OOC: Nogare, this is RP fighting. Stats are completely irrelevant until I give you all a stat fight. Note to the rest, as long as it's RP you don't need to tell me if you're using an ability; just go ahead and do it (heck, even if you don't have Jump, feel free to leap up an entire floor if you want)!
IC:
Karsis stops in his tracks as Nogare's words reach him. "Ganon?" he calls back quizzically as he turns to look over the stairs again. "Who said anything about that pig? We don't answer to Gan - " His words come to a close as Karuna's boulder attack comes flying up to meet him, followed shortly thereafter by the figures of both Sovelis and Nogare. "Aw crud," he mutters to himself as he backflips away from the open area in what now serves as the floor as the boulders are hurled upwards.
His sword flashes through the air as he quickly slices through any chunk of the staircase that's big enough to cause him harm and is moving in his direction. As he does so, he starts slowly backing up and away from the hole . . . and none to quickly, for Nogare and Sovelis arrive atop the steps shortly thereafter. Once the boulder attack ceases, the Sheikah's body suddenly vanishes from sight - Shadowmeld, no doubt.
From down below, Shada and Horren wait until behind Fang's dark shields as the same mage's watery attack hurtles past them. When it finally finishes, Shada leaps up to join Nogare and Sovelis, landing right beside the two with Sheikah grace. The Colonel, on the other hand, slumps his shoulders - he doesn't normally practice his jumping, so he'll probably have to end up taking the long route. With a sigh, he starts dashing up the stairs to do just that.

"It seems the Colonel is out of shape." Sovelis said. "And the enemy got away. Where do we go to now Shada?" Sovelis asked the Sheikah next to him. Sovelis checked the area around them. "There are WAY to many shadows in here - we'll need some light to help us find our foe. FIRE!" Sovelis lit up the end of his staff with the spell, managing to keep it a few inches from the tip, so it wouldn't burn his staff.

Rose had fallen to the back of the group when Sovelis had appeared. She wasn't too impressed by the thievery. She stayed at the rear of the group until they got to the stairs, where the Hakiem had attacked. As she drew her sword, her companions all made their attacks. She would've lept forward had it not been for Karuna's attack. Once it was over, Karsis had disappeared, and everyone but her and Colonel Veldam was a floor behind.
"Come on, Colonel. Time to catch up," she said as she sprouted dragon wings. She grabbed Horren underneath the arms as she flew by him as he dashed up (OOC: Yes, I did clear this with Alpha). She flew past the group, putting down Horren and landing herself when there was about ten feet between her and everyone else. If the Hakiem did reappear, it probably wouldn't be in the middle of the group, but it wouldn't hurt to still consider the possibility.

Nogare only snorted a laugh through his nose, and did not answer to Karsis. I was referring to Sovelis bringing the key to the underworld, Ganon's home. He sighed with vague ignorance.
He grabbed the ledge, and pulled himself to the staircase. He looked up to where the staircase above him would have continued if it had not been blown apart. Heh! He used shadowmeld in order to hide himself as he would continue up the stairway and make us slow down hopeless of finding him. He leaped up, and he was lucky the just grab onto the ledge with eight of his fingers (those being not his thumbs); it was about 18 feet above where he had jumped from, just enough to grab onto the ledge (being that he could jump about 15 feet).
He had thrown his sword there previously. He had the stairs now at his palms, and he skillfully swung his feet over the ledge, and rolled away from the ledge, obtaining his gilded blade in the process.
"Come! Do not wait!" he cried to his companions. He looked around. He needed to find something that could kill the enemy even if he was invisible.

