Upon entering the cave at the base of the Windmill's cliff (which happened to be at the top of the cliff joining the rich North Forest to the plain, lackluster Highlands), Alpha was met by a small,cranky-demeanored Goron who seemed to shake the earth with his loud, enraged voice. He held an intricate lantern by the handle and swung it viciously at the sound of vanishing footsteps down a dark, rocky corridor. The route was lined with arches and buttresses to prevent a major cave-in, and one could only wonder why anyone would want to dig deeper into the Windmill's entrance cave. Thick clumps of dirt and rock fell from the ceiling and slid from the walls of the corridor as the two Moblins could be heard thundering as fast as their fat legs could carry them into the darkness.
“Bloody Moblins! The caves are underrr constrrruction!” As Alpha zipped by on his strange metal board, the Goron whirled about to flash his dim light at the oncoming Sheikah. “Who the -” cried the Goron before being knocked aside by the quick Magboard. His lantern fell from his hands and shattered on the ground, leaving a pile of splintered wood, rusted iron and tinder. Fortunately, there were several torches leading up the steps and into the Windmill, which served to direct travelers. The construction guard edged his way through the darkness towards one of these faltering torches and plucked it from its mount, blowing on it to expand the flame so that he could better see the advancing Sheikah.
Of course, by this point Alpha was long gone, floating down the corridor on the Magboard after the two treacherous Moblins. A few moments later, another figure emerged from the dieing rainfall outside. The heavy patter of raindrops echoed inside the cavern, but was easily drowned out by the now infuriated Goron's incessant rumblings. “And who the hell arrre you!” he screamed, obviously unhappy about the run-in with Alpha. The red-haired man said nothing and continued down the unsafe corridor, periodically brushing falling debris from his hair and shoulders. “I'm talking to you!” cried the temperamental Goron, flailing the torch madly in the air and cursing at the nomad. Blank said nothing, and took off at a quick run. He was soon lost from sight among the dark shadows. “Forrreman's going to beat me,” muttered the angered Goron, slumping back and propping himself against the wall with a stern expression planted on his small face. He stared intensely at the cave opening for more would-be spelunkers.
Further down the tunnel, the Moblins came to a dead stop. Here there were four separate paths, each one just as foreboding as the one before and just as dark. By now anyone's eyes would be attuned enough to the dark to get a general feel for what was a route and what was a wall. The leader Moblin grabbed the subordinate one and shook him violently, pointing down one of the four tunnels and snarling a command in its Moblin tongue. The rough order reverberated off of the walls of each tunnel and echoed in each one, making it virtually impossible for one to be sure exactly which tunnel a sound was coming from. The less intelligent Moblin nodded with a yelp and took off down one of the tunnels, while the leader chose its own and continued in its own direction.
From all four tunnels, the sound of the leader's voice faded and was replaced by the sounds of objects dropping to the ground. It was obvious that only one tunnel contained the source of the noise, but which tunnel this was would be entirely up to estimation.
Blank snaked his way through the corridor, not far behind Alpha now - it was only natural for a metal board to fare below its potential when confined to a narrow, rocky tunnel. Alpha would be arriving at the fork very soon, and at that point he would have only a fifty percent chance of following behind one of the Moblins. Blank kept his distance and reminded himself to take a route separate from Alpha's.

Alpha zips through the caverns, weaving his way along the walls and around various rock formations on the Magboard as he attempts to catch up with those accursed Moblin thieves and retrieve his staff. Hopefully there will still be enough electricity left stored within it to launch an especially painful attack; Rohtric Khysse would probably be good enough, but the Sheikah suddenly finds himself curious as to what the fourth spell of his style, the Rohtric Veen, will do if the staff is inserted into the forehead of his opponent when it's activated . . .
Glancing back behind him, the Mage nods in satisfaction. His ears can pick up at least one person following him close by. The footsteps echoing through the cavern leave him betting it to be either Saber or Blank, but not both of them - and definitely not that Goron who had gotten in his way earlier. Goronic footsteps were much heavier than the ones he was hearing every second or two, so the Sheikah finds it safe to assume that he closest trailer is one of his allies.
Glancing up ahead again, Alpha slows the already slower Magboard to a stop before leaping off to land at the four-way fork in the trail. His scar suddenly glows violet again, and a quick wave of his hand helps him direct the opening of the portal to the Void to be directly underneath the Magboard. With no ground underneath it anymore, the sheet of metal simply drops back down to the place where it had come from in the first place, allowing Alpha to focus all his attention on which path he should take.
