Lilly rejoined Taint on the ground as the Zora cleaned his sword of the filth that filled the fallen creature. He put his sword back in its sheath, and smiled. The fight was over, and it was Taint himself was partially to blame for it. He'd helped, and that's really all he wanted. Lilly landed on his shoulder and relaxed now that the tension in the room was gone. It's not that Taint was a nomad of few words, he just didn't have a whole lot to contribute to the group right now; Not with words anyhow. He let out a deep breath, and began humming a mildly catchy tune as he was well prepared to follow the group wherever they went.

"That's a nice tune, Taint. Do you play any instruments?" Lilly quizzed quietly. "Hm? Oh, that's a song I wrote a long time ago. My parents were pretty stuffy people, so they forced me to take violin lessons. I don't care so much for the sound it makes though... I much prefer an accordion." Lilly seemed confused and wondrous as she sat there. "What's that?" The Zora patted her gently on the head, and whispered to her, "I'll show you sometime later, okay?" Lilly nodded, and pointed a tiny glowing finger at him. "That's a promise mister." The two were surprisingly casual having just finished a battle. This is normal for the type of life that people like Taint led.

Well, now we're in a pickle. Leth thought as he surveyed the area around him quizzically. That annoying bokoblin was dead, and that was good... but now it seemed as if they had hit a wall. A key failed to present itself, so they still couldn't get through the door in the previous room... and that glass looked pretty solid. "Well, I'm stumped." Leth said to anyone who was listening. "Anybody got any ideas?" As he asked that, he probed his brain for hints or answers, trying to figure out a way to proceed further into the caverns... Insight check

OOC: Rosen...I had trouble with it too, but I think...I think the bars are sticking up around the edges of the pit so we can't get over it, and there's a sheet of glass above them...I think...

IC: Pleased at his experimental attempt at the chef's art, the mercenary opened up his bottle and dipped it in the liquid, grimacing when it touched his hand. Stuffing it in his bag, he turned around to face the group and watched his allies wander around the room. There didn't seem to be a door; at least, not one that was out in the open. Perhaps it was behind something? His eyes scanned the walls, looking for anything that could be hiding a door of some sort.

OOC: I believe that's the general idea. I really should be more clear with my description. Also, sorry for being slow to reply to this. I was sick and in no condition to be writing anything for the public eye.

IC: Rosen's heavy hand reaches through the bars and knocks on the glass. Though the Madderpillers lack the ability to look upwards due to their body structure, they are enraged by the vibration-y sound and start charging about madly. The Goron succeeds at analyzing the odd cage (Rolled a 20) and sees that the sheet of glass above him was not the only one; as he looked harder, he could see another, seperate sheet below the Madderpillers, with a rocky floor beneath it--another room, perhaps? Furthermore, both sheets of glass seemed to have many tiny, tiny holes in them, most likely to allow the creatures breath. Alas, despite all these useful bits of knowledge, the glass just seems impenetrable, especially with those pesky bars in the way. Only a fairy could get through, in fact.

Leth's Insight Check fails (Rolled a 3) and all he managed to come up with was a brilliant plan for attaching string to the ends of his arrows, so as to never run out. However, that was completely useless in this situation. Sabertache, on the other hand, noticed something. The table up against the wall was placed in front of an opening, probably due to the bokoblins trying to block others from taking some of the stew. The opening was a staircase, leading downwards. Nearly everyone would still be able to squeeze in under the table, Eberron and Rosen being the exception. But really, they could move the table without breaking a sweat, so it was a moot point.

"Alright, I know this may sound silly." He said, facing the crowd of warriors littering the room. "But do any of you know a fairy spell?" Eyes became wide and bewildered or so he imagined so he continued on.

"You see. This glass here." Hands grappling past the tapered slits between bars or more so just the tips of Rosen's fingers as he pointed downwards. "There's just enough room for a fairy...or at least I think for a fairy."

"I hear fairies still eat so I'd be hoping a fit looking one would be best." Rosen shook his head, digressing from the eating habits of fairies and focusing back on the task at hand. "I can't imagine all of us have it but, if anything, some reconnaissance work would be admirable...don't you agree?"

"Well, looks like somebody was being a little selfish." The mercenary mumbled to himself, trotting over to the table and peeking beneath it.

"There're some stairs over here, behind this table, guys. I can get through, but we might need Rosen to move it before all of us can."

He glanced over his shoulder; the Goron in question was trying to find a volunteer to become a small ball of light and venture into the lion's den; heh, even if Saber had the spell, he wouldn't dare go in there as a fairy. Those Madderpiller would rip him apart. Unless, of course, he changed back to his normal form...ah well. He didn't have the spell, that was that.

However...

"We do have a fairy right over there, don't we, Taint?" He could've sworn he saw the little ball of light flicking about. "I suppose she could try to get in there, but I don't know what good it would do. I'm just going to go downstairs." And so he did just that, squirming beneath the table and passing through the doorway on his stomach. Rising, he dusted off his tunic and drew his blade, stepping down the staircase slowly.

Rosen followed the backside of the mercenary as he disappeared beneath the shadows of the table and staircase that spiraled into the abyss of shadows and cavernous walls. Following him, he quickly brushed the table aside, burying his hands beneath its bosom as he tossed it a few feet past the entryway.

"I suppose it'd just waste time then." He muttered, leaving the idea of any fairies in his wake to accompany the other warriors behind him and the mercenary as he too delved into the dark and cramped staircase that hugged and scratched his sides.

