"Okay, then, we'll kick off our plan at nightfall," Hyneria said, breathing in deeply.


A few hours later, the sky began to turn red, and Hyneria stood up, brushing off the seat of her pants. The woman sighed and said, “Okay, let’s go.”

The Sheikah led the group through the night time streets of Ruto, stopping once the Ikana Mansion was within sight. "Are you ready?" Marisa asked, keeping her eyes on the building.

"Ready as I'll ever be," the sister replied, melting into the shadows.

Marisa then led the group to the mansion. The guards at the door stopped the group, and one of them recognized her. "Marisa, it's been a long time since you stepped foot around here," he said. "Too bad I have received orders to make this your last."

The guards drew their swords, and the one that had spoke immediately attacked Marisa, but the skilled Sheikah easily dodged the attack, and she just as easily sent her sword slicing through the man's skin.

The second guard at the door decided to go after Douglas. He jabbed his sword towards the man with the falcon, but he missed by a fraction of an inch.

The final guard at the scene recognized Xokorn as a mage, and decided it best to take care of him. The Sheikah is still an easy mark, however, and the sword bites into Xokorn's skin.

The mid-faerie decided it best to attack. Natasha focused on the guard that had harmed Xokorn, figuring that the Sheikah mage would want retaliation. Anything to make it easier for him. She formed a ball of light and threw it at the human, who is unable to resist the attack.

In comparison to the last battle, Xokorn took the damage rather well; he could still move on efficiently. However, he was unsure as to if he could take another one in his current condition. As infuriated as the attack made him, he had to keep his cool. That is how many a warrior lose reckless battles, after all.

He was given two options: (1) attack the guard that had attacked him in revenge, or (2) heal himself. The third guard was exceedingly weak, but Xokorn was no fool. Another hit would most likely kill them both, so the whole thing was really a gambit...but he decided to take the risk and make a forceful swipe at the third guard with his staff.

Douglas felt somewhat unnerved by his dodging of the attack. He knew it wasn't going to be easy, but this seemed to be a bit much for just the entrance. Looking over at Xokorn, Douglas knew that the Sheikah man could handle that guard at the moment. With that in mind, and two other guards out, he clenched his fists, and went to fight one of the other guards. [[Unarmed Combat L1]]

Seven had leapt off his partner's shoulder before he had charged in, leaving him in the air, hovering above the scene. As Douglas ran to fight the first guard, the falcon set his sights on the second. Flying as high as he could, he shot down at the guard, ready to hit. [[Falcon Flyer]]

Xokorn still has no reliable skill in physical combat, as made apparent by his miss. Luckily for the mage, the human guard missed with his own attack, slightly thrown off balance from the lack of an object (in this case, Xokorn) to slow his momentum some.

Douglas's fist is just as easily dodged as the Sheikah mage's staff. Marisa, on the other hand, is still able to guide Neor'cer Gahc to the guard while his back is turned. The human spun back around, angry that this woman had once again sliced into his skin, but his wounds prevented him from harming the mercenary.

Seven's aerial attack easily finds the second guard, but his talons miss the human's eyes. The guard batted his arm towards the falcon, but the bird of prey is already out of the man's range.

Seeing that the guards are not faring well and that her own allies are unharmed for the most part, Natasha hung back, waiting to either attack or heal as needed.

OOC: We're fighting multiple waves of enemies? AWESOME!!!!!

IC: Xokorn grunted in irritation at his miss, but he was pretty happy that the guard's attack had missed as well. However, he still wasn't going to let the guard get away from his first successful attack.

He let the magic inside his body grow to full strength, causing his body temperature to rise considerably. His eyes started to glow red like fire, which was appropriate given the spell he was attempting to perform. He aimed his staff at the same guard and cried, "PYM!!!" A ball of flame burst out of the end of his staff like a bullet as it moved quickly toward the target. [L1 Fire]

Douglas glared at the guard, angry at himself since he had missed. Dammit! At least Seven hit his target...Well, try, try again! he thought, running up to the guard as he tried to deliver another punch, this time aimed at the human's gut. [[Unarmed Combat Lv1]]

Seven screeched, apparently pleased by both his hit, and his dodge. Turning around again, this time he decided to use a simple claw swipe, as he tried to blind the man. [[Claw]]

Xokorn's flames licked the human, burning a large majority of his body. Meanwhile, Douglas's attack once again missed, proving the guard's ability to dodge fists. It was almost a shame that he could not sense incoming swords. Or maybe it was only Marisa's race representing herself in her sword. Either way, the first guard shared the same fate as mage's foe.

Seven's talons do not only tear into the human's skin, but the human's eyeballs as well. As he screamed in pain, he swung his sword wildly in front of him, hoping to hit the falcon. Unfortunately for the bird, he still too close to the guard. Fortunately, it is only a surface scratch and Seven is able to fly.

Natasha still hung back, seeing that she is still not needed yet. More will come, though, she thought. It is never this easy. Three hundred years have taught me that.

OOC: Yes, MagmarFire, we are fighting more than one wave. After all, I have to make Xokorn come close to death.