Sovelis leaped after Nogare. "I have an idea, But its a risky move." Sovelis said. "If I cast an Elemental Explosion, and if it turns out to be light-based, Then It'll not only get rid of the shadows, But it will also hit our enemy, and any enemies near us. Should I do it?" Sovelis asked the Son of Greyblade as he walked ahead a little bit, and he pulled out a Lanturn. Lighting it, Sovelis held it above his head to see into the shadows around him. [Awarness Check]

OOC: Yeah, sorry about the long wait you guys. If you've been reading Castle Pursuit (which I suggest you all do; after all, it's as big a part of my story as this one) then you'll have seen that last week was finals week for me. And yes, I will require all break to recover from them. Also, most of my free time was spent in a vain effort to finally finish up a certain project of mine . . . well, hopefully I'll complete it this week.
IC:
Horren lets out a gasp as Rose comes in seemingly from nowhere and grabs him, lifting him off his feet and carrying him up to the next floor. Turning his head around, he manages to catch sight of two dragonic wings having sprouted from her back, and it is miraculously that he manages to hold back on the shocked cry that threatens to escape his lips. But once his feet touch the hard stone once more, his curiosity gets the better of him. "What the heck are you?!" he asks the woman, whom he'd believed to be just a normal Human.
Nogare and Sovelis both perform Awareness Checks, but only Sovelis' succeeds (Nogare: 1+4[Roll+INT], Sovelis: 17+3[Roll+INT]). As the flaming lantern in his hands sweeps over the area, the hint of a sparkle catches the Human Mage's eyes further up the stairwell. It vanishes after only a single moment, but this is still enough to catch his attention - perhaps some piece of metal, like a drawn sword, had reflected the light. Needless to say, this should certainly be investigated.

Rose stared at Horren blankly, wondering what he meant by what she was. Surely he could see that she was a human. A human who still had dragon wings coming out of her back. "Oh! Sorry about that," she said. "I'm a shape shifter. If I can see it in my mind's eye, I can turn into it. It's a helpful skill. I wish I had back when I was in the Tarm Army."

Sovelis slowly walked towards what he had seen, lantern over his head as he made a spell ready in his mind. "Nogare...come here, I see something..." he said as he inched slowly towards the gleem, ready to block with his staff if he needed to.

Nogare was took too long to concentrate from his dizziness (OOC: Thus explaining the 1 Roll ), and when he regained himself, he the only thing he could think of doing was following Sovelis. He did as he said, and looked. He tried to wake himself up a bit more, and tried to be more [Aware(ness Check)] of what that thing was. He kept his sword at the read and prepared himself to [Dodge (Check)] just in case it was something worthy of dodging. As he looked upon the thing, he continued to walk up the stairway to catch up with the Haikem, even if it were at a slow pace.

Horren gazes at Rose incredulously for several long, drawn out seconds . . . before blinking several times in rapid succession and turning away. He shakes his head in such a manner as one that will hide his look of pure shock. "I . . . I can imagine how that would be . . . useful . . ." he finally says as he glances around at all those gathered on the stairwell. 'Am I the only normal person here?!' he yells in his mind, then immediately thinks about this and shuts his mental mouth up. Knowing his luck, at least one member of the group he's found himself in is a telepath . . .
As Nogare follows Sovelis up the stairs, the two come across a rather interesting item: a small shard of a mirror, easily fitting in one's palm, reflecting the light from Sovelis' lantern even with the many cracks covering its edges. Who knows what it's doing here? Regardless, it is now that Nogare's Hylian senses, slightly better than a Human's, pick up on an important tidbit of information before the other can (16+4[Roll+INT]). His ears begin to hear the soft flutter in the wind, coming from . . . his left . . . in the open space off the side of the staircase?
Unfortunately, Nogare's Dodge Check fails (12+4+5[Roll+INT+AGI] vs. 20), and he suddenly finds a large metal dart protruding directly into his leg (19+7[Roll+AGI]). Karsis' laugh can be heard from across the vast emptiness around which the stone staircase, on the opposite side from the group and half a story farther up than they are. Gazing over there, Horren barely manages to catch a glimpse of the robed man before he returns to the hidden form of Shadowmeld.
From his vantage point, the Hakiem cracks a grin as he slips his shadow disguise over himself once more and finally begins his true trek to the top floor. Leaving behind a mirror to serve as a guiding beacon for his shot . . . priceless. He'd simply waited for the light reflecting off the mirror to move or disappear so he knew that somebody had picked it up, and then tossed a dagger in that direction. So simple, yet so very effective.
Well, on up to the top again, he decides. And this time, he won't stop until he reaches the Triforce's chamber again.