Four paths, and two Moblins - even if they split up, that only leaves him with a 50% chance of guessing the correct path. And if they were smart, they would have stayed together . . . of course, these are Moblins, so smart is not one of the words often used descriptively of them. At first he attempts to use his sense of hearing to pick up on the correct route, but even the Sheikah's superior senses cannot manage to discern a specific direction in a home of echoes such as this. His eyesight doesn't help too much either; even with his eyesight working quite well in the darkness, as one who hasn't exactly done much tracking in his life, the subtle signs of their passage escape him.
But there is one thing that Alpha can do especially well, and that is manipulate electricity. And with such skill at manipulation comes the ability to sense magically enhanced currents of power. Forcing his angered self to relax for at least a few minutes, Alpha stretches out with his magical senses, trying desperately to find a source of electricity, since that will almost definitely be his staff.
His crimson eyes shoot open as he turns to face one of the paths. 'This way,' he thinks to himself as he dashes down it, ready to reclaim that which is rightfully his . . . and hoping rather fervently that he'll have to fight a Moblin or two to get it . . .

Saber's legs pounded sluggishly into the muddy slop that had once been earth, the rain pelting his dampened hair mercilessly as he trudged towards the cave. "Must..chase..them...down..." He grunted, hoping to get to the cave vefore the Moblins got too far of a lead. He lowered his head and pushed harder, but barely increased his speed at all. Damn, I hate the mud...why can't I ever have a nice, sunny mission?
As he neared the cave, he slowed, putting his hands on his aching knees. Alpha had arrived long ago he knew, and Blank also got there before him. That's what happens when you spend a few minutes reveling in the glory of the stunt Alpha had pulled off. He lifted his head and gasped at the figure of the Goron guarding the cave. He approached slowly, waving pleasantly at the large sentry. "Pardon me, but I was wondering if I may have permission to enter the cave? Some of my friends were here earlier, they probably already passed through..." He raised an eyebrow as his last sentence trailed off. What if he doesn't let me through? What if Blank and Alpha get outmanned?

Following the tunnel, Alpha arrived in an oval-shaped room. The ceiling was raised only a few feet higher than the attached corridor's, so Alpha was likely thankful that claustrophobia was not a weakness of his. In this room was... well, nothing. Alpha had arrived in a chamber that had either been ransacked of all life or served no purpose. As he stepped into the barren cavern, his foot tripped a wire, which snapped and came free from the wall. A sizable boulder crashed down behind the mage, blocking the exit as it struck the ground and sent rubble flying at Alpha's soaked cape. It was likely that the tripwire was part of an elaborate security mechanism set up by the Goron construction workers, for the sole purpose of trapping trespassers so that they could be easily cornered and persecuted. Alpha, however, was no ordinary trespasser. Escaping that room would take him as much effort as summoning the Void and reappearing only two feet back. Of course, backtracking would only waste time. The heavy sound of footsteps rang ahead of him; it was likely that the Moblins had reappeared in another room only a short distance ahead. There was a corridor to Alpha's left, and a corridor branching off to the right. The sound was obviously coming from the leftmost path.
At the four-way fork, Blank knelt down and squinted hard. The sound of the falling objects was obviously made from loot being dropped from the inferior Moblin's sack. The nomad examined the ground carefully and felt around with his hand, until finally he grasped at his query with clenched finger. Pulling it close to his face, he waited for it to come into focus in the dark. It was a picture frame, and Blank could scarcely make out the image of a happy family. That must be nice... he thought somberly, shaking his head. But why would the Moblins have taken a trinket such as this? Because it's made of gold. confirmed the understanding Hylian. He fumbled around in the dark for more, and finally he had made certain his path was correct. In his hands he held an assortment of Rupees, jewelery, an pottery, but these he threw away. He stopped caring about the items themselves, as time was of the essence. Standing up, Blank began to run faster down the tunnel, silently acknowledging a simple truth: He was right on the Moblins tail.
The Goron made a rumbling noise in his gut as he went over in his head exactly what Saber had just said. Some of my friends were here earlier... The Goron breathed deep and tried to stifle an angry shout, lest he cause another cave-in. “So, you'rrre with the two Moblins and the hoverrring Sheikah, and that shifty fella, huh? We get enough of you darrrn hoodlums in these caves!” He pointed a twitching finger in the direction of the first tunnel, where in bright orange paint someone had written “Soma rulez!!” followed by an illegible signature. It was only minimally visible in the darkness; if it weren't for the torch there would be no light whatsoever. It appeared as though the current excavation had fallen prey to vandals at some point - and unfortunately for Saber, this Goron was pointing the blame in the mercenary's direction.
