"Go on a vacation, where?" The mercenary replied without looking, laying with his eyes closed again. He chose to ignore Ryk for the time being--He seemed too energetic to have a sensible debate with at the moment. "I already live in the scenic Tantari Desert," He said dryly, with a blind wave of the hand. "and I've seen just about everything else in Hyrule while working. We've got a huge mountain range to the west, ocean to the north and east, and a blocked pass to the south." He opened one eye and gazed down at Arrika. "Face it, we're trapped here. I don't have the finances to take a charter across the ocean, and scaling the mountains doesn't sound much like a relaxing break to me." He rolled his head back into its previous position with a loud sigh. "No, may as well just rest."

"I guess you're right... people with your job have pretty much seen it all already," she replied. It seems everyone's sick of Hyrule... "I wouldn't mind a change either."

"Rest while you can..." Seth mumbled. "You're going to need it..." To this Sauron gave a mournful yowl, as if it could also see the flashes of Seth's visions.[/i]

Ryk groaned, eyes closed as the cat clawed his head, which he soon after rubbed. "You mortals are all the same. To me, there's a big difference between the two. Sleeping lets one dream. My hibernatin' thing is...just...my eyes close, then a they open again, and I find myself in a different time." he said, not caring if anyone heard him, which they seemed to do a lot.

"And, Sabey, if you want to rest, here's an idea. Try and get yourself a house or something. Get a cabana. Just try and get some place where you can be alone for moments at a time with no one around." he added, just hoping the Hylian boy heard him this time.

"Hey, Ryk, if you want me to go rest in a cabana, pull one out of your ass." He rolled onto his side and blinked irritably at the nuisance. "I don't have that kind of money." He looked lazily back at Arrika and Seth, yawning. "I wouldn't say I've seen it all, I just want to rest my body, I suppose. There are a lot of things I would like to see...Unfortunately, a number of things constantly get in the way. Mainly money and the fact that South Hyrule's been blocked off from the rest of the world." He turned onto his back again and stared up into the foliage, wondering what he really had been missing. He reflected back on the time where he stood across the castle moat at sunset, two of his closest friends by his side as he took in the sight. He had been able to appreciate it so much back then. Was it because he had been under the impression that his death was close at hand?

Ryk groaned. "Damn my polite and chivilrous ways..." he muttered, before, in what was less than the time it takes for lightning to strike, he was up on the same branch as Sabertache was. The daemon began to search around in one of his pockets, and soon enough, he produced a piece of paper. He then made one of his clawed fingers into what looked like a pencil, crossed something out on the paper, and then wrote something on the said paper. "Here. The deed to my beach house." he said, holding the paper out to the young mercenary.

"Hey, you were asking to be bothered with all the noise you were making," Seth said. Saber's memories flashed before his eyes a moment later and he sighed.

"Wait, you just gave Saber a house?!" Arrika said, astounded. Even though she witnessed Sovelis's extravagant (or what seemed extravagant to her) habits every day she was still a poverty-stricken kid at heart. Even tossing spare change to a bum was still almost out of the question to her. "I wanna see!" She scrambled up the tree and heaved herself on the same branch, which seemed strong enough to support all three of them. She raised herself on her toes to get a glimpse of what was written on the paper.

"Seth! Arrika!"

The two young thieves turned to see a familiar blue-haired rogue waving. Arrika waved back jovially, then turned her attention back to reading over Ryk's shoulder. Kobas jogged up to Seth, patting him on the back. "Been looking for you kids all day. Want to go raid a couple mansions tonight?" Kobas had insisted they "rebond" ever since he'd returned, and going on regular heists every night was always on schedule. "There's a big one a bit north of here or so. Looks even bigger than Sovelis's! What do you think?"

"You want to go try and raid Kasei's house," Seth said, raising an eyebrow.

"Who's that?" Kobas said, not really caring.

Ryk looked behind him, at Arrika, and he grinned. "What? You need one too, Arrika? I've got loads more, should you ever want one." he told her, before looking down, and seeing this blue-haired fellow. The daemon almost broke out with laughter as he heard the rogue's question. "He's the most perverted god of fire I've ever seen. He has a back room full of rare stuff, and one corner of it has loads of golden things. Course, he also is incredibly powerful, and his granddaughter could get rid of the reason you call yourself a man, without you knowing it." he replied.

Saber started as Ryk flew up to his position, blinking stupidly at the piece of paper suspended before him. "I...I can't take a house from you, I've done nothing to earn it. Besides, when would I get to use it? I'm always traveling, I'm a Nomad after all. You really should keep it for yourself. I wouldn't be able to take care of it like you could." He tried to think of several more reasons to reject the offer as politely as possible, wondering what had brought about this sudden charitable attitude. He continued his ranting babble until Kobas approached them--How these kids had a habit of constantly finding each other, he had no idea. It was almost like how Burlo kept popping up wherever the mercenary went. "I would avoid getting on Kasei's bad side." Saber added to the dissuading attempts of Ryk and Seth, hoping this would make everyone forget about the deed.

