl+ player, I must give BBrawl my lowest recommendation as a game hack.

You don't need a downgrader. Use Bannerbomb instead.

HackerHero, have you tried this version? Or like, just saw it?

HylianHero92

I haven't tried it yet because I'm (ironically enough) too busy to play Brawl. You see (this is where the irony comes in ) I'm preparing for a release tomorrow, no, today (I forgot it's early) of all textures currently showcased at Smash Domain.

Although I have all the texture files ready, I was stupid enough not to keep track of what they were and, seeing as you are required to change the name of the file so the game may recognize it, I must go through each and every one to see what texture it is.

I'm working in alphabetical order and so far I've made it up to Zero Suit Samus, but her real name (inside the game's coding) is "szerosuit", so I'm technically only up to S.

Oh, and after that I have Items and Stages to go through, so that should be fun.  :-*

Be happy you did, now, i haven't played brawl+ but i don't need to, brawl is perfect as is, it totally tests your skiil, dont like getting spammed, tripeed, or chain grabbed? dont do it, avoid it, it's easy.

I always turn ALL items off (that means the Smash Ball too) because anybody with no skill whatsoever can win using them. Regardless of whether or not items are on though, characters like Pit ( His annoying side+B move) and meta knight (all you have to do is hold down A!) can spam whether or not the player has any skill.

If anything, use the no tripping code. That makes it at least a little more fair.

You can basically hold down A for any character...Like Sheik and Pikachu...  :P

Before I continue, please remember that I hold vBrawl in among the highest respects, second only to Brawl+. I am not bashing it.

Rabies, don't start this again. You have absolutely no room to talk without actually trying it yourself. Of course you don't need to play Brawl+, but don't bash it without playing it yourself. We've been over this before, and and your argument, once again, is completely ridiculous. "Don't get grabbed"? If that's all the defense you can provide for it, that only tells you how imperfect vBrawl is.

yeah, play air game

Well, good luck playing an entire match without changing your direction with a laggy SideB move... ;)

You want to avoid Pit's SideB? Learn how to DI in the direction he's facing and punish the end lag. According to the Pit guide on Smashboards, it seems to be more of an approach than much else. Plus, with the lag, I doubt it'd be a good setup for finishers, especially since it can easily be DI'd out of.

I don't know if it's common knowledge or not, but I'd love to find out what DI means.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but... this.

You guys might want to watch yourselves if this ends up being true. But it's still just a rumor...

DI == "Directional Influence." It's a very important aspect in high-level Smash. It's a technique that alters the direction your character flys when he/she is struck from an attack, performed when you move the Control Stick and/or the C-stick in a specific direction when your character's struck. If you move the Control Stick in the direction Pit's facing while he's performing his Angel Ring, you'll slip right out.