Seriously, though, I do plan on three waves, including this one, and then a boss, but depending on how things go, I may add in an extra wave or two.

OOC: I think I’m starting to know how Richard feels whenever he gets the opportunity to kill a lot of people. It’s a pretty good feeling, too! XD

IC: The flames rammed into the guard without resistance. If they ever had growth spurts like living creatures, that would surely be an excellent example of such a phenomenon. “Good riddance, you nuisance,” said a satisfied Xokorn as he saw the guard die in a flash of fire.

Now it was time to focus his attention on the last guard. He figured it was best to save his magic power in case the group should run into any more trouble. As much as it made him feel dismayed, he decided to go for another swift strike with his staff. But after all, even if he should miss, his allies would be sure to finish the job swiftly and easily.

Douglas grunted. He missed, again! He was losing his touch. Then again, not being able to use his Fire Punch also added to the problem, the fire punch being his best move. But, seeing his falcon ally blind his opponent helped restore his content attitude, but as Seven was hit, he was filled with rage, running to hit the same guard with his fists, even if it wouldn't hit again.

Seven flinched while flying, but only for a second, losing a minimum of altitude. Not wanting to risk another hit, he flew over to Natasha and landed on her shoulder, since his partner was in battle.

The remaining guard staggered about, wildly brandishing his sword, hoping to hit someone, but everyone is able to avoid him in his blindness.

Even with the guard being blind, Xokorn is still unable to hit him. Whether it was just luck that made the human get out of the way in time or Xokorn's poor fighting skills could be debatable. The same certainly applied to Douglas as well, but his fist seemed to have been closer to his desired target.

Marisa took care to stay out of the blind human's way. She lashed out with her sword, but his staggering took him out of harm's way.

Apparently, in the Ikana Mansion, guards were placed in groups of three. Natasha saw another set of men coming towards them from the house. She hurried to the other side of the battlefield, but one of the guards was able to catch up to her and opened a small wound in her arm. She turned at threw a ball of light at her attacker, who was unable to resist the mid-faerie's magic. Another guard tried to make her taste steel, but she was able to move out of the way this time, even with Seven on her shoulder. The third guard targeted Douglas, but the human missed the other.

For some reason, Xokorn was not surprised by the miss. He just simply was not made for melee combat...for now, anyway. His attacks were merely too slow; he needed more speed, more agility, among other things. Luckily, he still had a bit of usable magic power left in him, and that would be his best bet at hitting an enemy entirely.

Routinely, he charged up the magic inside him, and his eyes once again started to shine with a crimson hue. The heat inside his cloak also rose to considerable temperatures. It would easily disable a normal man, but he himself had no trouble resisting it. Once again crying in Sheikian, "PYM!!!" he unleashed another ball of flame at the fourth guard.

OOC: Hi no Seijin, do you let us use willpower for battles like these?

Douglas let his head slump, his eye twitching as he missed for the third time. After a moment of silence, he yelled up at the night sky, "WHY CAN'T I HIT JUST A SINGLE ONE OF THEM!?" He let his head slump again, before looking back up. His eyes on the blinded guard, he tried again to hit, but this time, tried to fight with confidence. [[Unarmed Combat LV1]]

Seven left his perch on Natasha's shoulder, bowing his head in a way of saying that it was his fault she got hurt. With that, he looked at the closest guard, and shot at him. [[Falcon Flyer]] Guard #4

Either Douglas's rage prevented him from striking his target, or the blinded human is still lucky. Sensing the attack, the guard lashed at the nomad. However, instead of hitting Douglas, he struck the fifth guard to have come to the scene.

Seven reached the fourth guard first, but the human is able to leap out of the way of the falcon's path. Only to get hit by Xokorn's fire attack. The guard dropped to the ground covered in burns like his fellow human.

Seeing how the blinded guard had unintentionally attacked his partner, Marisa decided to leave him be. Instead, she weaved throughout the battle to reach that guard that had been struck by his ally. Once there, she formed a flawless vertical arc, slicing into the man's left arm. His attempt to retaliate was fruitless, for the Sheikah woman had flipped out of the way.

The sixth guard saw the mage's spell and thought it best to get rid of him. His horizontal strike comes up short, however, and the Sheikah is spared from more pain...for now.

With the battle still an even match, Natasha once again held back.

IC: Xokorn once again landed a magical hit quickly and easily. That made it the second kill for him that night, but unfortunately, it would probably be his last; he could no longer call for the aid of magic unless it was from someone else.

Despite having virtually no magic power left inside him, he went on the offensive once again, charging toward the blinded soldier. He raised his staff and swung, aiming for the soldier's already-maimed head.

Douglas let his head slump, mumbling under his breath before looking back up. ". . .nine, ten. There, done." he said, as he looked at the blinded guard. "Try, try again." he said, before charging into another, possibly unsuccesful, attack. Most of his punches never hit, but at least one would. Hopefully.

Seven screeched, now feeling the same annoyance as his partner, though at least most of his hit. With an aerial turn, he darted towards the same guard, his wings vutting through the sky. [[Falcon Flyer]] Guard #4
