EDIT, more than 24 hours later: OOC: Damn! This is my second time! Suddenly this window changed, and I went back, and it brought me back to the damned main menu thing! I wrote so much, too! Like, a lot! It was about as good as Alpha and Dream Illusuionist's posts! I mean, it was quality! Argh, oh well...

IC: The King, without facing his followers, said, "I'm sure your friends who have forsaken us have already revealed about our weaponry. Almost all of it is wood. We need both North and South Iron Ore! We have both not. Thus, they will bring fire. If even a few know of Arcane Archery, then we will last them longer. As it is told in legend, "The fires of the arrows can melt the coldest ice, and the ice of the arrows can freeze the hottest fire". If it be true, then we must freeze their fire. If they were wise, they would burn Rauru... which is connected to the Deku Woods, and the South Greens... all of which is flamible. They will make a massive grass fire, to blind us. While it rages, they will shoot through the fire, making them burn, weither they are gifted or not. But alas, ice will stop this. But that will not stop them, Battering rams and siege towers will come towards the Gate." He stops, and looks over the walls. "Look. They only have to cross the bridge. Not our drawbridge, but the brick one beyond."

OOC: Seriously. Play your AoL game, and observe the castle. They will come up the road. And all that area surrounding the castle. Enemies can surround us easily from there.

IC: "They wil surround us easily. And bring their ladders, if they wish for such a risk. Also, the catipults will shatter us all..." His voice fell. Sadness overcame his face. Tears grew in his eyes, and he said, a lump in his throat, "Look at this land... the grasslands... the North Forest... so lovely it used to be... until that Ganon came and made this land ugly... to the south, those mountains... they make this place peaceful... more happy than most places...

He had looked down this whole time. But now he looked up, and with a twitching exhale, he continued his telling of the defense of North Castle. "Now, of course, they will also have bombs. We will do what we have done many times before in defending the castle - used the mages to sheild the walls.

"Also, the children will drop the boiling hot water onto the foes, as well as heavy stones. Don't worry, Gorons; there will be rocks enough for you to eat while this battle continues. Now, mages will have a major role in this fight: there will be wizzorbe, and other mages alongside the Exiles. We will use you to telepathically battle them. You may not be able to withstand them, and many will die with brain damage... but you must parry those away from us...

"Also, being that the only way into the castle is the drawbridge, other than the walls, we must make the portcullis stronger. We must forge another layer to it. And slits will be in the walls, which we will shoot arrows out of. I do not want any crossbows used in this fight! We need better accuracy and more speed! We will give you all longbows.

"And, We will place caltrops outside in the field, to slow them, and make the battle simpler. Soldiers who know how to use a spear will use what is better - a halberd. And even if you are a grunt, I want you to wear more than simple chainmail. We are beyond that. We will use what we can with the North Iron Ore in the caves of the Mines, that were brought here. Vagabond will wear leather and jerkin, if armour suits them not. But you will not last in the battle.

OOC: OK, just so we don't start thinking I'm gonna mess up the stats, I'm just making our king smarter than the average person you'd expect. Stats remain the same.

IC: "Now, your coat of arms may be made out of what we have - the Deku Sheilds. Iron Ore will be needed for other things than sheilds. Now, knights, following the 'code of chivalry' will not be wanted in thism fight. their priority is killing us more than taking the castle."

"Now, am I clear? Are there any questions?" You have followed him all the way around the castle walls, and now saw the Caravan Quater just beneath you.

OOC: There we go! Now, tell me, who thinks I've researched by butt off to learn this stuff?

For half a second, Alpha is almost tempted to believe that the King truly cares for the welfare of the entire country. Speaking of the beauty of the land of Hyrule, he seemed truly concerned about its fate and seemed to almost want to protect it more than himself.

Almost. Right before he begins talking about his plan.

The plan is horrendous, at least as far as the Sheikah is concerned. Children - CHILDREN!!! - will be responsible for pouring boiling water upon the invaders. The king seems content with the fact that many of the mages will be unable to remain alive after the mental war they will undoubtedly face. "But you will not last in the battle," is like a smack in the face to any listening - or it should be, Alpha believes.