“Do you have any idea how much trrrouble we watchmen get in when trrrespasserrrs get by?! The Forrreman's going to take my potato skin rrrations away if you slip by!” Throwing the torch at the ground in the center of the Windmill entry cavern, the Goron flexed his small yet muscular frame. The light burst into a haze of embers at Saber's feet and illuminated the room enough for a confrontation. “If you want to catch up with yourrr hoodlum frrriends, you'd betterrr be one hell of a fighterrr!” The Goron smashed a hefty fist against his chest to intimidate Saber, and then curled into a ball. With lightning speed only typical in such a position, the watchman charged his opponent with an angry roar.

Saber stepped back as the Goron drew conclusions, an appeasing yet frantic grin pasted on his face and his pruning hands waving in front of him. "No, no, you've got it all wrong, I have no connection with the--" He was cut off by the Goron's accusal, and crouched, a result of both his fear and his instinct to get in the ready position. "How....how do I get myself into these things...?" He stuttered with a shaky voice, shivering under the unforgiving rain. Guess....I have no choice but to draw and hope for the best... Even his thoughts were unsure as he reached for the hilt of his saber. However, he never got the chance to unsheath it before the Goron attacked.
Saber tensed as the sentry curled up, and swore under his breath. Hasty....so very very hasty...He thought in his panic as he balanced out and prepared to spring. "C-come now, no n-need to be rash." He tried to appeal to the Goron's better nature through his chattering teeth. As the Goron launched himself forward, Saber crouched even lower and planted a hand on the ground. When the assailant was a few feet away, the mercenary launched into the air, then leveling out and bringing his right foot around, aiming at the Goron's side with his heel as he passed underneath.

Alpha wanders through the dark corridors of the tunnels he has chased the Moblins through, glancing all about him as he struggles to discern any details that may assure him that his senses were not incorrect - to assure him that he really is following the idiot stupid enough to annoy him and take his staff. 'Some time, I really need to get some of the rangers I know to teach me more about picking out useful details. I need to find some way to track these guys down, and all I can do is -'
He stops short as his body freezes, his leg having encountered a slight amount of resistance. For half a second he hopes that his reflexive halt has saved him from a gruesome trap . . . and he's only half disappointed. As the giant boulder crashes down in the tunnel behind him, he wonders if it will take on the cliche concept of rolling after him in an attempt to crush him. But no, this is no gruesome trap, just a quickly conceived idea meant to hold unaware passersby within their walls until the authorities can arrive and remove them. Presumably by force, although they'd have a difficult time holding one such as Alpha against his will. Heck, they'd probably have a hard time holding him by his will. Or whatever the opposite phrase is for 'against one's will'.
So the Sheikah simply shrugs, shaking any pebbles caught in his cape back to the ground before turning back towards the direction he'd been heading in. Just as he does so, footprints reach his ears. 'Far too obvious . . .' he thinks to himself for a moment, concern rising within him as he considers the implications of such a thought. If he really is chasing one who'd managed to survive a Lightning Javelin hitting it head on, then the possibility of a trap cannot be discounted. No matter how stupid the Moblin had proven itself to be by stealing his staff, there was still a chance it could do something smart by accident or instinct.
'Well, won't figure out anything by just standing here,' the Sheikah thinks with a shrug, narrowing his eyes as he once again focuses all his senses on the passage through which he travels. As he heads down the leftmost passage, where the noise had originated from, one thought strikes him: 'Yep, I really need to get some skills in tracking . . .'

The Goron rolled underneath the mercenary, shooting up dirt and rock at the leaping trespasser. He felt a foot strike him square in the left ribcage. It didn't hurt, but was actually amusing to him, due to the *crack!* following the impact. The Goron grinned as he rolled on, knowing very well that Saber had potentially shattered his toes or ankle. Thankfully enough for Saber, however, the spinning rock-muncher's speedy charge had ricocheted the mercenary's foot from the rocky hide, disabling a full impact. Fortunately, Saber only suffered a few sore bones, but the sentry would not relent there.
Unable to stop himself in such an enclosed area, the watchman rolled directly into the carved out wall, smashing into the rocky face at a dangerous speed. Rubble began to fall uncontrollably from the ceiling, some of which struck the guard and the grunt in multiple places. Fortunately for them this displacement consisted mainly of small rocks and simple dirt. Above them, however, a monolithic boulder rumbled and vibrated in place, a few specks of smaller rock debris falling from around it. It was easily Saber's size, and would likely be damaging if it were to fall. The Goron groaned and rubbed his sore head as he stood up to face the mercenary.
