OOC: This room seems familiar, except for that in the Wind Waker the rooms have 6 doors XD Nostalgia!

IC:

Blank shrugged as the door slammed down behind him, not altogether worried that they could very well have taken his life had he been only an inch back. Casually, he stepped into the room and gazed around at what he saw. Sand and pillars, although excellent architecture for such an abysmal tomb, was not what he was hoping for. The nomad was ill; what he had wanted was to find a chest of some kind, or at least an exit. The dusty (and now sandy) atmosphere was hardly an antidote for the grogginess that plagued him on this day.

However, with the Stalfos exterminated and the dungeon one step closer to completion, Blank's confidence was rising. For a moment he forgot that he was stuck underground far South in Parapa Desert, rather than resting at the Stock Pot Inn, or at least at the Crescent Moon Tavern. The prospect of returning to the surface soon made him almost giddy with joy. Unfortunately, he retained an air of suspicion; if Pyre, Dogura and the Hylian were really in the clear, the room would not feel so... unnaturally calm. This made Blank feel uneasy again.

Naturally he would assume that the unlocked door was the way to go. But the nomad had an ominous suspicion in mind. The sand on the floor's center did little to persuade him to step forward. He calmed himself. It was probably just an irrational thought. Nonetheless, caution was necessary. For six Stalfos to be all that was keeping these stones safe was an oddity indeed. Blank decided to sidle around the sand pit, making his way towards the door. As he reached his goal, he extended his hand to open the portal, bracing himself for the worst.

As Blank siddled along the wall, the room began to tremble. Dust fell from the cave ceiling, and as suddenly as it began, it stopped. Dogura who watched carefully as Blank made his way towards the doorway, looked around, and heeved a sigh of relief. "No worries!" The samurai called out to Blank, who was far from where the adventurers stood. "Tremors are quite common around these areas! Dont worry about it!" Armed with this knowledge, Blank's fingers wrapped around the doorknob. And then, as he turned the knob, something wierd happened. The door began to shake violently to the left, and then to the right. Then, it came down on the Nomad, crashing down on his head, dealing a weak, but startling 5 DMG to Blank.

It was at that moment that the tremor from earlier picked up where it had left off, this time, much stronger. Dogura was screaming above the noise, but his words were being drowned out by the quake! "This isnt normal!! This quake is far too strong!! If we dont do something we'll surely"- **BOOM** Dogura was interupted by a large booming sound, which was followed by a long and eerie silence. "There is something wrong..." Dogura whispered, just as the sand in the middle of the room exploded, sending the stuff everywhere! As the sand cleared, what sat in the middle of the room astonished the group of adventurers...

STALLORD Sand Skeleton
Strength: 7
Defense: 3
Agility: 7
Intelligence: 12
Spirit: 10
Spell: 87
HP: 120

The creature was incredibly large, and rose halfway above the sand, only his torso and above showing. It had long arms, which held sharp black claws as the end of each bony hand. It's skull was large, and looked as if it belonged to an ancient Hylian Dinosaur. It's large red eyes glowed, and it looked straight down at Dogura and Pyre, yet didnt seem to notice Blank on the other side of the room just yet. "... Remain... completely... still..." Dogura said telepathically to both of his comrades. It was at that moment that the small Stall-child from earlier stepped out from behind the large animalistic beast. "It was them daddy! Those mean men hurt me! Brother must have beaten the other man!" The monster let out a horrible screech that shook the large room, and it glared at the two men who dared to enter it's lair.

OOC: You guys wouldnt believe me, I know, but I actually thought of this before I played TP. Of course, I used the name Nintendo gave to it, but I was so shocked when I fought him in TP. I was also extremely angry that everyone would think I copied TP's idea. I know its tough to believe, but this was a total ZV original. Notice that the place was filled with Stalfos? yeah, this guy was waiting for you guys all along.

