Arrika shut her eyes tightly, trying to think of something. Black tattoos spread across her face and arms, and they started to glow an eerie ghostly green. There was a small bursting sound as Arrika dropped to the ground, the remnants of Ralin's spell turning into more black squares. "What the hell?" She opened her eyes, a cat like pupil now visible. She looked down at her glowing arms. "How did I..? Never mind. We'll figure it out later!" Arrika put her hand on Sovelis' arm, and he dropped down as well as the spell shattered. "We can't just run out there, or we'll be taken like Seth. Any ideas?" She asked frantically.
Seth was thrown roughly onto a stone floor, the cell door slamming shut, the sound familiar to him. Another guard, a big Twili with his helmet covering his eyes stood on a wall opposite him. Seth shivered; although he coudln't see the Twili's eyes, he was sure it could see him perfectly. "Oh crap. Can't pick the lock with him staring at me..." He muttered.

"Well, you can hide with your Shadowmeld...and I could give you the amulet to hold onto while I use my powers to...well..do something. I don't know!" Sovelis was upset, and looked at Arrika with some hint of confusion. "I can't do anything! I'm powerless and we need to rescue everyone! Maybe we should go get Rhyss and Mirielle first. We'll need them to save Seth." he sugested, picking his canteen up again and sipping from it. After he took a drink, he held it to Arrika. "Thirsty?"

"No," she said, thinking quickly. She Shadowmelded away and much easier than she would have in Hyrule. "Hold on to me so you'll be invisible too." She grabbed Sovelis's hand, but a sizzling sound made her let go. Looking down, the Sheikah saw that her hand had been slightly burnt. "What the hell?! Damn... C'mon, think of something," Arrika muttered to herself as she reappeared.
Another fairy-like Twili zipped past her, this one more human-sized than Ralin. Her hair was a steely metallic color and would sweep the floor if she didn't buzz around on silver wings lined with thorns. "Hey there!" The Twili had tattoos covering almost every inch of her body, and then glowed a pale red. "Did you hear?! Michottaxin found a mortal!" She squealed with delight, and seemed even ditzier than the previous pixie. "Are you going to the Arena? If you don't leave now you'll never get a good seat!" At this point she seemed to have finally noticed Sovelis, and she gasped. "You have one too?! What, is this some new trend?" The metallic fairy pouted. "Eeee... this one's too pretty to have him eaten up. But wouldn't it be great to see his face covered in his own blood?!"
These Twili all have this sick sense of humor! And she seems to think I'm a Twili too?! Might be the tattoos though. Arrika said mentally to Sovelis. Here's an idea: Play along and be a better actor than you were at Pearanus' fort, then when we get to the Arena, which sounds like really big deal and is bound to be crowded, we can sneak off and look for Seth. Arrika didn't include anything about saving Mirielle first in her plan.
"Can you take us to the Arena then?" Arrika asked.
"Don't you know?" The fairy said, a confused look on her face. "I mean, what else is there to do around here, really?" Luckily the Sheikah had already guessed she'd ask that question.
"It's just, I've been sooo occupied with thinking of ways to kill him slowly, I mean, something original, you know? Everything seems to have been done by now," she lied easily, gesturing to Sovelis.
The fairy nodded. "Yeah, I guess I'd have that problem too. Well, you can think of stuff on the way there!" She grabbed the Sheikah's hand energetically and dragged her down the floating walkway so fast Arrika had to sprint. "Hey, are you one of those aristocrats? I mean, you don't have wings, and you don't really see many upper class Twili hanging around this part of the Realm..."
"Aristocrat? Not me. Yea... you know how it goes. Backstabbing and everything between the families, so we all ended up even further down society's ladder," Arrika said with a well practiced grimace.
"Oh, that's too bad." By this time they were starting to see more and more Twili, and it looked as if they were entering the heart of a city. From the look of things you can tell who's upperclass and who's not, the upperclass made of lankier looking Twili males and more regal seeming, tall women. The lower class resembles the imp who opened the rift, Ralin, and this fairy here. Whether both classes share the same sick sense of amusement isn't known yet. They all neared what was obviously the Arena, which was a large, black colosseum. Many Twili stop to stare at Sovelis, but none really take notice of Arrika, who is thankful that she can blend so easily into the crowd.
"Hey, do you know where the dungeouns-" Arrika turned and bumped into a tall Twili in long, flowing robes. He turned and glared down at her, his skin a ghastly greenish color. "Sorry," Arrika muttered, gesturing for Sovelis to follow her further. "At least we lost that other Twili. Now, if I were a dungeon, where would I be..." She was unwilling to ask anyone, afraid that they would realize she wasn't from the Twilight Realm at all.

