The sun overhead was nothing now, as the cool breeze and the occasional cloud was more than enough to keep the crossroads cool. This was a very good thing. After all; a legion of Hylian troops was, as we speak, marching east across the field. The porpose for this march was simple; to look for potential enemy forces. The Hylians troops were led by a lesser General, one who had not yet recieved news of the victory at Rauru over three days ago. So, he would stay by his orders.

All around the party, scouts were looking out for enemies. Two to the north, two to the east, three to the south, one to the west. They are the ones charged for looking out for danger. They were close enough to the troop to get back to them quickly, but far enough to see distant danger.

*twang*
*Thud*

The scout to the west fell, an arrow through his throat.

*Slice*
*Clank*
*Impale*

The three to the south fall, almost 2 seconds later.

*Crush*

The two to the north are killed simultaniously, not a second after the south.

*Twang*
*twang*

The two to the west die.

The troops are unaware of the death of their scouts. They keep marching, weapons at the ready, unaware of the shadows moving among the trees and the bushes. They are all tense, an attack could happen any moment.

An attack has happened.

A volley of arrows flies from the north, and fall from the sky onto the Hylian troops. The ones with better reflexes raise their shields. Others die. They are thrown into instant chaos: The soldiers instantly scramble, at the same time, Moblins and Bokoblins begin to pour out of the bushes and behind trees. The two sides engage almost instantly, sword VS spear, Hylian VS Moblin-kind.

3 minuets.

A hole in the rift opens up in the middle of the fray, not far from the Hylian general. Jormund K Gobi steps out, scythe in hand. That very second, all of the nearest Hylians are dead, their blood soaking Gobi's scythe.

4 minuets.

He steps forward. Another five of soldiers dies, this time their skulls are ripped off their shoulders by Jormund's right hook. Nothing stands between Gobi and the Hylian General now.

6 minuets.

The Genral put up a good show; he had managed to severe Gobi's right arm and cut the mans leg. The noble warrior paid for it with his life. His body falls to the floor, heart torn straight from the chest.

10 minuets.

"You finish this up, my men. I guess this wasn't the general I wanted, after all." Gobi said, picking his severed arm off the ground. He would have to get a new one. His 'men' begin to raid the Hylian troops.

17 minuets.

The last of the troops fall to a spear. After only seventeen minuets, 400 Hylian troops are removed from life by the hoard. Obviously, this was a:

Dark Victory

The dingy, dungeon cell was shared by the two Sheikah children, one pacing around as she thought, the other with his head buried in his knees. It was, in all honesty, his fault that they were trapped, neither able to use magic, nor their weapons thanks to an extremely powerful barrier around themselves.

Their weapons, as to add on to the fact they couldn't use them, were out in a locked chest, in a locked room, which was quite far from where they were. Realizing this, once more, Aria groaned, and glared at the boy. "Good job getting us here, Worru.", she snapped once more, not getting anything of a response from the hybrid. With the repeated action happening once more, she looked out, and noted that their guard wasn't there, and namely, they weren't going to get one, what with their low threat rating.

"I will kill you if you try anything, you know.", she added, knowing what the boy has done in the past. This remark made the boy not only lift his head, but also stand up, and glare the girl down. "Aria, I know it is all my fault. I know that I shouldn't be alone around you. But, please, just shut your mouth so I can think.", he said, before sitting down once more, head in his knees.

Aria blinked, registering all of it, before going over, and hitting Worru on the head. "Think? If you ever thought, we wouldn't be here!", she shouted angrily. Once more, the boy stood up, but instead of saying anything, he just slapped her.

"I am not like anyone else, Aria. They can think things through, most of the time. Kasei can. Sovelis can. Your precious little Drommlin can. but I. Do. Not."

He began, then, to pace around, ranting out loud to the girl who was running her fingers over the red spot on her cheek. "I will never be a hero. Never. My dream will never actually be seen.", he started, "I am a coward. Nothing more, and so much less. I lose confidence just talking to women, Aria. There is no way I can be what I want to be."

Continuing to rant on and on about his shortcomings, the girl grabbed him by the shoulder, turned him to face her, and then slapped him back. "You need to encourage yourself, not make yourself the worst person in the world.", she said, using a calm tone, quite rare considering how the boy could anger her so.

"So, listen, we just need to get out of here.', she soon said, letting go of his shoulder, as she looked over their situation, this time cheerfully. Worru, on the other hand, rubbed his own cheek, as a smile started to grow.

Maybe she doesn't want me to die...

OOC: Okay, Worru lost his copy, luckily I saved mine.

Okay, NOW people can reply to this.

EVERYTHING in this post was done by Worru! Give 'im a big round of applaus!