Pyre found himself stepping backwards rapidly at the sight of the sand skeleton. His daggers were clutched tightly in his hands. After a few paces though, he heard the telepathci message and stopped himself, and prepared for battle.

First thing first. He needed to take in the enviromental factors. He had no grasp of what kind of attacks the skeleton would use. He was determined to be ready for them. The sand would obviously be a factor, but he couldn't find anyways to use it to his advantage. He looked over at Dogura. What was the plan of action?

The hylian decided to leave it to him, and continued his preparations. He built up a large concentration of magic inside of him, ready to be used when the situation demanded it. He would wait to see what would happen, and then act.

Blank glanced to his left and noticed Pyre had hesitated to charge on the Stallord. He commended the younger adventurer on his rationale; leaping at this foe would be an act far more stupid than anything the three men could even hope to attempt. Blank admired Pyre for not taking the obvious choice in battle. The nomad himself was not the most battle-hardened warrior; had he not looked around and saw that the others had stood perfectly still, he probably would have started a fury of hack and slash action.

Instead, he followed suit by standing perfectly still, not even bothering to draw his swords. The Hylian pressed himself against the wall and tried to make himself seem invisible, and he dearly wished he was not in this underground catacomb facing off against a colossal bone demon. He felt like he should run over and kick the small Stalchild until its remains were but a depleted pile of rough bone matter.

"Dogura, you never said anything like this was waiting for us!" Blank said to himself in a daze, massaging his head and fighting back the vicious migraine caused by the falling door. The trap left him seething with rage, but he stood his ground and waited for an opportunity to find a decent enough strategy. It appeared that the Stallord had not caught sight of him just yet, nor had the demented Stalchild. This comforted him, but he knew he could not just stand around and let the others deal with it. He tried his best to focus on an acceptable approach to the battle.

OOC: To see how much damage is dealt, I roll a 10 sided dice, and add Stallord's attack to it. Yeah, I rolled a 20 to see if it hit, and a 1 to see how much damage I took. I think the dice saw me cry, and decided to do little damage XD

Blank's awareness check succeeds, and Blank notices something out of place. The Goron special crop had been planted all along the walls of the room. Suddenly, the monster brought a claw down on Dogura! [AGI+Roll=27]VS[DEF+AGI=20] Despite the samurai's best attempts to dodge the raging beast, he fell victim to a greusome attack, dealing a solid 8 damage which cut him short on HP. Dogura stood up from the attack, breathing heavily. "That beast could have ripped me to bits. I guess it didnt have a good hold me." Dogura shouted, remembering Blank noticed something. Following his gaze, he too noticed the bomb flowers around the room. Dogura then looked at the sand that was being sucked towards the beast. Pondering, Dogura watched for any sudden movements that the beast might make...

Dogura: 34 HP
Blank: 36 HP
Pyralin: 31 HP

OOC: If you cant figure this out, maybe you deserve to die

Pyre winced as Dogura got clawed, but held his ground, trying to think of a way to attack. When the samurai turned, he followed his gaze, and was surprised at the result. Bomb flowers? What are they doing down here? The hylian knew they would be a useful tool for defeating the skeletal monster, but there seemed to be something out of place. That seemed a bit too obvious.

But at the same time something clicked, and a plan began to form in his head. He only hoped that Dogura was monitoring his thoughts when he shouted out with his mind. He had no telepathing abilities himself, but hoped that would do the trick.

This is what he planned to do:

Attacking the stallord would be pointless, unless the attack had a powerful punch. Therefore they had to use the bomb flowers. Now Pyre thought that, because he was undetected, Blank would be the perfect person to use the flowers. That left but one thing. The skullchild. It was possible that the little guy would interfere with an attack, so Pyre decided that he would take care of him.

That was the easy part. He sheathed one of his dirks, and drew out a throwing dagger. He decided that a simple throw would not be enough torment for the damned creature, and poured some magical energy into the blade when he threw it. In midair, as it sped towards its target, the dagger burst into flames. A slight smile crossed his face. He was going to enjoy watching the little pest be cut down.