"I feel like a freak here. Its one thing to stare because of my arm, but when everyone here is another race...I'm just...lost. If I could transform into Sovel...Hehehehehe!!!" the Tempest laughed with some strange, sadistic glee as he tried to grab the Amulet from around his neck. "Because of this damn world, and this damn amulet...and my own stupidity. Arrika. Let me go into this arena. I can hold my own there with my magic. If I absolutely have to, I'll take this stupid thing off and blast my way out." Sovelis said, tugging at the chain of the trapped Twili. "Wait!!! What if we can use this Twili? If you could figure out how you changed your appearance, then maybe you can make me look like the one inside the amulet!"

"I'm not letting you kill yourself! That's just stupid!" Arrika said, grabbing him by the front of his robes, but let go quickly as her hands were burned again. "Here," she said, beckoning him to follow her into a deserted alley. At least some things between Hyrule and the Twilight Realm were similar. "I have no idea what happened to me, but that's worth a shot. Er... if only I could actually touch you, that would be a great start..."
The black spell on Mirielle and Rhyss shattered, and they fell to their knees, gasping for breath. "Where.... is.... that little bitch?!" Mirielle screamed. She looked around, realizing she was in the middle of some kinda of theater. Or a colosseum, by the looks of it.
"Mirielle..." Rhyss said, pointing to a stone door on the grey wall in front of them that slowly started to open. A hunched over Twili with a square shaped body and long black tentacles sprouting from its head crept out, making a loud keening screech. It noticed Mirielle and Rhyss and began to stalk them, circling them menacingly.
Rhyss looked up, shocked at the number of Twili that had gathered to watch them be slaughtered. Many of them were cheering, though some were booing that the two mages hadn't been ripped to shreds on the spot. Mirielle had a fierce look in her eyes. "Are you ready, Rhyss?"
"No, but what the hell," he said, his hands running over an unseen staff that then materialized in his hands.

Sovelis looked around. "It sounds like the others are in the Arena..." he said as he grabbed at the amulet. "Either we go now, or I'm going to rip this thing of and go help them. After I take this off and use the demon...I've got 10 minutes to live. We can't just do NOTHING and let them die!" he said, grabbing Arrika's arm, but he let go as soon as he saw that he was hurting her again. "Sorry...."

A slim figure wrapped in a solid black cloak with dark green stitching on the edges ran through the crowd, ignoring the calls of her guards and servants behind her. Something interesting had finally happened, and she wasn't going to miss a minute of it. Intending to lose her pursuers she swung into a nearby alley and ran to the end, bumping into a Twili with ghostly green tattoos and a red cloaked man with a metal arm. She retreated slowly, watching them with her own haunting eyes.
"Lady Morendo!" A Twili man with armor shoulder blades and a short spear appeared, grabbing her by the arm. "Your mother will be furious if she finds you've tried to run away again!"
"I don't care! Make someone else rule this stupid Realm! Do you know what I would give to be the lowest of the low, wandering the darkness of the Twilight with no place to go? Do you know what I would give to be one of the Exiles?!" The guard just sighed, obviously having dealt with her behavior before.
"You. Twili girl. Who's that you have with you?" He asked gruffly instead.
"He's mine. Back off!" Arrika growled. More guards and a couple of fairyish servants filled the alley, a couple of them grabbing Sovelis and Arrika roughly and dragging them off.

"I'm sick of this! I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!" Sovelis roared loudly as he freed one of his arms and ripped the suppression amulet, casting it aside. Almost as soon as he had done that, the pain hit him again and he threw the Twili off of him. He was beyond gone now, because he was glowing a rather brilliant shade of red. "RUN ARRIKA! RRRUUUUNN!!!!"
Sovelis's body seemed to gather shadows to him, and lots of those funny little squares as well. He seemed to change into...something else.