He swayed back and forth for a moment, and then steadied himself. “Bastarrrd. You'rrre lucky I wasn't standing perrrfectly still when you trrried that. Foolish Hylian,” he mocked. “The exit is rrright therrre,” he said, pointing a large, earthen finger at the cave's entrance. The angry look - the kind a parent gets when his child is misbehaving - hung over his massive face as his lips moved once more. “No?” He raised his gigantic fists to eye level and stood in a ready-to-fight stance. “Verrry well then.” The Goron stepped nimbly towards the merc and aimed a well-placed right hook at Saber's face.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alpha's choice to follow the tunnel with the resonating sound, despite his inexperience in tracking, was made on proper grounds. Oddly enough, however, the vibrations in the air dispersed as he gained proximity. When he arrived at the path's end, what he found was another cave. This one housed a few torches, making the surrounding easily visible. Alpha was an intelligent person, likely smart enough to identify the creatures here.
Bokoblins. Several of them... there appeared to be four. Three were sleeping around a fire, and one was “keeping watch.” As it glanced up between dozing off at its post, it noticed the dark Sheikah. It jumped, rough scimitar in hand and a decrepit wooden shield in the other. The shield had an odd insignia drawn onto it, but it was illegible. Clearly time, weather, and battle had taken a toll on the dried-out defensive tool. The head of the pack yelled out in its high-pitched grunt. “Gah? Blagaar!” it cried, and one could only wonder what that meant. The other Bokoblins aroused, the four verminous creatures bent low and began to charge at Alpha with their similar equipment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Blank stepped away from the beast pinned to the wall. It's ugly face was screwed up into a perverse screaming expression, although no sound had come from its dumb lips when the nomad had attacked. He sheathed his one remaining sword; he wasn't going to waste time removing the other, after how deep into the Moblin's face and wall it was. He shook his slashing hand, hearing the droplets of blood trickle off and splatter on the ground as he did so. He felt no remorse, not when gazing at the creature he had slaughtered; not after the remorselessness he knew it had lived with. His entire left arm was drenched in the filthy, disease-ridden liquid that he had spilled from the boar-like man. An empty bag of loot rested on the floor, above where the Moblin's feet dangled in suspension. Blank turned from the horrible sight and continued down the next corridor, although doubting the other beast was nearby.

Alpha turns around a corner to find that his eyes no longer have to focus slowly on the shadows, but now have light to aid them in their search for the Moblin with his staff. Normally he would be wielding his weapon while he walked through such a shadowy place, filled with hiding places and multiple paths by which an ambush could be planned. But no, that FOOLISH BEAST had had the gall to steal his staff. And while a Lightning Javelin would be just as effective a weapon, the Sheikah isn't willing to risk the possibility of it firing off unexpectedly in such a closed environment - that could bring the entire place down on top of him and his allies, and while that wouldn't be much trouble for one with access to the Void . . . Saber and Blank lack such access.
Stepping into the light, Alpha's face drops. 'Great, the Moblin's little cousins are here to stall me.' One of the relatively tiny beasts spots him all of a sudden and calls out something to his fellows, reminding Alpha that someday he needs to brush up on his Infernal for situations like this. As they dart forward as one group, the Sheikah's already soured expression turns to one of pure annoyance. "Idiotic fools," he mutters, anger in his tone as his right hand rises upward. A good old fashioned magical attack like this one should take care of such petty opposition to his continuing his trek after that Moblin.
He snaps his fingers, and tongues of fire erupt forth from the torches in the room, coalescing into a blazing wall before the Sheikah's form. With a flick of his hand, he sends it on its way as a tsunami of fire, which sweeps forward to consume the four creatures and burn them alive. Yes, a simple Fire spell should be more than enough to incinerate weaklings like this.

Saber landed from his jump gingerly, his foot screaming in pain as he tested it. Yep, definitely some damage there...ah...Saber, you idiot, no common sense whatsoever...Although it's not my fault I was never properly edjimacated...He watched the Goron roll away and turned to run, realizing he had some time. Unfortunately, a rather large rock fell right in front of him, forcing him to stop and crushing his already hurting foot. He yanked it out with a cry of pain and turned to face the Goron, who had begun to yell at him again.
