"Go ahead and open up your wings, we’ll fly away"

Chisalu spun about in the middle of the courtyard absently, swinging her arms each way, as her lilting voice followed a string of dainty words. "Reaching toward the future if we try, you smiled at me, it’s then that I can see" She kept half-singing, half-chanting them, as if she were weaving some spell. Ancient and powerful, resounding with all-powerful magic and might. "The unanswered prayers shining bright within your eyes" She turned, dodged, dainty and careful, as if trapped in her own glass-universe. “A leap of faith! There’s no way we can turn back, it’s a sin, but we’ll just have to trust it now”

She contorted into a shell-motions, eyes flashing closed, as her tempo slowed to match the lighter tone of her voice “This meeting of chance can be our only pleasure-line, it’s what we both promised on that day”

“So go ahead and open up your wings, we'll fly away. We'll never falter if we only try. Seizing tomorrow while we get hurt on the way.” Her eyes danced open and her head caved into her. “I'll never forget what you said. Those kind words from your heart, they will always stay with me.”

She finished, shutting the note-word short, her final spin stilling with it. With that she twisted one leg to step off to one side, head ducked shyly down. She held as still as a thinly carved statue, and several minutes passed with her motionless.

She looked up slowly as her arms and legs started trembling from the strain of staying still in such an awkward curtsey position, red eyes hopeful, but alas-

The ground in front of her was as devoid of rupees as before, Chisalu instantly snapped out of her practiced, mature, graceful pose and stamped her foot on the ground in contempt. She snarled wordlessly and stomped off to one side, sitting down so clearly childishly, and began massaging her bare-feet.

Dancing on this hard ground was not the most pleasant of experiences, especially when her dance required she keep the slaps of her pads silent. Chisalu bared her teeth and kept rubbing at her sore toes, her slight fingers noticing where blisters were forming.

Tucking her elbows in she shifted her foot into her lap to gaze at its underside critically. “Ungrateful people,” She mumbled to herself, biting her lip as she scratched at the developing sores, wincing. “Hmph”

Ooc: Yay, first time posting -nervous-

The lyrics used in question aren’t mine (I’m far too lazy) they belong to Rikachuu’s English lyrics for Tsubasa wa Pleasure-Line, an excellent song that I recommend.

Oh and Chisu is trying to busk. Is that legal in Hyrule? Haha.

The small figure made his way across the courtyard, being knocked about in every direction by the masses of larger people that always seemed to flood the public forum. At times he would find himself getting in arguments with the ones who paid him any attention; he would be called a small brat and a dark-clothed little hoodlum and sent packing with a quick boot. These people were so rude!

… Not that he didn’t look like a suspicious brat. With his child-sized cloak-and-gloves-and-boots ensemble, despite his hood being pulled down and his messy, fair hair showing triumphantly, he probably did appear to be up to no good.

The courtyard always seemed so busy. He really hated coming to North Castle, but there was really nowhere else in the world he wanted to be. There were the dark places, which only frightened him, and he was glad to be allowed fresh air and a community to explore at any time. The countryside bored him, and he had no boat by which to attempt a voyage to other lands (the sea was far too vicious a place for a young boy anyway).

<center>North Castle has better food than Rauru and Ruto, too.<</center>

His eyes caught something absurd. Another small person! Quickly he darted through the masses and arrived near her side. She was dancing, and singing too. He watched her stop and scan the area for people watching and storm off to rest. It seemed as though he had not been noticed.

<center>Probably didn’t expect more kids to be running around and phased me right out!</center>

He walked over to her and remained silent as she rubbed at her aching feet, taking note of the blisters and her distress.

<center>Yuck. She could use a good pair of shoes. She must be a very poor girl; dancing for money? Is that even… legal in Hyrule?</center>

“Hi!” he blurted out, equally as childish as the girl was herself. “I didn’t think I’d see anyone like us out and about in the courtyard today. Why, you must be even younger than I am!” His face suddenly went red. “What’s, um… what’s… What’s your name?”

OOC: I’m not sure if that is legal, but I’m doubting she’ll be arrested for it just yet. Had to poke fun at that fact a little, heh.

