"Pende Bloodmoss, you are now a member of The Dark Acolytes, and one with the Black Flame. Among us, you will be free of any plights, weaknesses, and feelings of regrets." The sun hangs high in the sky, casting its rays through the leaves of the trees. Unseen in the distance, darkened clouds crack whips of lightning on the world below, and the sound of the damage created hammers the air. "You have chosen the right path, for the day will come when the shadows walk the earth." At that, Wyndisis forms his familiar grin.

Pende:....thank you....
Pende simply stared at his teacher, studying him. "This slimy zora as my teacher? This zora has promised me so much, is this guild really as good as it is cracked up to be? Is this zora realy a kind soul? willing to train the downcast to make blessings out of their curse, or am I a mere fool, enticed with promises of power, like a child with candy. No matter, if I am betrayed, I can betray as well...." Pende looked at his teacher coldly.
Pende: And.... when shall I be begin my training for my new powers?

"I can't say you will need much training, my friend. Simply look inward, think about yourself. See what you want and the Black Flame will give you the power to take you there. Let your hatred strengthen you. You will find that more power will come because you want it. That is the beauty of darkness; it is fueled by greed." He pauses for a long moment to let Pende soak in what he said, as well as meditate on it.
Then he says, "You were there when I was telling Denning that he should kill the new Gerudo King. I noticed you were disturbed that I would ask of such a thing." Wyndisis narrows his dark eyes, "He is in our way, Pende. He stands in our way of achieving the ultimate power, the unlimited power that the Black Flame can provide. There is no question that the boy is a descendent of Ganon, and therefore holds the Triforce of Power.
"Not to mention," he grins, "it is a good way to turn Denning over to our side. I play with peoples' minds like that. I get them to question who their friends and foes are, stuff like that. So when he approached me in the desert, I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone. Denning will be useful when he comes our way. He is one of the lighthearted that I am willing to save from future enslavement."

"Hmmm, strenth from hatred, and power from greed. Sound very good, but what happenes when you get what you want and become happy? You wouldn't have hate once you have what you desire, and you wouldn't have greed, once you have everything..... oh, how silly of me. once, you are happy, you may lose those powers, but you won't need them anymore! This black flame, it is a tool, I feed it, and it powers me. Then, when I finally have what I want, I can just let it die down untiI need it again. Sounds so very handy. This zora shall make an excellent teacher."
Pende:...I see, makes sence....
Pende: If that is true, his death is needed. Sad, but a fact none the less. For what is his life compared to our own? But, how shall the triforce of power be taken from him? I don't know very much about the triforces, but, I don't think they are attached to the child at birth. Perhaps, if the child does indeed posess the triporce of power, the gerudos might hide it somewhere. If that is the case, I'll see how my status as an exile and knowledge of the Gerudo langage can help retrive it.
"Not to mention," he grins, "it is a good way to turn Denning over to our side. I play with peoples' minds like that. I get them to question who their friends and foes are, stuff like that. "Play with people's minds? Like mine?...Still, if Denning is useful, then he should be used. Future enslavement? I can't let that happen to my friends...The other Dekus wouldn't be intrested in joining. K-shat is only involved with filthy thieves, and Grenda would have asked to join back over at the farm....Crambert might join though. he would make an excellent accomplice."
Pende: Very, shrewed, teacher. But, about recruits. There is this goron I know, named Crambert. He is a fellow planing to be an exile as I am. He also intends to follow the path of a bard. Might you be willing to take him in as a recruit? A Deku such as myself needs a bit of muscle around for protection. Bards are also vital to exiles, as we don't accept clerics.

"Crambert is a member of the Dark Acolytes now. Why do I remember him as a soldier?" His gaze pierces Pende, who finds himself locked in the dark for a moment of direct eye contact with Wyndisis. The feeling of being trapped goes away when Wyndisis says, "Oh well."
To Wyndisis, the world is already a dark place. It is as everyone will see it when he starts his society at Nardora, the Shadowland which he resurected using the Black Crystal in his lighthouse. When one of his Acolytes, such as Pende looks into his eyes, they see that darkness too. Right now, Pende sees the conquered Hyrule, the Shadowland. He sees through the teacher, and the teacher sees through him. Pende is locked up by his eyes, but it is less of the feeling of being trapped. Moreover, it is rewarding. The dark tunnel moves, and stops at the stump behind Pende. Pende can see it without turning his head.
He is allowed back to the real world. That is when Wyndisis says, "Take a seat, Pende.
"I have something interesting to talk to you about. The Triforce, did you know, that rather than obtaining it, we should be protecting it? I know, it's a shocker to hear that coming from me. I will tell you why the Triforce belongs in the hands of no one."

Pende: Already a member? That must explain how we get along so well....oh! A seat? Of course.
Pende hoped up on the stump and took a seat.
Pende: So, teacher. I'm ready to be teached about the triforce and how it should be protected.

Wyndisis draws in a long breath and begins to speak. "The legends say that the Triforce, if taken by someone as a whole, grants a wish to the holder. If the person who holds it is pure-hearted, Hyrule will enter a golden age. If the person is black-hearted, Hyrule will become a nightmare.
"They both share one thing. That is, they both have tremendous power. It is hard for one to believe that power can come without lust for more power. Even a kind soul, one who uses his power to benefit the people becomes afraid of losing it. Power causes greed, and the pure-hearted can not have greed. The slightest impurity would lead to corruption of the soul, and all of Hyrule.
"It goes without saying that no one should hold the Triforce, as it is a tool of corruption. It should go untouched. Our power is a better alternative. It does not not corrupt us. The very things that destroy the 'good' in power through the Triforce are those that stoke the fires of the power that we possess."