How much further he wondered, till some semblance of a reward befell their journey into the labyrinth. Should they find nothing beneath the veil of a horrid and bloody perfume, Rosen would feel the utmost amount of disappointment for having left his resting spot behind him for adventure.

OOC: Hooray! New level for me!...but again...I want another...WHEN DOES IT END, RG!? WHEN!?

*facepalm* Now why didn't i think of that before? :D

IC: Why I believe i have come up with a brilliant plan for attaching string to the ends of my arrows, so as to never run out! Leth thought to himself, not quite sure where that had come from when he was trying to think of a way out of the room. Ah well. Random thoughts weren't a bad thing; in fact, it wasn't a half bad idea. He thought about it in detail; it was a good idea... but he didn't have any string on him. It would have to wait. Besides, attaching a string was bound to flub the accuracy of the shot. It would take some careful and painstaking work to place the strings perfectly on the arrow, so it wouldn't affect his shot. Maybe if he -
"There're some stairs over here, behind this table, guys. I can get through, but we might need Rosen to move it before all of us can."
Ah yes. Back to the problem at hand.
So there was a way out after all! That was good... Leth watched in anticipation as the Goron cast the table aside, revealing a stair case leading downwards. Those greedy Bokoblins... well nothing much to do but mush onward... Leth sighed and took a few steps forward, following Rosen down the staircase.

OOC: Finally, a decent post!
Yeah, I'm really sorry about the quality of my posts lately... I'll try harder, I promise! :D

After a short flight down the stairs, the adventurers find themselves in a room beneath the one they were previously occupying. Above were the Madderpillers, storming about in their prison. On the other side of the room was a fairly nondescript door, and four torches inhabited the room, one of them lit.

Aria eyed the Madderpillars as she descended the stairs; they seemed to be no threat. Nor did the door or the torches, but she had a sinking feeling that tampering with either or both would make the oversized bugs a threat. Still, more light would be nice. "Does anyone have a stick?" the Gerudo inquired.

After asking this, the ranger strode over to the door and began inspecting it. Aria didn't very much feel like setting off any traps. [Awareness Check]

"I'll take care of it."

His eyes still adjusting to the change in lighting, Sabertache sighed. The soles of his feet were getting a bit sore, and he didn't blame them; they were probably as tired of the monotonous cavern setting as the rest of his body was. Blessed would be the day when they finally cleared the caves for good and left this wretched place behind.

His magic was pointless in these fights anyways; besides, perhaps the broth would be magically beneficial as well. Who knew. Lifting his palm, he walked up to one of the unlit torches and let out a gentle burst of fire, hoping to catch the oil and create a bit more ambience. [Fire]

Leth descended into a rather simple looking room, with only one way out; an also-simple-looking door. Leth eyed the four torches.Legends often told of the adventures of the great hero, Link, and how lighting torches often gleaned useful items or information or sometimes even opened previously blocked paths. There was no harm in trying that now. Leth nodded in satisfaction when Saber began summoning the fire spell, so the Ranger nocked a nicely burning fire arrow to the string of his bow and aimed it at another one of the unlit torches. After a moment more of aim - no need to rush things, they were in no danger yet- and released the arrow. If all went well between him and Saber, that would leave one unlit torch.

Taint simply followed the group like a trained chimpanzee; you know, one with a sword. He stumbled along the caverns cringing at the thought of beasts most foul that could be lurking in any inhabitable corner of this place. He felt uneasy in these caverns, as if he were unwelcome. He kept his hand ready to draw his weapon at any given moment, and watched as a new question arose.

They were in a new room which was relatively boring. Nothing of immediate interest. One torch was lit, and it would seem Sabertache was taking care of the other one. Taint kicked at the ground ridding his boots of any dirt that had collected on the soles. "So what do we do guys? I'm done making quick decisions."

OOC: Sorry that I ignored this topic for so long.

IC: Simon frowned. Why was he always so ineffectual, always getting caught up in logic and analyzing situations too much. Then again, having an analytical mind was good. When it produced results that it. Simon didn't find anything of interest after the death of the Bokoblin, not even by his own blow. He shook his head, as though defeated. Then, he payed attention to Rosen discussing the pit, and the discovery of the stairs.

Simon agreed that it would be best to go down the stairs, but first, he didn't want to waste the stew. Having not earlier noticed the nomad's antics in his horrid "cooking" skills, he wasn't put off by the idea of the stew at all. He didn't even know it had been tainted with. All he knew was that it smelled somewhat acceptable since when he entered. Perhaps letting it shimmer let it cook better. He bottled some of the broth (that is, assuming there was more than one serving to begin with, if not, than disregard that last paragraph), and continued down the stairs with the others.

He took notice of the Madderpillers above and the one lit torch before Saber attempted to light another. He wanted to tell the nomad to stop, but the spell was already in action. They should have investigated the room first. The door didn't appear to be locked, perhaps they could just pass by the room entirely. Simon attempted an awareness check, to try to figure out if the brazers served a purpose and if, indeed, the door was locked and/or barred [Awareness Check].

Darilan looked up at the Madderpillers in their cage. Then he saw Saber attempting to light the torch. "Stop! It might be a trap," he shouted out. He imagined there was some sort of switch in this room that was meant to unleash the huge insects on unsuspecting intruders below. "We should do something about those Madderpillers before they get out of there somehow and kill us."

Then the holes in the glass came to his mind. "Those holes are there so they can breathe," he pointed out, knowing that most of the adventurers realized this. They are trapped in there for now, so perhaps we can suffocate them. Let us gather some material and start a fire beneath their cage, preferably a very smokey one." He looked around the room for anything that they could burn, besides the torches. [Awareness Check]