OOC: Hey... that worked . The dodge check worked perfectly. It was just the other thing that didn't work, that came after it .
IC: Nogare's leg fell limp, and he hollered out a call for help from Farore, but it was in the manner of a loud curse. Snarled he did, and he hanked out the metal chunk, making a disgusting snap, and he suffered greatly. He fell curled up, as though almost bowing, but he looked up and made a savage growl, and kicked himself up to his feet, not caring that his leg bone had just been stabbed into. He was completely aware that the marrow may very likely enter the blood, in which case he will take hold of a fever and die. But he cared not; all that mattered was the Triforce. It must be saved! He constantly prayed for the aid of Nayru, for her love of healing, and Farore, for courage.
He pushed his legs as hard as they would allow, and he made many a grunt as he made his way up. He could not let that fool have the Triforce, no matter the cost.

OOC: Um . . . cwap . . . uh . . . that wasn't . . . me . . . yeah, I didn't mess up the math there . . . no, definitely not me . . . it was my . . . evil, dark-hearted soul of a clone's work . . . yeah . . . that sounds reasonable, right? Right???
Well, it was either you or Sovelis, so . . . sorry about that, Nogare. *begs for forgiveness*
IC:
Horren winces as the dagger flies forward, embedding itself in Nogare's leg as easily as a knife slices through butter . . . though it quickly becomes apparent that that metaphor doesn't hold up when it comes to removing the dagger. Knowing instinctively what the injury could do to the designated leader of the group, the Colonel is shocked to see Nogare stand up once again. Surely he knows of the danger to his life such a wound could cause; and quite frankly, moving with the injury will only make the danger increase.
Not for the first time that night, the young man evaluates Nogare, going into one of his rare moments of being perfectly serious. 'He's either incredibly devoted, incredibly reckless, or incredibly stupid . . .' And while he discounts the last one, Horren comes to the conclusion that it's probably a unique combination of the other two - recklessness mixed with devotion. Nice to have in a man about to go on a suicide mission, but then, this isn't supposed to be suicidal. Not yet at least, Veldam thinks as he rolls his eyes and resumes his normally nonchalant attitude.
"Sir Blade!" he calls out, rushing forward. He lowers himself to the man's side, saying only a quick explanation: "You'll be much faster and a better fighter if we hurry and treat that wound." He quickly casts Favor of the Goddesses, and a swirl of crimson, azure, and emerald lights descend from the ceiling above to join together around the knight's leg (20+1[Roll+INT]), mending the wound until it is almost as if the dagger had never pierced it, though a scar will probably remain for the next few days.
That accomplished, Horren sprints forward, scaling the massive steps two at a time as he rushes forward. Without a fatal wound to worry about, his line of thought falls parallel to Nogare's: protecting the Triforce of Wisdom.