What is wrong with him..? What did I do...? Why do I get myself in these situations...? He ducked as another rock fell beside him. No time to answer those questions, the only one worth answering at the moment is how to get out... He scanned the area, his eyes settling on the large rock above him. "Ah--oof!" His excalmation was cut off as the Goron's crushing fist connected with his face. Even as he stumbled back, he didn't waste any movement. He plucked a bomb from his bag stealthily, and lit it with a fire spell so as to keep his movements' intentions secret from the sentry. He hurled it at the rock as the fuse ran low, then turned and ran the other way, hoping the diversion would give him time to escape.

The Bokoblin that had first sighted Alpha let out another odd cry as a new light appeared, caused by the shadowy-looking intruder who had been rude enough to wander into the whelps' domain. This Bokoblin could be seen grinding to so quick a halt that the cavern floor's pebbles were sprayed upwards at the dangerous Sheikah. More nasally yelling, the smaller, even stupider version of a Moblin dropped its shield to the ground and shouted in panic as it grabbed hold of another Bokoblin's arm and commanded it to flee down the next tunnel. This one gave a dumb expression, but when it followed the direction of the other's panicked finger, it too acquired that wide-eyed look of shock and began to scream and jump as well, directing the other two to follow.
Not that the four Bokoblins had the chance to get away; Moblins had proven themselves over Alpha this night [for now], and given his state of anger, allowing these fetid creatures to escape would be a shameful offense. Alpha's assumption that no mini-Moblin would be left alive was entirely correct; the blazing firestorm worked its way towards the Bokoblins from all directions, and when it dissipated there was nothing left save for a few floating hazes of ashes and the remains of belt buckles. Of course, if the experience would teach Alpha anything, it would be that charred Moblin corpse is not a pleasant aroma. The stench of crisped Bokoblin hung about the air in the compact cavern and was practically unbearable. Only one tunnel linked from this room aside from the one Alpha had taken. This was located only a few paces from the Bokoblin's now scattered fire. No sounds echoed down this corridor; but there was really nowhere else to go.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Despite not being properly “ejimicated,” as the mercenary referred to his self-decided lack of common sense, Saver was an excellent strategist. The bomb hurtled upwards toward the rock jutting from the ceiling. Fortunately for him, the ceiling was low in the cavern. Low enough that the bomb could reach its intended target on time. The explosive struck the ceiling next to the boulder, and just as it was coming down the fuse ended. A resounding Boom! was heard, and this caused the Goron to become distracted. He stopped his latest approach and gazed up, mouth agape at what he saw. “Oh boy... Forrreman's going to make me fix this one...” His thoughts were lost as the ceiling rumbled violently, and one could probably hear an annoyed “Shut up down there!” from the floor above. The boulder gave way, and came crashing to the ground, causing further vibration in the Windmill entry cave. Bits and pieces of the walls and ceiling began to cave in as a result of the tremors, and Saber was only lucky enough to make it into the tunnel unscathed. However, the buttresses were clearly giving out, and the primary corridor began to collapse all around him. As he arrived at the four-way fork, a rushing cloud of dust and dirt pushed him forward and made it obvious that there was no turning back now.
Saber panicked as he ran helter-skelter away from the falling rocks, ignoring his throbbing foot as best he could. The bust stuck to his wet body and hair, creating a thin, grimy coating over his full form. As he arrived at the fork he never stopped, taking the left-center one simply because it was closest. As he ran, he prayed between breaths. " Favor of the Goddesses, please heal the injured foot of your humble servant...Ugh!" His prayer ended with a grunt as he took a leap over a miniature boulder and continued to run, thankful that the inside of the cave was dry and the floor hard, allowing him to move at a much faster rate than he had outside, injured or not.
Alpha glances around for a few moments, anger dissipating slightly as the fire does the same, revealing the few remaining ashes of the pathetic beasts. A curt grin forms on his face; it might not have gotten his staff back, but by Din it sure felt good! . . . Of course, that's only before the stench of burned idiots reaches his nose. With his senses already magically enhanced in an attempt to locate and keep up with the Moblin, his nose feels more than the full affect of the horrid smell, and his fingers are quick to squeeze the nostrils shut.
A quick glance around him informs the Sheikah that there is only one path to take at the moment. Hurriedly stepping around the floating embers and ash remains and into the tunnel, Alpha returns to his previously angered and merciless state of mind. The hunt has once again begun, and as he fingers the poisonous needles he had used to help magnetize his boots earlier on the Magboard, he recalls that no creature has ever been able to escape from Wraith.