Having warriors battle using weapons they are not used to wielding? Stupidity in its finest. Just because warriors know the strengths of one weapon does not mean they can battle even half as well with a weapon that is only similar. Telling Knights to give up their code? Alpha is not a Knight himself, but he knows that that is like telling him to give up the teachings of his master - a pure, outrageous insult, that would have made a man seriously consider assassinating the King. Hopefully 'his Highness' will not dare make such a remark as that to the former Wraith.

He wants to shout out 'That's it!?! You couldn't come up with anything better than that!?!' But he forces himself to practice constraint, and instead, as the King begins asking for objections, allows himself to slip farther back into the crowd. As soon as he is the last person in the group, he hunches forward to lower himself down from his 6 foot status to 5'6". Making sure none have turned to watch, he sneers in the King's direction before disappearing into the shadows of a nearby tower, heading through the Void to the other Neutrals...

OOC: That is exactly what I intended... for this to be smart, as well as neutral people to disagree with it. Bwahahahahaha....

The silent cleric walks forward a bit, and then says his piece.

"Children? My dear king, Children? You cant send them into this fight. Don't sacrifice them. But if you are unwilling to change that, then at least have protectors around them. I don't want to see them hurt."

Sovelis looked shocked as everyone else about useing kids for the battle. He Was on the verge of lashing out, But he held it back.... For now.

"Of course, sir, they will be protected. They will be protected by the combat fighters. We need to use anyone we can. We patently shall not risk those of early age. Those who are at least 10 years of age. Possibly 9, if there are too few. We need everyone we can to defend the kingdom from the Exiles. In fact, when they are atop the wall, we will keep them hidden in the halls of the castle We will not make them do any true fighting."

"Remember, Karic, that we must save our supiles for the battle," Bannin interupted. "That is their goal; to make us use up our suplies. Once we are out of arrows, we can shoot no more arrows. If there is no more food, we cannot eat. That is what they intend to do." He backed behind Harkinian King.

" General, I can forge arrows out of energy, will that help us?" he asks.

"It will do us well, Sovelis. I want you to make as many as you can. But be sure that they are usable for others; I have something else planned for Mages..."

OOC: OK, now I'm just waiting for everyone to post here who needs to, then I will continue the event. Savy?

IC: " General, I'm sure the arrows are useable as long as I put enough energy into them, they might even be able to be enchanted, If someone helps me with it, I'll gt started right away." Sovelis sasy.

"Good man!"exclaims the General. "Start right now! Surely someone will be willing to help you! Go see the plaza again! Someone will surely be there who can help."

OOC: Sovelis, really in the battle, only people who know arcane archery will be able to use those arrows. It won't be fair if everyone has arcane archery.

"Twas a hypothetical statment to prove a point, Sovelis, Im sure we shall not run out of arrows, he was trying to prove his point."

Denning, or Karic, pockets his hands, and he stumbles upon a letter he had recevied earlier that day, the letter from the Oracle. He walked twords Nogare took out the letter, and gave it to Nogare.

"You have a message, Son of Greyblade." Wispers Denning.

Denning quickley walks back to his spot.

OoC: Ok Norage. I will do that... i think...

" Sir, I will start right away. do you know if anyone has the strenght to use such powerful arrows, General Bannin?" he asks.

Nogare hears Denning, and rotated his head to face him. He looked at the note. It's from her... it's her writing... I'll read it after the council.

"Thank you... Karic."

At the same time that Nogare spoke, Harkinian said to Bannin, "I will speak, thank you. I am to guide my people in this time. You will lead them at the war."

"Yes sir."

Harkinian King faced the Human. "Mage, I know not names, for there are many within the castle. They would have had to been gifted by the powers of Ice and Fire, as well as Light, to assist you with that. There may be someone in there..." He bowed. In next to no time, King Harkinian asked, "Are there anymore questions?"

" Thank you, Sire. I will go and seek help, I only have Fire and Dark powers, not Ice or light. I will remember your words." He says as he walks off to go. He stops by Norage and wispers. What was Denning doing here? Does he want to get caught? We nee dhim to stay out of trouble, until the battle.