Soon he was interupted from his rejoycing by the huge creature. How could be forget about the threat that the stallord represented. He decided to leave his fate to the goddesses, and hope that Blank would launch a bomb attack.

Blank saw that Pyre was taking care of the Stalchild. He grinned as the younger adventurer's knife zipped through the still air of the cavern, nearly going blind as the flames lit up the dreary, dark room. With the Stalchild distracted - and dead, hopefully - Blank knew the time was right for exacting his plot against the Stallord.

That is, the plot he had thought up after noticing the bomb flowers spread out around the room. As Pyre went after his nuisance, Blank edged his way towards the nearest crop and snatched it from it's flower. Bomb flowers, despite being rarities to the world, were not very far removed from normal explosives. The nomad was impartial to anything that could explode lately, after an ill-fated mishap in the mountains.

Now, he had never really been overly experienced with handling dangerous vegetation such as this, so rather than standing about waiting for disaster, he hurled the head-sized bomb into the shifting sand. Blank aimed as closely as he could manage to the colossal beast, hoping that the sand would carry the bomb someplace useful for detonation.

Dogura was able to make a mental note of what the two were doing, and Dogura knew exactly. But would a bomb flower really be enough to bring down the beast that lurked before them? Of course not. But what happened next caught the samurai off guard. The bomb flower was sucked towards the beast by the currents of the sand, and exploded with an ear shattering noise at the base of the sand pit. After the dust cleared, nothing had happene, except that fact that the beast was not happy! The monster reared bck to attack, when suddenly, it realized that something was out of place... It's child was face first in the sand about 20 yards from Stallord. It let out a horrified shriek, and realized that it's child had been blown clear across the room by the Goron's special crop!

It was at that moment, that something happened, that would likely turn the tide of the battle. The large living pile of bones pulled itself out of the sand bit just enough to reach across the room, and make sure it's child was okay. The newly revealed part of the monster, was a small yellow fragment that was glowing bright, attatched to it's lower spine. Dogura saw instantly the oppertunity, and swiftly, but surely, launched himself at the crest embeded in the creature's spine. Jutting his sword straight into it, dealing a good 9 DMG! the monster let out a horrible cry, which shook the area yet again. Dogura motioned for the others to attack as well, as he lept back to the small portion of cement tile in the room.

Stallord:111 HP

OOC: There is no possible way the beast can defend, just go ahead, and add you damage to Stallord.

The ranger didn't waste any time. He put his speed to use, rushing forward towards the glowing fragment. He knew that there might be a trap awaiting him, but there was only a small opening in which he could strike. He slashed horizontally with his dagger at the vunerable target.

He wasn't sure if his attack would hit, but didn't wait around to find out. He was already sprinting away from the huge creature. Pyre didn't want to be caught in the monster's claws, and saw it prudent to leave the immdiate vicinity of their undead adversary. He looked over his shoulder to see how things were turning out, and readied himself for what ever was thrown his way next.

OOC: All I can say is

Blank beamed with glee as the Stalchild was flung across the room, noting how happy he was that the nuisance had finally been calmed. Further strengthening the joy he felt was the plain fact that it was his own handiwork that had quieted the immature pile of disrespectful bones. Of course, the slight hatred that he felt towards the insignificant monster child was not great enough to distract him from his real motives; he looked away from the creature and focused on the Stallord.

A normal person - even on who denied all emotions - would have felt awful, rather than gloating at the torment of a child. It would tear at said person's heartstrings as they watched the strong paternal figure care for its innocent youth. But that walking skull was no innocent child, and Blank knew nothing of the love that parents were capable of extending. He felt no sympathy for the fallen one and instead stared directly into the father's obvious weak spot. It seemed all monsters came with weak spots these days, and for this the nomad was thankful. It would make vanquishing this foe all the more easy.

