Icerova and Firerova watched in awe as Segnin reacted to everything. The awe was mostly formed because they had never seen anyone stop an Elemental Burst like that before. They shook off their awe once they saw the electricity rushing towards them. "Ah, damn it," they said at the same time, throwing themselves down to the ground in an attempt to dodge the attack. But some of the lightning still grazed them, and both wince in pain.

They rolled towards each other. "Any ideas?" Firerova whispered in Gerudic.

"Not really," Icerova responded. "He easily stopped all of my attacks."

"Maybe if we get him wet..."

"No. He seems to be channeling the electricity through his body. Getting him wet probably won't make a difference."

"Key word being probably. We don't know if he ever had to channel this electricity while wet, so his body may not be used to it. If you can get a wall of ice around him quickly at the same time I get a wall of fire around him, my fire will melt your ice, and he'll get soaked from the downpour. It may work. It may not work. But we won't know until we try."

Icerova smirked. "Finally, you show a hint of wisdom. Get ready to cast on the count of three. One." Both of the Gerudos stood up. "Two. Three."

Icerova made a circular motion with her hand and thrust it upward. At the same time, a wall of ice surrounded the Hakiem. Then her sister made the same gesture, and a wall of fire formed right where the wall of ice appeared. The flames immediately melted the ice, sending a cascade of water down to the ground, but whether Segnin was still inside at the time, they could not tell.

Drommlin touches the ground, spear held up. He is grinning from ear to ear. He allows himself a congratulating thought, but then leaps back up into the air again towards where Segnin landed... and was drenched with water. Jumping quickly back, he looked around and quickly figured out what had happened. Be aware of your surroundings, Drom. You have to be constantly aware. He told himself. he meandered over to Fireova, hoping that her heat might dry him off quickly. If he's waterlogged, he would move much more slowly.

Little does Drommlin know, Firerova doesn't radiate the heat she gets from her sister. It is stored within her body, and only the smallest measured fraction of an inch of the air around her is hot enough to evaporate water near instantly. If Drom wanted to be dried off, he would have to hug her. And if the human is wise, then he will take the Gerudo's glare as a warning to stay away from her; she is not one for hugs from strangers. Drommlin will have to find another way to dry off or remain soaked.

Drommlin sees the warning look, and his shoulders sloop as he moves away. Darn it. He thinks. okay, so now what? he thinks to himself. Then he remembers the large scorching crater. Scuttling over to the gaping hole in the ground, he warms his backside pleasantly. :D

OOC: Leth . . . all I can really say is  :D

IC:
As Drommlin scurries this way and that in a struggle to find some way to dry himself off, finally making his way over to the still smoking crater where Segnin's lightning form had struck, the gaseous mist unleashed by the rapid heating of Icerova's frigid wall finally lifts away, revealing Segnin, absolutely soaked to the bone. Lifting up a soggy sleeve of his Hakiem robe, the Sheikah grimaces while his body begins to shiver. "Aw man, I hate getting wet . . . it's so cold . . ." For one who can transform his very self into a burst of burning hot electricity, a natural preference for Firerova's preferred element is probably to be expected.

Glancing around, he managed to take in the entire battlefield before having to worry about his next maneuver. The two generals, Richarn Noval and Kamas Lion, were preparing themselves on the other side of the garden's river. Those two Gerudo that he'd not heard about before were standing on the remnants of the bridge he'd destroyed, and were undoubtedly the source of whatever it was that had drenched him just a few moments ago. The spear kid was attempting to dry off using the crater he'd created on this side of the river. No doubt the heat radiating from it would help a little, but it probably couldn't dry Drommlin off completely.

He blinks all of a sudden. 'Wait, weren't there two more?' Yes, of course, how could he have forgotten about those two?! After all, one of them was the Golden Gerudo herself, and the other had been a captive in the Hakiems' own base for several weeks. He twisted all around, struggling to figure out where they'd gone, when all of a sudden the struggling flutter of wings caught his ears.

Even as his eyes turned upwards he knew he'd be too late. And indeed, directly above the Sheikah, barreling downward from the air where Calla still flaps her wings, comes Koura. His hands fly up. "Rohtric Esarck!" Electricity sparks at his fingertips . . . and goes nowhere. The water that covers him and the ground around him absorbs every stray spark, and though he's more than used to having electricity coursing through him, so it doesn't hurt him at all, his favorite mode of attack has suddenly been rendered useless. At the one moment when he can't afford to not have it.

Twin Gerudo Scimitars drawn and ready, the Golden Gerudo crashes into Segnin full force before he can attempt to flee or develop another strategy, hurling him to the ground with back-breaking force. The Hakiem's eyes grow wide as he rams the earthen floor of the garden, a gasp of pain escaping his lips - he's just felt several ribs and his right leg break under the force of the attack, and feels blood pooling up beneath his body from the wounds where her scimitars had pierced his skin. Oh, and he's pretty sure that his spine just cracked in several locations too.

