It was a breezy day, and the perfect temperature for being outdoors. In the pasture, stood a large figure, unmoving. If one were to approach the distilled figure, they would see that it was actually a Goron. The Goron stood still, staring off into the clouds. His eyes seemed to skip from cloud to cloud. The smell of summer seemed to hang in the air, despite the fact that it was just passing Winter. It would be a mystery to any viewers how one could stand so completely still, that birds were taking roost on his shoulders. It was apparent that he was deep in thought... but what could he be thinking about so in depth? The only way to find out, would be to ask him personally... but do you dare approach such a massive figure?

OOC: I'm going to be much more organized about everything this time around. I won't leave you all in the dark about anything. His story should be easy to follow, but it won't kick off for quite a while. This is just your chance to meet with him so that your character and mine can be better acquainted. Don't worry, he won't bite. 8)

In the middle of his daily run, Aureliano noticed a cloaked figure in his route. The Hylian stopped for a moment to wipe his forehead, sweaty from his exercise. He then proceeded to slowly approach the figure with the purpose of introducing himself. As he inched closer, Aureliano noticed it was in fact a Goron, one of the rocky people from the mountains. The young grunt had heard many horrible things about Gorons in Hyrule. He was told they were hostile monsters with the thirst for flesh, but after his experience with Goncorgoro, he realized that all the gossip had no basis.

As he approached the immovable stone creature, he finally noticed the birds on his shoulders, showing that he had been there for a bit of a while. When he finally got near enough, Aureliano said in a clear and calm voice and a with smile plastered unto his face, "Hello there mister Goron, how are you? My name is Aureliano."

OoC: Wow, long time no RP. You were the first person I RPed with.

The large figure suddenly snapped to animation, and the birds took flight from his shoulders in a startled squawking frenzy. The bottom half of his face was partially visible, enough to see a smile appear. It was covered by the cloak, which ran down to about his stomach, which was covered by a jerkin, which was nestled under two chains which overlapped eachother, and disappeared under the cloak. From there, a large black belt wrapped around his enormous waist, from which a large white cloth hung, and partially covered his legs. His feet were covered by enormous boots, which ran up to his knees. His eyes seemed rather lifeless...

"Hello there Aureliano. You may call me Shigure. I came from the southern regions of Hyrule seeking... well, I suppose thats not important. A lovely day today, wouldn't you say?" He noticed that the young man had kept his distance from him. He looked at the ground and sighed. "...Its quite alright. I won't harm you. What brings you to the pastures? I came here simply because its rather beautiful here... I passed through these pastures on the way to North Castle, where I underwent training to become known as a Grunt. I loved the view, and thought it to be a wonderful place to relax, and think. So after I had finished my training, I returned here to enjoy the serenity." He turned and looked at the lake far off in the distance. He could see the water sparkling from his position. He looked back to Aureliano, and a smile could be seen once more. "And you're here because?"

OOC: Yeah, well, its good to be back. Maybe I can keep him out of too many stories, and enjoy a relaxing experience. He doesn't have that long of a story so far, in fact, his whole backstory is in his profile. 8)

Over the top of a stump peered a small pair of curious eyes. They were squinted in scrutiny, observing the scene before them with a taut anxiety. Another Goron? The observer thought, lowering on his haunches even further. However, it was quite useless--His large body could not fit behind the severed base of a tree, and it stuck out on the sides and over the top, easily viewable. What would he think? Does he know about me? The watcher ran these queries through his head, his soulful eyes squinting even more. Did I hurt him? He slowly started to raise his massive form, the boulder on his back adding a good foot to his height. He paused with his knees slightly bent--Did he dare make himself known? What if he was hated by this Goron as well? The mace hanging off his wrist swung back and forth on its cord like a pendulum, too weighty for the breeze to have any effect on its motion.

OOC: Hooray, eye brings ZV bach 2 layfe! :D :D :D

Aureliano simply looked on at the Goron's lifeless eyes with his friendly smile still plastered to his face. "Yes, it is quite nice outside" he replied, looking at the clear sky, hoping it would continue that way for the remaining of the week.
"..Its quite alright. I won't harm you."
"Of course, Shigure," the young Hylian respoded, hurt, "I just decided to approach you slowly to prevent from startling you." He thought he heard something in the distance, and looked toward the source, only seeing a few trees. Aureliano seemed immune to the fact that there was a bulky Goron behind a stump.

"Me? Oh, I was taking my daily run, increasing my endurance." Aureliano told Shigure, now staring at the stump he managed to miss. "Yes, the pastures are nice and stable, perfect for running. Not to mention peaceful..." By now Aureliano had unsheathed his wooden sword, poised for a possible attack. He knew the attack preference of most Gorons was to roll, and the one in that revealed himself in the hills looked like it could pick up enough momentum to bulldoze through a forest. "Your a grunt too? I am a Vassal, meaning I vowed to protect the Royal Family and Hyrule."

"Hey look, another Goron!" Aureliano said aloud, hoping to get his companion's attention.

OoC: Is your character rolling, Saber?

The Goron was shocked. "You... do not fear me because of my size?" He asked, a bit of hope building. "You would be... only the second person to keep a cheery smile on your face this close to me... You, and... him." Shigure then watched his fellow Grunt's attention shift to a nearby log, where it became painfully obvious that they were being spied on. Shigure held a hand in front of Aureliano. "No worries... friend."

The words felt so foreign on his tongue. The large mass of muscles stepped forward, and grabbed the stump that anchored itself to the ground, and with one mighty tug uprooted the dead tree base, and tossed it aside. He stared down at the Goron beneath him. "Hello brother." He said, the casual greeting among Gorons. "Why do you hide from us?" He already knew the answer. Shigure had always been mistaken as aggressive and hostile becasue of his massive size.

Not until now, has anyone dared approach him with such a happy go-lucky attitude... He turned back, and glanced at Aureliano for a moment. ...Friend... he thought solemnly... He turned and stared back at the Goron beneath him. "What brings you here Brother?" He asked once more.

The Goron tensed--he was seen. "I..." He spoke at last, the words feeling strange and sluggish on his stone lips. "I was just walking through." He stared blankly at the other Goron. He didn't seem to hate him. Did that mean, perhaps, that he wasn't known to this other being of his species? What if he was recognized? Would the friendly demeanor change so quickly to one of fear and hate? The boulder on his back was hardly a common attribute...He continued to stare blankly at the pair, unsure of how to act or what to say.

Shigure sighed, and held out a hand to help the Goron to his feet. "You do not have to fear me. I won't harm you in any way." He said to the stranger. If I had a rupee for every time I had to say that... He thought bitterly, beginning to grow hungry. "Say...Do either of you know a good place to eat around here?"