"I'm about tired of this nonsense!" spoke Blank with a disgruntled tone of voice. The dark underground crypt had been unwelcoming from the start. Grasping tightly the swords that had never failed him in battle, except for those few times when he fumbled them and felt the receiving end of an enemy weapon, he lunged through the sand at the Stallord. His boots became weighted as the slow sand filled them, but his relentless assault was not hindered. He held the swords above his head and brought them sharply downwards into the crest.

The monster screeched, and scooped its child up in its arms, in total disregard of the pain. The child pieced itself back together with the help of it's black magic. The little monster lept out of it's father's arms, and stood back at his side. It was as if the little tyrant hadn't learned a single thing! Dogura cocked his head. "Perhaps a trap? No, no, they're not smart enough... They're only mere stalfos..." Dogura gripped a bomb plant, and pulled it up from it's roots, triggering the fuse. The samurai would have to get in close to hurl the bomb

OOC: To get in close enough, I'm rolling a 20 sided dice. If you roll over 10, you can hurl the bomb. I trust you all to roll your own dice, so if you ever pick a bomb up, just roll a 20 sided dice to see if it hits. You may also dip into your Will power if you must. DICE ROLL: 19

The bomb soared true, and landed right in front of the stalchild. It's eyes seemed to widen as the bomb exploded, once again sending the monster flying across the room. As it collided with the wall, the large beast did just as it did last time. It leaned across the room exposing it's under-side. Dogura saw his chance, and pointed a finger outward. "Now!" he called out, as he rushed in for the attack.

Stallord: 80 HP

~Pyralin was dumbstruck. The stupidity was running rampant in this room, and the stallord was already exposing his weakspot again. He laughed, and rushed back in for a strike. As he ran, a cold cord of fear ran through him. The hylian was afraid that when the stalfos learned from experience, things would not get pretty.

He shoved that thought away, and concentrated on the moment, lashing out with his blades, in a powerful, yet simple, two pronged attack. He didn't put much thought into, and didn't need to. This was a weak spot after all.~

Blank looked up at the Stallord's revealed point of weakness. Perfect he thought, grinning like a schoolboy. He gripped the twin hilts of his identical, beaten swords and plunged himself into the fray, preparing to swing the splintering wooden objects like undersized clubs at the glowing target ahead of him. A steady bead of sweat dripped from his mussed hair as he charged, splattering on the floor and creating flecks of wet sand by his feet, which were soon lost amid a storm of kicked up sand resulting from the nomad's quick pace. The twinkling tears of his efforts continued to be produced; Blank was becoming weary of this tiresome, repetitive fight.

The Hylian had not been himself for the duration of this voyage. No asinine reactions to odd sights, nor embarrassing journeys to the floor had caused him any sort of malcontent. Truly this was one of the greatest triumphs of Blank Fireside - a riveting battle in which he, the hero of the day, single handedly (despite using two swords) had slain the mighty Stallord without so much as a trip-and-fall ensemble. Blank felt proud, felt excited, felt that nothing could ruin this ---

Felt the bitter taste of sand and sweat as the beads trickled into his eyes and blinded him. Maybe tomorrow thought Blank with a disappointed expression of horror on his face as he landed with a thud in the dirt. The nomad crashed into the shifting sand directly beside the immense creature, and sent jolts of the coarse material into the stale air around him. As he hurdled to the ground he felt his arms fling forward, and his swords collide with the awe-striking yellow underside. Or perhaps it was something else...

