Having Rose's query, Xokorn turned to the Great Fairy himself and asked, "Not in the desert, surely? That place is SWARMING with monsters! We'd be incapacitated before we reached the first landmark."

Xokorn chuckled at the mercenary's spirit. "What confidence you have. How much it may seem, it is not enough. The lonely aphid cannot face an army of fierce ants. Put yourself in the aphid's place and you'll see that it would be a folly attempt. Stealth, on the other hand, would give us a better chance."

but what if that aphid was intelegent and could wield fire? who would win?

Xokorn pondered a second before retorting. "Depends on if the spell can disintegrate the entire army before the ants would surround the aphid and destroy it. Same with the monsters in the desert; we'll be overtaken before we get rid of them all. From their point of view, we're nothing but aphids cowering before an ant's powerful jaws and strong desire for moondew." After saying this, he averted the gaze of everybody in the vicinity. He had spoken too much.

hehehe, i'll take you there sometime, child, and you will see what this aphid can do.

Facing away from everyone else, Xokorn muttered, "I await that day with anticipation, Master mercenary." Noticing that the piercing gaze from everyone's awareness of his speech was waned, he turned once again to face the others, hoping that one would soon change the subject of what would await in the desert--assuming that that was their destination.

Rose rolls her eyes. Men, she thinks. Out loud, she says, "Give the Great Faerie a chance to speak."

The Fairy looked down at all the adventurers willing to help her.

Oh thank you all so much! We also have another person with us, a man who is currently out looking for the temple. I believe his name is Cloud.

The fairy pulled out a note from her blouse that was written by Cloud.

Dear Great Fairy,
I have almost found the temple. We will definitly need a group of adventurers to help. The dungeon is infested with monsters the like of which I have never seen.

Some of these monsters may be extremely dangerous. Will you all still go?