Before Veldam came to heal his wound, Nogare continued to run, but with every step he winced in terrible agony, for the dagger had struck in too deep a wound. He knew it was foolish for him to continue on, so he fell down to sit, and hollered for the others to catch up with the enemy.
Veldam's healing was well done, because, as he had learned while training, healing spells can often cause the person casting to be hurt for a long time and be very badly hurt. But he knew that now people were too intelligent with magic for that, in most cases. Though he could easily cast the spell himself, he still found it amusing how the skin brought itself together exactly in the right places, and taking a bit of the pain away, refreshing the body. There was a scar, of course, but he has seen some cases where there was no sight of the wound's location at all.
But this didn't matter. After he saw that the Zora was done, Nogare the Valiant leaped upright, and grabbed Belegcam his spear by leaning down slightly as he ran towards where the one who wounded him was. He had to be stopped! Instinctively, having been hurt from this villian, he felt that more eager to kill him. But he was still able to keep himself calm enough to not go savage, and in fact he hated having to kill a man again, because he had killed so many before, but right now there was no other choice.
"Come now! Forth Hyrule! Forth!" was his exclaimation! Twice he cried these words, and his paces were long and quick, to catch up with the villian, if there was any hope of saving the Triforce at all!
OOC: Sorry about the wait. I've been busy, but it was not terribly important, and speak honestly to say that I was avoiding HA2 for a while.
And to my Fight for Light fans! I will come there once I have a chance! I can't now because the info is not where I am at this time. So bomb voyage, ma fliends!

OOC: Ahem, sorry for not posting in here for a while. Oh, and Nogare, General Kamas Lion was the Zora. Colonel Horren Veldam is a Hylian. While I'm correcting some mistakes, it's "bon voyage," not "bomb voyage" (unless you're quoting The Incredibles), and it's "friends," not "fliends." Unless "fliends" is a word from a foreign langauge that I don't know about/not familiar with.
IC:
Rose smiled at Colonel Veldam's reactions to her being a shapeshifter. Not that she blamed her. If the roles were switched, she'd be shocked as well.
And then Karsis had thrown the dagger at Nogare, injuring the Knight of Hyrule. Out of force of habit, she drew her sword and took a battle stance, but immediately relaxed only the slightest bit when the Hakiem made it clear he intended to remain hidden in shadows. She moved forward, about to offer to bandage Nogare's wounds, but Veldam made that unncessary with his healing spell.
When Sovelis spoke up, she glanced over in time to see a metallic left arm. The hell? she thought to herself. There is no way that can be natural. And then Sovelis told the colonel that he most likely was the only normal one. She frowned at this, for she didn't remember Veldam asking if he was the only normal one. And then it dawned on her that Veldam would think it so as not to offend anyone, and that Sovelis was a telipath. She turned away from the man with the metal arm, thinking Damn it, you've got to be kidding me. Well, he better learn to stay out of people's heads.
OOC: Seriously, Sovelis; when a character thinks something, it's meant to be private to that character. Just because you're allowed to hear it OOC doesn't mean you should be allowed to hear it IC. I think it comes close to godmodding and/or is metagaming. I highly recommend you use your character's telepathic powers to create a link between everyone when silence is needed, but we still need to communicate.
IC:
Rose caught up to Veldam, determined that she would show no signs of having listened to Sovelis. After all, even without the man, she would've been able to tell her unique abilities bothered the Hylian. "Don't think I didn't noticed how you acted when I told you I'm a shapeshifter," she said, sounding amused. "I know it's a unique ability you don't come across, and you must think me a freak for it, but don't. After all, just as you can't shapeshift, I can't cast spells like your healing spell you performed just now. It wouldn't be fair if I thought you a freak for it, right?" Rose smirked. "But then, I'd be calling many freaks, wouldn't I?"
And then Nogare once again showed off his patriotism to Hyrule, and she once again rolled her eyes. Undoubtedly, patriotism could be a good feeling to have sometimes, but Rose could never feel it for herself, even though she was general of the Tarm Army. She thought back to when she first talked to the King of Tarm about her first promotion in the army. "I don't like seeing people get hurt for no reason. That's why I joined the Tarm Army. To protect the people of Holodrum. Nobility, commoners, human, Hylian, Goron, Deku, man, woman, young, and old. It doesn't matter as long as I'm able to protect them."
OOC: Why yes, that is in my sig. Now you and I both know where it comes from.
Oh, and by the way, I'm like Rose with the patriotism bit. Personally, I see no use for it, especially when it comes into conflict with what I believe in. Hence why the only reason I call myself American is because I live in the U.S.