Arrika's eyes widened with shock and fear as Sovelis changed. The Twili scattered, dragging the protesting Lady Morendo with them who seemed to find the whole thing exciting instead of scary. Her heart was beyond beating fast; it was thumping so madly she felt it would burst. Without a word she sprinted away, getting as far from Sovelis as possible with no idea where she was headed. She knew she should help Rhyss and Mirielle, but panic had taken over her mind and all she wanted to do was hide and wait for everything to blow over.
"They just... keep... coming!" Rhyss roared as he smashed the skull of another Twili with his staff, their blood soaking his robes and Mirielle's.
"Then keep whackin' em!" Mirielle screamed back. There were more boos than cheers now though, a majority of the crowd having bet against their survival. You'd think Ralin would be basking in the glory of finding such a catch, but she was nowhere to be seen. A fresh tide of Twili monsters burst from the walls, surrounding the two mages on all sides.
"I'm not sure... I can last.. much longer!" Rhyss blasted apart 3 at once with a force of magic, panting heavily.
"Then I didn't teach you anything!" Mirielle said, taking out 5 at once with a satisfied smirk. "You cowards!" She yelled at the spectators. "Why don't you fight us yourselves, instead of sending your dogs after us?!"
"Don't egg them on! This is hard enough!" Rhyss said, but the witch ignored him.

Ah...NOW THIS IS POWER! the Demonic Sovelis roared as he ran after out into the streets of the Twili city. What shall I do first? Free those two, or find Arrika? he asked himself loudly as he ran towards the arena as fast as he could go. I need to be quick. I have very little time...after this is out, I'm more than likely going to die or something! Hang on everyone, I'm on the way! the doomed man thought to himself as he barreled through crowds of the pixie Twili, and of the more human-like ones as well. Arrika...forgive me...Its the only thing I could do.

Seth had fallen into a sort of trance as he sat on the cold floor of his cell, the Twili guard staring at him the entire time. He shuddered, his eyes shooting open as a feeling of dread engulfed him. "Oh no..." he whispered. The thief jumped up, grasping two of the bars in his hands. "Look, you've got to let me out right now! Or everyone, and I mean everyone is going to die!" He received no response. "I'm serious!" He screamed. "Argh, damn you all!" He kicked one of the bars, a clanging sound echoing throughout the dungeon. At least they didn't chain me to the wall. Seth pressed his head against the cold of the stone walls, trying to block out the chaos filling his mind as Sovelis ran loose on the streets.
The masses of lower class Twili shrieked with fear and flew away upon seeing Sovelis, although the upper class just gave him haughty stares and let him pass. The hard looks on their faces only expressed annoyance, no concern at all for the demon roaming their Realm.
Ralin squealed with indignation as she was kicked out of the Arena. "NO! LET ME BACK IN RIGHT NOW!!!! THEY'RE MINE, YOU HEAR ME! MINE!" She shrieked and pounded on the doors. The keepers of the Arena had gratefully accepted Ralin's offering to let them use the two mages as entertainment, completely ignoring the price tag she put on them. She had then been thrown out, grieving and clawing at the doors at her loss. "No one cheats me!" She hissed. "You'll all get what you deserve! Eeeeh!"

Seeing how the upper-classed Twili seemed to not fear him, Sovelis grabbed on by the neck and lifted him off the ground. Why do you not fear me, denizen of the Twilight? Is your head so far up your ass that you cannot even see what I am?he yelled, crushing the Twili's throat and killing him. The demon heard a very familiar voice, and turned to see Ralin, as she was thrown from the arena. YOU! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH THE OTHER TWO! the enraged, and possessed Tempest bellowed as he lunged forward at her, grabbing her by the throat. Tell me, or they'll be scraping your pieces off the ground!

The regal Twili merely looked on. A female, the dead Twili's old consort threw herself down at her knees, holding his corpse in her hands as she began to sob. The rest of the Twili looked away, remarking to each other how pathetic they had become to cry in the face of just death.
Ralin's eyes widened with fear as she realized who had grabbed her. She squirmed in his grasp, clawing uselessly at his arm. Her wings beat furiously as she tried to pry open his hand. "You idiot! Are you going to throw your life away for someone else?" The pixie gasped. "They're over there-" She could hardly breathe but managed to point towards the doors behind her. "Let go. Please. I'll give you anything! I didn't mean to supress you all the way! It was the only thing I could come up with to help you, and that's the truth for once. Please," the pixie said, her beetle black eyes brimming with tears.
Seth's foot ached after kicking the bars repeatedly with frustration, trying to think of something other than the oppressing feeling of Sovel's aura. Not caring whether the motionless guard would get angry, he tried to pick the lock in front of him. The guard did move this time, smashing the metal door with his spear, causing Seth to flinch and jump back.
A pure black cat with golden eyes and a thick, foxlike tail sat farther down the wall, and if Seth sat in the furthermost corner of the cell he could see it. The guard had either not noticed it yet or didn't care again. The Twili cat's tufted ears twitched as it alone could hear Ralin's pleading from far away and the sobbing Twili woman on the streets. "Mrrrow?" The guard heard this and turned his head to the side, looking at the feline curiously. The cat's eyes glowed, illuminating the whole room and blinding Seth temporarily. He shielded his eyes but could hear the clanking thud as the spear wielding Twili fell to the ground, either dead or unconcious. The extreme light faded and Seth stared with amazement at the cat. "..Thank... you...?" He wasted no time in picking the lock with ease and ran through the dungeon, the cat trailing after him, its lamplike eyes haunting his every step.

