The thief's dark eyes narrowed suspiciously. Kamiko had seemed the type that would go down fighting, not giving up only minutes after the match had started. Despite her doubts she reacted a split second too late to the surprise attack and she reeled away in pain from the slash across her right shoulder.

"I have to admit I didn't expect that, coming from you," she said with a sardonic smile. "I won't underestimate you like that again."

If Kamiko was now going to use unanticipated tactics, Arrika could do more or less the same. Being a thief, she was not expected to know any magic or have any great skill with it, and as far as she could remember no one had ever seen her use a spell in a fight, until today.

"Elemental Burst!" Arrika said, feeling the familiar rush of magic sweeping from her core to concentrate on her hand. She had never cast this spell in combat before, which was a lot different from practicing alone in the Deku Woods, and she didn't even know which element she was about to use. She hoped it was light; Kamiko was a Sheikah as well and that would do the most damage.

Everyone's eyes widened when they heard these words: "Elemental Burst!". Nobody expected to see a display of magic this fight, and the crowd went absolutely nuts as Arrika's spell took the form of nature! [Roll(1)+SPI(1)=2]

Nobody in the audience would have expected Kamiko to be able to dodge the surprising angle of the attack. In fact, nothing seemed to happen at first- until suddenly, the ground beneath Kamiko began to tremor a bit. Suddenly, vines shot up from the dirt, wrapping all around the nomad's being, trapping her in place.

As suddenly as they had appeared, they began tightening, and squeezing the life from their target. Tightening more, and more, the vines clearly intended to crush their victim. Rafael considered stopping the fight for a moment or two, that is, before the vines loosened, and ended their assault, retreating back into the ground from where they came.

With a massive 13 dmg dealt to Kamiko, the audience fell silent. Some of them were moved by Kamiko's stamina, and many of them, even if Kamiko were to lose, would become fan's of her's for her amazing stamina throughout the battle. A few began to chant Kamiko's name, hoping to give her some sort of strength to pull through, while others were calling out to Arrika, asking her to finish her opponent off.

"And it all comes down to these last few moments!" Rafael shouted over the chanting. "Who will emerge victorious? Does Kamiko have something up her sleeve to save her?" Rafael knew Kamiko had to be tired after the constant attacks. Anyone would be. Everyone waited in eager anticipation.

Kamiko swayed back forth a little bit and then narrowed her eyes as she began recalling all the time she nearly died thanks to her good-for-nothing father. thinking about it she close closed her eyes,looked down, and as soon as she did she looked up this time with a more aggitated look in her eyes.

She then tightened the grip on her sword and dashed foward with a remarkable speed that shiekans are known for and began a frenzy of attacks .

OoC - I would like to use honorable kill if you don't mind

Kamiko's honorable kill falls just short of reach, and doesn't even touch Arrika. The crowd falls silent, as they watch Kamiko desperately attempt to keep the fight going. But it seems pointless, and everyone knows it. Arrika's final blow is awaited as some heads turn down, touched by Kamiko's will to carry on.

Arrika let out a bark of laugh in triumph. She hadn't even moved, yet Kamiko had missed. In the blink of an eye she was inches away from her opponent, a wide grin on her face that revealed abnormally, slightly pointed teeth. Her normally dark eyes flickered to red inconsistently. "I'll give you points for trying." She drew back the hand that held her dagger, stabbing forward into Kamiko's chest for the blow that would end the match.

Arrika thrusts her dagger forward, only to be dodge by the ever willful Kamiko.[AGI(6)+Roll(8 )= 14]VS[DEF(19)+AGI(5)=24] "My word." The Rito speaks into the mic. "Kamiko dodged the attack, and is still going for it!" The crowd watched silently as the battle dragged on. Some chanting within the audience started up again, trying to will Kamiko forward. "This is heartbreaking ladies and gentleman." Rafeal spoke, as he dropped down from the air, landing as far as he could from the action, while still being able to see the battle clearly. "C'mon Arrika... Just finish the poor creature already." He spoke under his breath away from the mic.

OOC: Also, L1NK4NDZ3LD4, Even if Honorable kill would have hit in that situation, it wouldn't have worked. Honorable Kill only works when (if the damage is doubled) it would be enough to kill the enemy. So, since your attacks only do 8 damage, your opponent would have to have 16 HP or less for the skill to work.

Kamiko does a side step dodge to block the oncoming stab. As she did she grabed the extended arm and and brought the hilt of her own weapon and smashed it into the vulnerable part of Arrika's arm - the elbow - hoping to brake it as soon as she did she attempted to trip Arrika and stapArrika in the other sholder.

OOC: I guess I'll do a bit of GMing since ZV hasn't been.

IC: Kamiko's onslaught of attacks was skillfully avoided by Arrika (12+5[roll+AGI]vs.16+6[AGI+DEF]). "Luck really isn't on Kamiko's side today," Rafael shouts to the crowd. The crowd has no visible response; this thought has quite obviously crossed their minds before. They merely stand there, wondering if Kamiko will be finished off with the next strike.

OOC: Sorry for the poor post quality. I don't really feel up to it.

OoC: Are you allowed to do that Well it's fine, since ZV disappeared and this topic died for a couple weeks.

IC: "Hah!" Arrika managed to gasp as she rolled away, causing billowing clouds of dirt to rise from the speed of her actions. She could feel her adrenaline rising as she held out her palm for another Elemental Burst, knowing that this could quite possibly be the winning strike.

It has been 5 days. I think Arrika would of won.

If a participant does not make a reply to his fight's topic three days after his opponent has posted, they will forfeit the match.

OOC: No, Sukotsutsu. What it should have said was: If a participant doesn't reply 5 days after the GM, that person forfeits the match. So, no one has won yet.

IC: The attack flies forth through the cloud of dust toward it's opponent. The spell flies toward Kamiko , making contact. Fortunately for her, it's a burst of shadow, but she is still unable to resist the spell (8+1[roll+SPI] vs. 20) that deals out 9 damage, and ending the match.

Rafael swoops down, announcing Arrika's victory, then signaling a few cloaked Clerics to heal each of the participating fighters.

OOC: This is the end of the first round (finally). The next round might be up next week, but I'm not sure.