Also... welcome to Hyrule Adventures! I can already tell you'll fit in great =D

OOC: Wow, very impressive for a first post. Welcome to HA2, Persona! ^_^

IC:
The crowd is thick, people everywhere, shielding one more passerby from the ever watchful eyes of the Hylian Knights patrolling the streets. It is the one reason he can still pass through these streets, though his face must remain shielded from sight by the black hood he bears. 'These people call themselves the protectors of the people,' the mage thinks as he rounds a corner, glancing behind him to catch sight of another group he had just passed. What a lie; they serve naught but the Orderlies who rule this land, unwilling to usurp order and replace it with justice.

He shakes his head and looks back to his front, stopping just in time to avoid running into a young girl sitting there, rubbing her feet. His eyes narrow in annoyance, not at her, but once again thinking of the Knights he has just passed by. They allow a girl like this to live on the streets, and do nothing to stop it. How is that more of a crime than accidentally starting a fire? And yet they wish him dead for that accident, when their law holds none responsible for a homeless person dancing on the streets for money.

"Watch yourself," he says gruffly as he looks down at the girl, and then over to a young boy who has joined her, dressed in . . . interesting . . . garments. He simply nods to the boy, recognizing the outfit but not wanting to say anything concerning it. Hopefully the girl won't be to annoyed by the fact that he's abruptly forgotten all about her.

The crowds indeed were a great hiding place, but they weren't the only one available to those who wished to remain . . . under the radar, so to speak. Kasei Dornmos Gobi, for example, was one of thoe people, and, in his particular case, the very shadows between people or in the dark back roads were the perfect hiding place, and he wasn't alone. Doubtless, countless other shiekahn were hidden in the darkness, watching the passing people and each other, theirs was a race of shadows.

Kasei, though, stepped out of his hiding spot in an ally when a certain someone appeared to meld out of the crowds; a red-haired, average-hight man who was dressed in rather regal robes. Kairos. Kasei thinks, He has news then, most likely. The Rebel Flame proceeded to walk openly, weaving in his red outfit towards his freind, his dark blue hair waving slightly as he moved. As he got to Kairos, he smiled. "What is it that braught you from your sanctuary this time?" The man asked of his freind. The Hylian looked at him with a twinkle in his eye. "Another shift in destiny has been made. Someone has arrived to perhaps change the fate of Hyrule. As always, her actions could change so many things. Her simply arriving today has already put several events into motion that cannot be stopped." The psychic said eerily.

Kasei looked down at him. "Oh, really? And who is it this time?" He asked rather skeptically, and, as soon as the words left his mouth, Kairos pointed to a girl in the courtyard. "Her name is Chisalu. Let us see how fate weaves around her." He said.
Kasei turned away. "You do that. I shouldn't even be here, remember?" He said. Kairos smiled. "Indeed. Be on your way, the Seven Stars are supposed to be lessening their activities."

OOC: Hello there! That was a great first post! Sorry neither of them encountered you directly, but both are rather . . . . difficult. Perhaps if you came across Aria or Denkou, maybe even Jack, you'd get a welcome. ;)

Her skin itched. It itched with paranoia and the unwelcome eyes on her, she would have been content if they had watched her dance, but to watch her on the ground, off the job, and in pain was another matter. Flesh crawling, she snipped a quick startled stare at the shadows, animalistic instincts of dread creeping in her. She was being watched from there. A boy, she fixed him with the look of a fox in a trap, and finally a man, probably the most dangerous there. Standing over her, like a great looming-creature, he would have been taller even if she weren’t curled on the floor.

The sudden attention on her, whether obviously displayed by the people involved or not seemed to short-circuit her nerves into action and Chisalu jumped to her feet with alarm, her fingers suddenly vanished into the folds of her clothes, and the shape of a small but distinct fist clutching an unknown weapon. Red eyes flashed at the tall man with the short-attention span and she opened her mouth to snap at him, but closed it. He wasn’t paying mind to her and he could indeed wait, pensive, arrogant adult no doubt. Not that she enjoyed labeling people, but a lot of people fit into that inclusive category. She gazed at the other boy, and edged back surreptitiously.