Quickly leaping backwards, Koura takes up a defensive stance to prepare against any counter offensive Segnin might try, but none comes. The Hakiem's breathing has gone from balanced to a state of pain as reality closes in on him - he can't afford to try and stand up. If he does, his spine won't just be cracked - it will probably shatter, and then there will be no escape for him at all. Though at the moment, it is doubtful that escape will come either way; all he can do is lie there on the ground and try to come up with some sort of plan.

Calla falls to the ground seconds later, landing directly in Koura's waiting arms, exhaustion evident on her face and heavy breathing. The Golden Gerudo lifts an eyebrow. "What's your problem? You were able to carry Yukie no problem back in the desert!"

The Rito girl lazily opens her eyes and turns to face Koura. "Well . . . yeah, but he's a . . . a Deku . . . they're light . . ."

Koura gives her an overly-exaggerated look of shock. "Are you saying I'm heavy?! Are you saying . . . I'm FAT!?!"

The humored grin and mirthful laughs coming in between her pants are all the answer Calla gives.

The Gerudo twins stared in shock as their wall of water fell. Firerova's plan had actually worked. To a point, at least. His own electricity didn't kill him, but at least the Hakiem could no longer use it. "I'll be damned, something of yours actually worked," Icerova muttered.

Her sister frowned. "Shut up," she muttered. "Come on. We better..." Koura fell from the sky, sending Segnin to the ground. "Let our Gerudo sister finish the job," she finished rather weakly. She had forgotten about her fellow Gerudo and the Rito.

The Veilmists walked over the defeated Hakiem. They ignore the Golden Gerudo's joke. Instead, Firerova bent down and said, "I believe you have a key we need. Where is it? I'll get it for you and save you some pain."

Meanwhile, Icerova walked over to the two generals. "You seemed hesitant to attack when your life was in danger," the blue-haired Gerudo said to General Lion. "If you don't mind my asking, why?"

Segnin turns his head slowly around to face that fire-wielding Gerudo woman, an annoyed look coming over his features. Twice now has he been humiliatingly defeated. Sure, the first time had been the result of his shock at that Deku Grenada's unreserved foolhardiness, which that Sheikah woman Shada had capitalized on by use of a sneak attack. This time, though, he'd been in the middle of the fight and had fallen almost immediately. Unacceptable, to say the least. Master Dessil will have some nasty words to say to him after this failure unless he can figure out some way to get out of this.

Too bad nothing's coming to mind at the moment . . . but still, he retains his defiant silence towards the Gerudo.

General Lion glances over to Icerova as she approaches him, asking her insightful question with a touch of kindness mixed into her tone. The Zora returns his gaze to the direction of the fallen Hakiem, taking a few long moments before replying. "I do not kill. All fighting leads to death."

Icerova nodded to the Zora's reply. "I can see your point," the Gerudo replied. "However, fighting doesn't always lead to death. My sister and I fight constantly, and we haven't killed each other. Mostly because of unconditional love, but the fact that we need each other alive for our magic to work helps." She grinned.

"You always start it," Firerova replied with a smirk as she walked over to them. "Anyway, do you think it's safe to search his body for a key?" She jerked her thumb over to Segnin's body, her smirk going away. "I'd look myself, but I think he might have a trick up his sleeve."

"You show yet more wisdom. You should keep it up." The Gerudo's grin widened.

"See what I mean? She always starts it," Firerova replied, once again smirking.

After Drommlin was dried off, he hurried over to where Segnin lay, and pouted. "Dangit." He said. "It's over already..." And he strolls over to his favorite general, Noval... :D "So now what?" He asks.

Segnin barks a laugh at Drom's little display of disappointment, only to wince and force himself to stop the chuckling as his cracked ribs begin to dig into vital organs. The last thing he needs is to puncture something and get himself killed in some way that does not include an honorable fight . . .

Although Kamas chooses to remain silent after the Veilmist sisters' dialogue, Noval steps forward, choosing answer both Firerova and Drom's questions simultaneously. "We need that key above all else, so we'd better get it first," he replies as he casually hops across the scattered pieces of the destroyed bridge and over to the side where Segnin lies in a heap. "The key. Where is it?" The defiant stare is the only answer given to the general.

With a roll of his eyes, Noval kneels by the lightning mage and stares intently into his eyes. "I'd say this won't hurt a bit, but you never know," he says casually as his eyes narrow into slits. Segnin suddenly lets out a gasp and raises a hand up to clutch his forehead - a move which brings with it even more gasps of pain. Within moments, however, the Hakiem's entire body relaxes as Segnin's eyes suddenly stare off into space, focusing on nothing.

