Worru looked confused, though it was hard to tell through the metal helmet he wore. "Wait, why can't we just attack them?" he asked, the helmet moving so that Worru could look up at Leth. "I mean, really, if Sovelis was able to take them out with a single Elemental Explosion, shouldn't we be able to take them out ourselves?"

"Actually," Said Leth to Sovelis, "That's not a bad Idea. I- wait. No, that won't work.The single survivor is the one that would get the reinforcements. He would most likely be with them, and our 'performance' would not last ten seconds. Besides, if you wiped out the entire group with one elemental explosion, how would one soldier be able to take you down that easily?" Then he turned to Worru, his question still hanging in the air. "And, if they knew that he could destroy them like that-" Here he snapped his fingers- "wouldn't they be a bit more cautious next time? Like, maybe bring some more professional soldiers? Maybe even a black mage, to counter Sovelis's attacks or something. I mean, they can't be that stupid. Wait- shhh!" Leth stopped speaking. The sound of soldier feet was faint, but growing louder. They were coming. "Quick, we've got to do something, before they see us!" They were close now. Just then, two figures dropped from the ceiling. It was Jake and Laura. "We've scouted out the area ahead while you were arguing." Said Jake, who rarely spoke. "The pathway left is the way to the dungeon. Come quickly." Laura paused. "There is a group of about one hundred soldiers behind us, headed by one of Pearanus's generals, who are all trained by Pearanus himself in the art of magic. Sovelis's Elemental explosion wouldn't be as devastating this time around. Now, quickly, down the hall!" And she broke off at a run down the hallway to the right. "Well, what's everyone standing around for? Let's go!" Shouted Leth, and he ran down the hallway.

The teen Sheikah followed Leth, not feeling very optimistic about anything but thinking, Soldiers not stupid? You'd be surprised.. She wasn't much of a leader and would much rather be ordered around, so she followed him without speaking. She sprinted up next to Laura easily, still shadowmelded and invisible, so the only way you could tell she was beside you was if her cloak happened to whip your face. "One hundred mages? Now, is that like not much to the boss of this fort, or is this him at full speed?"

Who said I can throw attacks like that around all day? Even I have my limits." Sovelis said, running after Leth and the others. The Tempest took position at the back, to cover the others since he was more likely to survive an attack than anyone else. Just because I can doesn't mean I'll survive long... he thought, glancing over his shoulder to make sure that no one was behind them; Yet.

"Leth, I say that a quick extraction is in order then. While you all get Drom, I'll provide a diversion." Sovelis said. "I know a little about this Pearanus. Only someone with an equal darkness inside them can face this madman." His voice seemed urgent, as if he was on the edge of the brink, ready to plunge head-first into the swirling power that lay hidden...Sealed away in him. The corruption sang its violent song to him, its screaming power was attempting to seduce him yet again. "But if I do this, you all will have very little time to get out. Less than ten minutes at best...Thats as long as I can maintain my will anymore. Any longer, and you should consider me lost, and no longer on your side..."

Leth glanced at Arrika. "If I understood her correctly, there are one hundred soldiers who are led by a mage. And, Sovelis, If you stop now, I don't know if you can make it by yourself. If one person stops, we all stop. Wait! I think I hear something ahead!" Around the corner, comes a young boy holding a spear, and he and Leth crash into each other. Leth gathers himself. "Drom! How did you escape?" Drom stood up. "I really don't know... I used some really strange energy, and-" Then the mage rounded the corner behind them. "No time to talk now!" Said Drom. He raised his spear, which had aquired a strange gold aura. It seemed to be generating from Drom's body. "Let's do this!" He said.

The four who went by Matt, Orpheous, Silna, and Simon, had merely been following the group the whole time, looking like soldiers. When their cover was busted, they wanted to assist with the fighting, but the others had it under control. So they continued following the group, acting as though nothing much had happened, but when Drom showed up, they were all surprised. Then Matt spoke, "Well, if we found Drom, didn't we accomplish what we came into do." He turned and muttered to Simon, "What does he mean let's do this?" so no one could hear him. "I don't know," replied Simon audibly, but still whispering. Almost like a whispered shout.

OOC: Um... an evil mage at the head of one hundred soldiers has been following us, right? So I think that, if he rounded the corner and is facing us, then we should fight them, right? That would be why Drom said, "Let's do this." We're fighting them!

Worru simply looked around wildly, before settling his hands on the handle of the sword he got from the armory, preferring to dirty the blade that wasn't his before using his own Swiftspirit. He followed Drommlin, an unlikely occurance, save for charge into battle. His adrenaline pumped, as it always did, as the boy still ran in his stolen armor into what was just another small battle in his life.

Leth was staring at Drom, startled by his sudden transformation from little boy to fierce warrior. And what was this energy that seemed to fountain off of him in waves? To tell the truth, Leth was a little afraid of the power that resonated all around him. Polari, on the other hand, was looking at Drom and nodding. He suddenly made a jump off of Leth's Shoulder and onto Drom's. He started speaking to Drom, but Leth couldn't hear what he was saying. Drom seemed to almost... power down a little bit. Drom was looking at the floor as Polari kept speaking. Then he looked up and nodded at Polari, and the minish then made the astounding leap back up to Leth's shoulder. "I never knew you could jump like that." Leth said. "There's a lot about me you don't know." Came the surprising reply. Leth was silent. "It seems I don't know anything anymore. Nothing that's happening makes sense." Then he raised his sword and charged into the battle, followed by Drom and Worru.

Leth's borrowed sword gleamed as it smote the air on its downward path towards one of the soldiers. Leth waited for the impact of steel on steel... but it never came. Drom, Worru, and Karuna all discovered the same thing. Their weapons were all suspended in midair. Even Drom with his new superhuman powers was susceptible to this sorcery. Maybe he wasn't as invincible as Leth thought... The mage was smiling. "You think I will let you just destroy all my soldiers while I stand by? I think not. I could sic my men on you, and destroy you all, but I'll be merciful. I challenge the demon mage to a wizards duel!" He said, pointing a finger at Sovelis commandingly. "The rest of you cannot interfere by right, so you may leave Leth and keep your lives. The master has no use for you anymore, Drommlin, so you may also leave." The wizard turned back to Sovelis. "If I win, Leth gets taken in to our custody. If you win, you can see if you have enough time to escape from my men and the two elite mages on their way here. Do you accept?"

Sovelis looked up at the man, his eyes clouded with his own power and hatred. "I will accept your challenge... But If I win, I will not stop until I kill every, last one of you sorry bastards... A threat like you is not needed in this land. Not while I'm here." he gripped his staff tightly in his hands, feeling the smooth wood against his skin, ready to smash a face or two in. I can take one one of them... And even if I die, I'll still be able to get away after they toss my body out... while I'm out of it, I might just possess one of them to kill Penareus myself...

"Are you ready? Now, you will face a small portion of the power that destroyed an entire world..."

The mage raised his hands, and a transparent blue semi-sphere shimmered into existence around them, leaving them inside of it. "This will keep anyone else from interfering. No one can go out, and no one can go in. I call it the 'playing field'." He lowered his hands. "Power that destroyed an entire world, eh? he grinned. "All right, show me." There was an odd look on his face, like he knew something that Sovelis didn't.