“I’m a bit short for my age,” She said carefully. She appraised his strange attire, light-hair, and red-face, in the end it was the red-face that made her answer. It would have been a bit too difficult for one as young as him to mimic a blush. Still, she didn’t loosen her grip on the hidden dagger. “My name is Chisalu Ki Nuo, I’m twelve,” She said carefully. Her attention faded, “Not that I’m hungry and on a job, but.” she trailed off her light sarcasm, not even finishing.

She glanced at the older man again. He had seemed at least gruffly sympathetic to her cause. She shifted from one foot to the other awkwardly for the moment, her feet still stinging from the floor, and her body in uproar at her weight. Finally she gave the mage and the boy both, a clearly hungry look.

Curtseying to the man who need not even reward her with more than a comment. “Sir, can I interest you in a dance?” She smiled as sweetly as she could, knowing full well it would probably be lost upon him. But she waited patiently. “I can dance all manner of things and my singing voice is not exceptional but fares well enough for a performance” She added, as liltingly as she could, trying her best to encourage the man to accept her offer.

Certainly, the rule being of busking, that if you accepted a request of dancing, you should at least offer something in return. Chisalu held her smile, which was astonishingly sincere, although more of a starving-wolf smile than one of childish joy. She certainly was not dancing for this mage’s benefit.

She blinked sacrantly at the boy as well, “Or you…well I’m afraid I can’t call you sir!” A half-laugh tinkled into dust and she kept staring at both people in turn, blinking at the perfect rhythm for, ahem, cuteness. Perhaps her greatest weapon in her entire small arsenal.

Ooc: Goodness me, sorry family business came up and I was inactive in my first few days, very irresponsible of me.

I doubt it is legal, but who’s gonna’ stop her? It’s nice to meet you Maverick, and thanks ^_^

Oh! Would YOU be the famous (or maybe infamous) Alpha-‘senpai’ I’ve heard so much about? Writer of Master Quest? If so, then it’s an honour to meet you!

And thanks for the welcome (this is going to be a very long ooc message too I see) it’s a pleasure to be actually roleplaying again, heh. Impressive? Maybe, but only for a first post, but hopefully HA2 should do my writing the world of good.

Finally, hello Kasei~ And difficult might be the word, I had no idea how to reply to them so I just had her get a little creeped out by watching eyes. Hopefully they’ll dip in later, but I still have no clue how to include them, my apologies..;;

EDIT::

Chisalu isn't after your HA2 money directly, by the way. I just found the donate thing and realized you can donate rupee, but she's not after it I swear. Sorry just, thought I'd make that clear, it's just my way of introducing her..

Aiden slipped out of the nearest bar, looking rather weary and disorderly. She had spent the night performing for the drunks and all other sorts. Most of the morning had been spent trying to escape their 'kindness'. Stepping out into the light she felt instantly better. Her racing heart slowled and she only hoped Saber would never have to witness.. shaking her head she stopped the thought. No, wait, she didn't just stop the thought, the music did. Her gaze shifted until she spotted the young girl and the smile on her face faded. At one point she had performed in streets, but never for long.

Pulling herself from her own memories she straightened up, her slender figure curved in all the right places. Instantly her hand went to her hair so she could inspect the golden curls. The night's damages was minimal, she had tied her hair back early and now a few curls had sprung free to hang around her face. The effect added a more natural beauty, but also showed she wasn't afraid to work hard. Her bare feet made minimal noise as she slipped through the crowds without bumping into a single person.

She was planning on dropping a few of the rupees she had earned at the girl's worn feet, but shifted into a less noticable position as Alpha came forward. Her soft gaze studied the mysterious male for a moment before landing on the girl's once more. The girl was good on her feet for sure, but Aiden knew a bard when she saw one and this girl was not one of them. Titling her head she sighed, only few others could have such skills, but those careers were very different.

Sashaying forward her skirt swayed about her, the skirt was made of four long pleats that reached to her knee caps. Under the skirt was tight black tights so when the long slits parted all you could see were the tights. Her top was a skin tight tunic with no sleeves, black like everything else. On her hip her purse with rupees jingled, but in her hand she held ten rupees for the girl, which was a tenth of her total income for the night.