Dogura lept back, as the beast reccolected itself, and seemed to scold its child. It turned, and glared at the adventurers, almost as if daring them to try again. The room was now humid, and there was a mood of tension filling the area. Dogura constantly remained on guard, watching for any movement the monster might make. Flipping through his mind like a book, Dogura read any of the beasts thoughts. It couldn't pick up anything on the stones... It's mind was clouded with malice, and hate for the men standing before it. Suddenly, the Stallord lifted its arms, as if to slam them down... but they remained in the air. The ground began to shift, as many stalchildren pulled themselves up out of the shifting sands, the sand falling through their skeletal structure. Dogura sighed, and placed a hand over his face. "I hate the undead... Weak, and stupid... what a nuisance. Well boys, we got some slaying to do. I hate to say it, but we have to get rid of these goons first." The Stalchildren made a defensive circle around their king, locking arms to protect it. Dogura streched out, and held his sword over his head. "Bear witness to my techniques!" The samurai shouted, dissapearing from sight.
Shadow Dance of the WillowWisp new
Only one clan has been known to use this technique, and that particular clan has been gone for years. An incredibly rare attack, the user is able to use shadows to make it appear as if they are fading in and out of reality, making them hard to track.
The Stalchildren fell in heaps, as the deadly wind moved in and out of sight, slaying them by the numbers. The techinqu finished, and the samurai had managed to slay seven of the many monsters. [10 sided dice roll= 7]

Stalchildren X13

OOC: They're only defending it. Rush in and take out as many as you can, this part is RP fighting. I'm pretty much spoiling you guys, you're going to hate your own dungeons.

~When all the skullchildren rose out of the ground, Pyre couldn't help but sigh. Things had been going on so well. It seemed like the massive creature was going to fall easily, but now it had to go and call undead. No doubt these were more of its children, and killing them was going to make the monster even angrier. Great.

However, it wasn't time for complaining. They needed to destroy the smaller creatures as fast as they could so the Stallord didn't get a chance to rip them apart. The hylian didn't exactly welcome a death in a sandy tomb. No doubt he would join the ranks of this monstrousities undead army.

With those thoughts to spur him on, he started to think. One would think that this would simply be contradicitng his previous thoughts, but he was thinking of the most effective way to kill the creatures. Blades didn't tend to be all too effective against undead, even if the skullchildren were weaker versions, so he decided to use a different medium of anihilation. Fire.

He quickly stabbed his scimitar deep into the sand below his feet. And whipped his fire scroll out of his pocket. Instead of immediately beginning his incantation though, he instead dropped to his knees and wrapped the scroll around the hilt of the blade. Standing up again, he then preceeded with the incantation. The hylian didn't follow the exact spell on the scroll however. He made an on the spot adaptation of the spell, using all his knowledge of magic to perfect it. Unfortunately, the ranger didn't have much chance to think about the exact wording, and soon reached the climax, pulling the scimitar back out of the sand, holding the hilt, with the scroll as a wrap. When Pyre shouted the final word, flames shot from the scroll and surrounded the blade. Now he was ready to destroy some undead.

He rushed forward, flaming sword raised, and then made one massive swipe. The flames were flung from the blade, and rained down upon the skullchildren. The fire was greatly diminished, and wasn't powerful enough to kill one of them in one hit, he hurt, and hopefully hindered the army. As the fire shot through the room, he both wondered at the spell and cursed at it. On one side, it was a pure incarnation of his favorite phenomenon: fire. On the other hand, it was so weak that it couldn't even kill a skullchild in one hit. Against a stronger opponent it would be useless.

None of these emotions passed over his face though as he watched his handiwork, but suddenly, his expression changed to one of surprise. The spell wasn't working exactly as planned after all. Flames leapt out of the scroll once again, this time wrapping around his hand, burning his fingers. He yelped in pain and dropped his scimitar to the ground. Pyre tried to wave the fire out, but to no avail. He quickly submerged it in the sand below him, but could still feel the extreme pain. It seemed every part of his body was on fire, even though he knew the fire hadn't spread from his hand. In fact, the ranger had never experienced a pain like this before, and was just pondering that in a sort of feverish dream when he reliezed he might be about to get hurt a lot worse.

The hylian looked up at the stallord in alarm. His guard was completely down, and he couldn't use his right arm. It was a perfect oppurtunity for an attack, and Pyralin feared that if the creature struck now, it would be the end of this adventure for him. The end of any adventure. Ever.~