"Wait, am I correct in assuming that you're not going to take the house? Saber, what kind of an idiot are you?" Arrika said, grinning. "Well, if Saber obviously doesn't want it..." She stuck out her hand hopefully.

Kobas made a face as he contemplated the situation. "Well... 'rare' and 'gold' is enough of a reason to go anyway! Right, Seth?"

"I'd rather not change my fate to a fiery death."

"Hmm. Arrika, you'll go, right?"

Arrika didn't want to refuse him, but didn't think Kasei or Aria would take too kindly to three thieves breaking into their house. "Ummmm...." The Sheikah was starting to notice how Kobas was getting even crazier and erratic with his stunts. And out of all of his friends, only Rebecca had gone along with every single one of them with a smile.

The excited look on Kobas's face immediately turned downcast, and the younger thieves knew he was thinking of Rebecca. Beautiful Rebecca, who was now dead and hanging from a noose in a land across the sea unless her body had been burned already, lynched by a group of villagers who accused her of witchcraft a week before Kobas had returned. Kobas made it seem that he'd gotten over it, but they knew better.

The smile faded from his face, which was quickly replaced by one they knew was fake. "Hah. We'll do something else later, then." He winked. "I think I'll stop by anyway, just to see what his legendary granddaughter looks like."

Ryokiden grinned at Arrika, waving one clawed finger in her face. "Sorry, their-girlie. This deed is for Sabertache, and Sabertache alone." he told her, before turning to Saber once more. "Saber, if I actually lived there, I wouldn't be giving this to you. Secondly, this cabana is in Tantari. You'd be right near your quaint, little booth." he explained, before creating one of his own daggers, stabbing it through the op of the paper, and then pinning it to Saber's tunic.

"That is yours, and if you dare give that back to me, I'll not only pin this to your shirt, but then run you through with a spear, and then pin that to the door of the cabana!" he said, smiling as if he wasn't speaking with murderous intents. He turned once more to the Sheikah girl, "And, if you want a house too, just ask. I'm sure you and Sovelis can think of a lot of things to do when you're alone, now can't you?" he said, grinning at the end.

Arrika opened her mouth to say something twice as insulting but found all she could do was fight to keep from blushing.

On the ground Seth laughed. "What, I guess sleeping with him every night at home isn't enough-"

Kobas clapped a hand over his mouth, saying, "Now, Seth, don't make fun of her. I'm sure one day you'll find someone special and want to think dirty thoughts about her night and day too."

"Both of you shut up!" Arrika said, stamping her foot, causing the branch to sway.

Sabertache blanched at the grisly image painted by Ryk, and gingerly grabbed the deed between two fingers. "Fine, I'll take it..." He mumbled, unsure of what he would do with it later. As he listened in on the risque conversation being held between Arrika and her friends, he began to wonder if he would find somebody to spend time alone with in that cabana...Of course, he had more urgent matters to attend to before he bothered with relationships. He removed the dagger and played with it thoughtfully, his mind drifting to thoughts of the future as the others began to fade away.

Arrika seemed aghast. "That's it? 'Fine, I'll take it...'" She mimicked. "Not going to jump for joy, or just say thank you? You just got a freaking house! I don't think you understand what just happened."

"So, Saber. A cabana all to yourself? I know a bunch of pretty girls, just in case you get lonely. Sheikah, Hylian, Zora, you name it. How do you like em? Outgoing, quiet, witty, lusty?" Kobas continued in a businesslike tone, one very similar to the time he offered to give Saber a whole new identity. "You can even get 2 or 3 at once if you want."

Ryk grabbed his sides, as he began to laugh uncontrollably. "I already think ol' Saby here has his eyes on a girl!" he was able to say, and then, since his legs were not holding onto the branch, he fell off, and landed on the ground, his body now in a grotesque position, and the daemon still laughing.

He stretched out his legs, which then straightened out with revolting popping noises, and stood himself up. The same happened with his arms, and finally, he cracked his knuckles. "Ahh...Nothin' like a good back-breaker to refresh the body."

Saber remained deep in thought until he was snapped out of his reflections by the boistorous Ryk. He heard only what the odd being said, and blushed furiously as he averted his eyes, not wanting to look at the unpleasantly mangled form on the ground below him, writhing back and forth painlessly. "Who said I have any time for a companion? I spend all day running around, doing loads of random, usually pointless tasks for petty change. I hardly need another person to support. He saw Kobas' grave expression and drew a conclusion based on what he had seen at the New Years' party up in Ruto (OOC:Which I will continue after I get something finished--Trust me, it will be worth the wait, I just have to get something worked out beforehand) and rolled his eyes. That would explain why Ryk was talking of the mercenary's lovelife. "Kobas, I'm not paying you for anything." He said with an exasperated sigh. Some rest this had turned out to be.