OOC: Great, make me do a check for you, huh? XD
Saber's desperate plea for the Goddesses' to endow him with the energy to continue on successfully was just that. His prayer was answered (16+4 [Roll+Int] vs. 15) and the tunnel was suddenly illuminated with a brilliant multi-colored light - red, blue, and green, that is. Energy quickly rushed back to him, and the mercenary was revitalized to full health. His foot, which had been crushed by not only a Goron's rock-hard carapace but by a falling rock as well, had never felt better. Saber was truly a man in favor of the holy trio.
As he ran onwards through his selected tunnel, the sound of Bokoblins screaming could be heard from somewhere to his left. In the room at the tunnel's end, what he found was exactly what he wasn't looking for; and empty room. Rather than seeing Blank, Alpha or one of the two offending Moblins, Saber was greeted by silence. Well, there was actually a Keese hovering lazily above his head, but it minded its own simple business despite its thirst for the mercenary's blood. There was no light in this room, and so Saber was likely oblivious to the large footsteps he was senselessly trodding over.
Branching off of this room were three routes; left, forward, and back the way he had come from.
Alpha arrived in a room similar to the last - a ring of rocks formed a makeshift campfire in a corner, but there were no accompanying Bokoblins this time. Instead, Alpha found only silence and darkness. What the Sheikah had arrived in was a dead end With no apparent means of continuing on this way, Alpha would be forced to reverse his path and take the only other route available to him. It appeared as though one of two things had happened: Either the Goro-Goro crews had only started this project recently, or they were just too lazy to finish. Either way, the Sheikah would likely be peeved as his staff decreased in proximity with every passing distraction..
Saber sighed in relief as his foot ceased hurting, with not even a bruise remaining. "Thank you, Goddesses...." He mumbled appreciatively as he scanned the room--well, tried to scan, anyways; it was too dark to see anything. He pouted for a while as he thought about what to do, then had an idea. Reaching into a small satchel on his hip, he removed some flammable powder. He put a small bit on his fingertip, pressed his thumb to it, and snapped. The friction lit the powder and created a small lick of flame, and he used what little magical prowess he had to maintain the fire over his palm. It lit the room and he looked around, although not down. He decided to continue down the middle, and did so with haste, the fireball in one hand and his other hand clutching the saber hilt.
Alpha dashes into the next chamber, noting with a single glance the similarities this new room holds with the one he has just visited. A ring of rocks that could have served as a warming campfire rests in a corner, though the dark-hearted beasts that had served as such a minor, albeit time-wasting, annoyance in the previous room are found to be fortunately absent from this one. Without the fire from before, this room is perfectly quiet and perfectly dark . . . the kind of place that the Sheikah is always seeking in order to provide a sanctuary for peaceful meditation.
Of course, something else is missing: another pathway. Alpha grimaces angrily - that's just his luck today. He would be forced to waste time going down a dead-end for the sole purpose of annihilating a few pathetic Bokoblins. Not that he didn't enjoy tearing apart the servants of Ganon molecule by molecule, but . . . he really doesn't have time to be wasting on this. Not if he's going to get his staff back. Sensing the energy being given off by his staff will only work for so long - for as long as there is still energy trapped within the staff for it to give off. After all the energy bleeds out into the caverns, that staff will be lost to the Sheikah unless fate decides to get on his good side (which would be the first time in his life such a thing has happened as far as he is concerned). Not that he can't just get a new staff, but . . . well, why give up on a perfectly good staff? Especially if retrieving it involves disintegrating a Moblin!
Disintegrations look pretty darn awesome, you know.
Shaking his head, Alpha turns around to begin charging back to the most recent fork in the cavernous paths . . . only to stop as two things occur to him. The first is that he remembers his previous thought about this being a good place for meditation. So, taking out a piece of cloth from within his cape, he imbues the fabric with a minuscule, but still noticeable, portion of his magical essence so that he can find this place through the Void again should he ever want peace and quiet.
The second thing almost causes him to slap his forehead. Rather than continue wasting time and energy running through tunnels that may lead to nothing but dead ends, he decides on a much more . . . effective approach. His eyes shut as the Sheikah stretches out with his magical senses, trying to pinpoint the exact location of his staff. If he can find that, then all he needs is to open up a portal through the Void to that location - a simple task for him. If he can find the exact location.
And just in case that should fail, he is already striding back through the tunnel behind him towards the terribly smelling Bokoblin ashes and the fork beyond them.
OOC: Blank, I'll let you decide if Alpha manages to locate his staff, and then I'll reply accordingly.