Sovelis charged into the Arena, Ralin still clutched tightly in his clawed hand as he barged through the gate and smashed past the guards. As he did this, he saw Mirielle and Rhyss fighting off the Shadow Beasts. Here I am, running around this world, my soul being corrupted, and here you two are getting to kill things! I find this rather unfair! he said sadistically as he shoved Ralin into Mirielle's arm. If she tries anything, kill her, woman. he said as he started clawing and smashing the shadow beasts. Find Arrika, and then go find Seth. I'm already dead, so I shall end it all with a grand finale! he said, looking at Rhyss. Tell her that I am...sorry. That I am a fool for choosing this. But tell Arrika that this changes the future that Seth has foreseen. NOW GO!
The dark demon was clawing, kicking, and blasting left and right. But everytime he struck one of the beasts down, it was as if three more had sprouted from the air to take their place. He roared with maniacal laughter as he killed the creatures, and watched sadly as the two mages ran for their lives.

The mages had been stunned speechless but forced their exhausted bodies to move, running as fast as they could.
"Mirielle, where the hell are we going?!" Rhyss panted.
"How am I supposed to know! Keep going! What the hell was that?!"
"I think it was... (huff) Sovelis..."
"...?!"
Rhyss almost laughed at the panicked expression on Mirielle's face. Ralin bit the witch's arm, but she smacked her on the head until the pixie was too dizzy and stopped. "No wonder Seth didn't like him..." I wonder what the kid saw.
If Sovelis got over his obssession with massacring anything that got in his way and looked up, he would have seen that the audience have scattered except for one Twili man, who jumped down to the dirt and blood stained grounds with inhumane skill and catlike reflexes. He wore a mask that covered half of his face, but the skin that you could see was pure black, as if he were nothingness walking around. He silently drew two hooked swords and beckoned to the Tempest to fight him.
Seth ended up following the demonic cat through long, twisted alleys that he didn't know the Twili civilization held. "Where are we going?" He asked it, figuring that the cat should be able to talk if it had helped free him. He got no response again and was starting to get annoyed that no one had talked to him in the past few hours. He looked up and saw that a large black palace was coming into view, Twili birds with batlike wings and horn shaped beaks that made siren type noises circling the high towers.
After some hard jogging Seth found himself grabbing one of the huge iron ring door handles and pulling it open, the door groaning in protest the whole way as the cat sat on the stone steps looking at him expectantly. "There. I bet you're one of those spoiled palace cats, aren't you? And you just wanted someone to take you home." The cat slunk through the door and into the castle, which seemed even darker than it was outside. It looked back at him and cocked its head curiously, its tail twitching. "You want me to go inside?"
"Mrrrrow." Seth followed the cat inside and up flights and flights of stone stairs, and when he felt that his legs would fall off he came face to face with a smaller and less ornate wooden door. It looked so out of place from the antique looking palace that he opened it as well and stepped inside.
The room was completely dark and had a more chilling air than the rest of the Realm. A hooded woman sat by a by a window, its frames like solid black ivy. She turned to look at him, and even before the thief saw her face he knew who she was.
"Seth... you insist on still plaguing me, little brother?" She said lightly, not meaning it as an insult. "You look the same as you are in my dreams. It's been so long... these people are cold. Colder than I had ever imagined. The only one here with a speck of life is Lady Morendo, and her people restrain it whenever she shows signs of backing down. I've gotten what I've always wanted, though, so I shouldn't complain..." Her chestnut hair had faded to a duller shade, her hands thin and pale, her once rosy face thin and pinched looking.
"What do you mean?! I- I just saw you this morning!" Seth said, his voice choking. "How long has it really been?! I- I just saw you-"