"He's unconscious now," Noval says as he moves his hands around the Hakiem's chest region, searching intently for the key. A slight jingle catches his attention, and he reaches beneath the robe, feeling around for a second before his fingers close around a cold metallic item. With a quick heave he rips the strap the key had been hanging from for the entirety of the battle, holding it up for all to see.

"What'd you do to him?" Koura asks as she approaches, Calla still resting in her arms.

Looking back down at Segnin as he stands, he shrugs. "Telepathic abilities can be quite useful," he says quietly. "You can overload a person's mental capacities, forcing them to black out without causing any physical harm.

"Let's just leave him here," he adds, louder this time so that anyone that hasn't already crossed back over to this side of the river can hear. "The student of one of the Hakiems' generals could undoubtedly provide us with invaluable information about those assassins . . . not the least of which would be the location of their base. Even if Segnin does manage to wake up before we're finished inside, those injuries of his will make it impossible for him to get away, unless he wants to die in the process.

"Until then," the general says as he whirls back towards the way they'd come from originally, "we have to save the Royal Family." Charging back towards the inside of the castle, he only looks back once, eyes falling on the Hakiem one more time. 'Perhaps . . .' he thinks with a heavy yet relieved sigh, '. . . perhaps we can finally bring the fight to them for a change.'

The Veilmist twins winced as they watched Noval knock out Segnin. "Remind me not to get on his bad side," Firerova muttered in Gerudic.

"Remind yourself," Icerova muttered as she followed the general. "You're a big girl; you can take care of yourself." In Common and loud enough for Noval to hear, she asked, "Where are the Royal Family being held? And I don't believe you said anything about them before?"

"And are you sure it's safe to leave him here?" Firerova asked, worry in her tone. "What if his general or fellow assassin find him?"

Drommlin walks along with the group, humming contentedly. What's that he's humming? It sounds like the Zelda theme song.... He is thinking to himself, this is sweet! I'm gonna actually get to fight for the royal family! Geh heh heh... maybe get on the King's good side... who knows what might happen? He was grinning from ear to ear thinking about the possibilities.

OOC: Uh, Leth? . . . the Zelda theme song . . . in IC? :?

IC:
"Well, if you'll recall," Noval calmly replies to Icerova's questions, "I was in the middle of explaining the situation when we were attacked by Segnin. The Royal Family has been seized by the the Hakiems Tribe, and we believe they're being held in the Throne Room. The only entrance there has been securely locked and we require two keys to open it - this one, and a second which the majority of our group decided to go after up in the Triforce Tower.

"As for Segnin . . ." The general shakes his head. "The injuries he got from Koura's strike was quite extensive. I imagine that if someone was to attempt to move him, he'd die almost immediately." Noval pauses for a moment, then cocks his head to the side. "I suppose we could use something to ensure that no one tries to move him, though. With the other Hakiems inside I don't believe we should leave anyone behind to watch him, but if Icerova was to use those ice powers of hers to bind him to the ground it might help deter any passersby from trying to 'help' him."

General Lion walks after Noval, but stops to take a long look at the electrical master first. His mind thinks back to the sole look he had managed to get in the Hakiem's eyes. Had he really been holding back, restraining himself for some reason? It had certainly appeared to be reluctance to the Zora's trained eyes, but . . . he couldn't be sure.

Turning to follow the rest of the group inside, Kamas resolves to make sure he asks to be put in charge of the Sheikah's interrogation.

OOC: Yeah, about mentioning the Zelda theme song IC. IC, I would call it a walking tune, but I would mention OOC that it's the Zelda theme so people would know what you're talking about.

IC:
The Veilmists listen to General Noval. "Kidnapping is never good," Firerova said, rather unnecessarily.

"I can certainly bind him," Icerova replied to Noval, ignoring her sister. She formed a fist with her left hand, but the pinky and index finger is still out, slightly bent. She waves it horizontally, and rings of ice begin to form around the Hakiem, penetrating into the ground. "And just in case," she muttered, reforming her left fist to stick only the thumb out, she waved it horizontally again. "I partly froze his body to slow his heartbeat. He shouldn't die, but he also shouldn't be regaining consciousness anytime soon."

"So, do we meet the other group at the throne room, or are we going to catch up with them and help them if they need it?" Firerova asked.

OOC:  Wow, it's just a joke, guys. If you've seen The Incredibles, there is one part where Bob is walking into the house, and eats a piece of cake. If you listen closely, he is humming The Incredibles theme song. Just a little easter egg to those that are paying attention. I thought it was funny...

IC: Drommlin watches Icerova with fascination. "You gotta teach me how you do that." He says. "Elemental Control would be awesome. All I can do is make a few Dopplegangers, and even that's difficult for me." He says dejectedly. "Everyone says that I've done stuff like that before, though. Like, controlling the elements. But I don't ever remember it. I think I would remember creating fireballs." He says.