Chisalu swept round from the two men who had captivated her mind - which apparently was not singly held - as she appraised the female offering the money towards her. A true opportunist would have instantly ascertained that there was things to be had, but Chisa was far too given to fearful supposings to simply...grab the glittering gems proffered to her. So she studied the girl, quietly and seriously considering.

She skimmed the person, only then she dipped in a polite curtsey, before slowly raising her eyes, with more than half a mind on evaluation. Her red eyes noted the bare-feet with more than a twinge of smugness; she would not be the only person who possessed aching soles. She looked higher; a distant faction of her mind admiring the style of the skirt, but her mind was already catching sight of the hip-bag, rattling with promise. Chisalu's fingers trembled out of habit, but she moved on to gaze up further. A shameless treadmill gaze marching up the stranger's bosom, over clavicle and chin and mouth, before arrowing up to the eyes. Analyzing on the vanish and appearance of whites, the dilation of the pupils, as if she knew how to read them, when any person who knew Chisalu Ki Nuo was quite away she had not been stealing long enough to judge so well.

"You are very beautiful,” Chisalu whispered as she carefully plucked each rupee from the hand in front of her, with her nails tapping upon them, before her fingertips slipped them smoothly away. She took them like an untouchable caste took from an upper-caste, from the palm, ever so delicately; to make sure her own flesh never touched the goddess skin before her. "And very generous"

Chi put most of the stones away, but kept two out, rolling them between her hands, and staring at their depths like they might reveal a mystery. Chisalu dipped her head in submission, "Can I interest you in a dance, since you appreciate my efforts better than any others" More than a slight flick of her eyes at the tall man and perhaps a passing frown at the boy.

Not given to blind disposition, Chisalu had dully recalled the strange stares transposed between everyone here, and it set her blood on fire in a way no adrenaline-high thrill-seeking warrior could ever understand. Clammy fear, slithering through her veins and her blood set alight like alcohol, no, this fire was not relished like a freedom, but instead fled from, and twisted away from as desperately as possible. Excitement never makes a heart pound so, only fear and a good dose of exercise.

This was perhaps the main reason that the ill-honoured Sheikah girl did not try to pick-pocket the beautiful lady's pouch, but for whatever reason there could be, strayed harmlessly towards the tall male, and began to attempt searching his nearest clothing for...anything.

Her intelligence beget a knowledge not to pickpocket from the girl when surrounded by people, but did it stop her a’ cursed curiousity from trying to inspect the most menacing looking there? Her best subtle attempts to glean information from the other sheikah proved that, no, Chisalu would never be the best of thieves if she couldn't learn to control herself or her fascination for things she ought avoid.

Still, maybe a little honour had prevented her from robbing from the person who gave her money, and maybe a little (or a lot) of naive spite was directed at the person who did not even pay more than a second’s consideration of her – and only when he was about to step on her! Chisalu made to slip one of the rupee she was holding into his clothing as well, she still retained self-respect and she was no common thief. Thief she might be, but common she was not and Rupee were plentiful, but cheap revenge wasn't.

Ooc: Seems I should add a reckless curiousity to her personality-information. It does explain the stupid things she seems to be doing...oh, and please please don't murder her ;;

Kira smiled at the beautiful dancing girl. It reminded her of herself. It pained her deep into her sould that one so young had to work so hard to afford the universal right to live. She tightened the grip around her staff, then made it roll in her palm, with one end resting in the ground and the other rising high, showing proudly the shining saphire in the silver crescent moon.

She stood from her sitting spot not far from the dancer and her public; her full height was revealed, 6 feet exactly, an average height, at least for a female Zora, or so she would guess, as she had rarely met another one. She wore body tight robes that revealed the body of a young woman, probably between 18 and 22 years. Her clothes all were of the colors both water and earth; they lacked any kind of design, save for an odd eye shaped design in her waist band-it did not belong to the Sheikah tribe. She sported a confident look, a relaxed smile, and a calmed atmosphere. For those who could sense auras, hers would have been a bright blue. The way she moved showed very well that she was proud of being a woman, yet she wouldn't allow a single man to touch her without conscent.

As she approached the group she was able to see for a brief second the intentions of the little dancer. It saddened her to see that youngster walking the dark path of thievery, one that Kira herself was walking, but for the sake of the people. She quickly took a liking on the girl, as she reminded her of herself. She kneeled close to the girl and secretly offered three yellow rupees as she whispered to her ear like an older sibbling would
"They will eventually catch if you steal" she stood up, rested both hands and her chin at the top of her staff and leaned her waist to the left. She then looked in the general direction of the two oldest persons among the public. A flirtatious smile shines in her face, while she really is analyzing the selfish men. However, she realizes that both have a deep background and that they (like her) have gone further down beyond black and white.
"Lovely day, isn't it" she says, keeping her smile. On her neck a blue pendant shaped like a drop can be seen, it has an odd emblem that depict a hollow drop of water with vines with thorns at each side.

OOC: Welcome, Persona, your nickname sounds almost spanish, any relation to that?
BTW I'm Alex, do not be fooled by my female character, I'm a guy (now I know what HNS has to go through)

Chisalu betrayed a flinch which slipped through her small-frame, her spine curving with the reaction ever so slightly. Her fingers instantly left the tall man's clothing, dropping both the rupee in there. She gave an internal groan, she had only intended to leave one. She gave the new person a glance, and then stared back at the man's clothing, trying to appraise how one might retrieve a sin-

Chisalu spun round with as a glint of surprise in her eyes, her mouth gave a quirk before she closed it out of an innate good breeding and manners, or as good as they get for one in her financial circumstances. She was indeed surprised since the newest addition to the little group was a Zoran female.

In her short-span upon this land, and indeed any land, Chisalu had never laid eyes upon this race, not out of elusiveness on either Chisa or the Zoran part, but more out of a play of chance, and perhaps no drive for the Sheikah to go look for the water-fond race.

Chisalu accepted the rupee in quiet conspiracy, blinking in understanding, but offering a conspiratal whisper of, "Eventually gives me good odds" Still, Chisalu restrained her hands sensibly. Shocked out of her mischief, Chi was almost desperate to flee now, she had eight green rupees, three yellow ones, indeed, she might as well?

But her memory caused her to glance back down at the boy who had addressed her. Taking a moment to consider, she then began, charmingly smiling. "What are you doing here?"

ooc: None, or nearly so. It's the latin translation of another nickname of mine, so sorry, I'm tediously unilingual (studying latin doesn't count I suppose?)

Nice to meet you =D

'Eventually gives me good odds', Kira laughed to herself at the youngster's comment; the Zora used to think that way. Chance, such an unreliable aspect; a thief needed to calculate, to measure every movement and balance the risk and the reward.
'She's a rookie, but she has a lot of potential' she thought. A lot of potential she saw in the Sheikah, yet she saw nearly no future in her as a mere street performer. Despite that, she was delighted with the young artist/thief perfomance.

"Please, dance some more..." Kira then remembered she hadn't asked one of the most escential questions there were in a conversation.
"I think I haven't got your name, mirira*" she then offered her hand, as courtesy demanded "I am Kira"

*mirira is a word in the Zora language I made up that means "pretty person", so it is something along the lines of cutie XD

Chisalu smiled winningly at the internal laughter she had caused. Though chance was an unreliable friend, and a fickle one too, it was no more so than anyone else, and could at least be honest about its coy change of views. No die claimed it would always land on six, it was up-front about its lack of aims.

Chisalu dipped in an elaborate curtsey to this female. "My name is Chisalu ki Nuo" She pronounced, almost cattily smooth. Then she tilted her head. "What does Mirira mean?" She questioned suddenly, before dipping her head again. "What sort of dance would you like milady" Chisalu was putting effort into being charming, overly charming, like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, and the expression of a cat caught with its paw in the cream.

She beamed, well aware that the Zora knew her colours better than her acting indicated, and was now amusing herself with this mask she had constructed. On one hand, she was trying to be sweet, to the point of sacrancy, to the other hand she was a thief. The contrast of the realities was as surreal as a play, and she was indeed creating a play for the Zora, either a gesture of her thanks by amusing her, or a sweetly malevolent maze of reactions.