Sakiko noticed that she was hanging on the edge these days. After the incidence with Xeon and getting her other dark half - Okikas - she realized that her temper had gotten shorter, and she experienced this fear that she would transform into the evil being any minute. Zapheta whistled a tune, her sword slung on her shoulder. Her high heeled boots created little puffs of brown dust clouds as she half skipped, half walked. Sakiko eyed this with an irritated eye, obviously disturbed by the dirt. As she coughed out the dust from the roads she was traveling on, the pale girl smelled the acrid scent of blood. A sleeve on her nose, she began to run to the smell.

What.......

Piles of corpses - a gruesome sight - scattered the road. Obviously, this was a fresh kill. She gaped at the sight, and unfortunately, it was too late to realize that the murderers were at the scene, too. And she was only with a single bard. She heard Zeze murmur beside her,

"Dang."

"This is the work of one of the dark Generals." A voice said from behind the two. As Sakiko and Zeze, they saw the man known as Kairos, sporting a grave look, and a torch in his left hand. Behind him were five men with similar torches, all of them were dressed in black garbs.

Kairos spotted the confused look on the girls faces. "We must burn the bodies, or else they might be reanimated into ReDead, we know that most of the dark generals can do that." Kairos answered the unasked question, and moved forward, past the girls, and lit the nearest pile on fire. "No Tomb. No burial . . . just an honorless funeral." It only took minuets before the pile was entirely in flames.

Sakiko watched silently as she saw the human pile being consumed by hungry flames. She gripped her fist, not only beyond angry... but... she felt the old pain coming back to her. She wondered if this was how her aunt had died - in agony and in the crackles of flames. Her wordless silence was a tribute to the dead - or so she hoped, anyway. Zeze, on the other hand, was in a fury hotter than the fire.

"Yeah, well, we can obviously tell that this is the world of the dark! But what do you want us to do?"

The mage moved ever so subtlely, her lips spread apart just slightly. She wanted to know too. She wanted Kairos to answer. How she could reiterate the pain, the dishonor, the inhumane tragedy of it all. She glanced at the five men, then at Kairos. She whispered under her breath, her voice soft,

"...what...is going...on..."

"These man should be honoured instead of being burned to ashes!"
Azador appeared looking at the inferno .
"Can you not sense their grief? They lost everything to the gluttony of the dark!
It's unfair, I'm ashamed of myself..." The mage clutched his hand.
Everything and everyone fights for a cause, but this...power..wants to destroy everything, why?

"I'm a user of dark magic too but it was never meant to destroy everything!
What is it that this darkness wants?!"

Kairos turned to Sakiko and Zeze. "Do? Why . . . you should do your best to survive. However, from now on," He said, snapping his fingers, "By decree of the high generals, no one is to adventure outside of North Castle, or any other town, without one of these." He said, as small, blue orbs appeared near Sakiko and Azador. "So that you can send easy messages back to the castle, and be monitored in case of betrayal. As for what the darkness wants, Azador," He said, addressing the mage near the burning piles. "We know not what they desire. That makes them all the more terrifying."

Sovelis paced back and forth. He had been the one that had lead Aria and Worru's capture, he had thrown them into that dungeon cell, and he was now the one responsible if something happened to them. What the hell have I got myself into here? The other generals must know of my connections to the both of them by now... so why assign me to this? Why not Gobi?

The Tempest walked down the long, damp hallway that lead to where the two grandchildren of Kasei D. Gobi where being held. One was a friend of the Dark General, and the other could be considered his first student in Hyrule. Sovelis walked into the main dungeon and spoke to the two Moblin's guarding the magically sealed door. "I need to speak to the prisoners alone. Leave us." He waved a hand at the guards, dismissing them from his presence. After the monsters had left, He walked over to the door and opened it with the only key that would open it. "Hello you two. I hope that your both comfortable down here." Sovelis said sarcastically as he stepped into the small room, locking he door behind him.

The straw was piled somewhat high, to provide some small comfort to the children, along with a few rough, wool blankets and a few scrawny pillows. "I've come to see how your doing. It was not my idea to capture the two of you, but I have been ordered to keep you here until I am told otherwise. Do either of you need anything?"

Aria said nothing, looking away from her former teacher, apparently angry at his change of loyalty, and into this man before them. Worru, however, decided to speak. "An answer. Sovelis, I know I'm not as big a friend of yours as Kasei or Arrika or anyone else, but tell me." He walked over, and looked up at the man. "Why did you change? I know you have a demon or something, but that doesn't make you evil. I've heard of a prophecy, but those are stupid too! I mean, look at me! Gerudo males are supposed to be in charge, and born once every hundred years, but here I am, with a kid a lot younger than I am in charge. I make no sense in this world."

Suprisingly, the young hybrid paced around, actually noticing his situation for the first time. "Now, yeah, that kid can grow into something great, yeah. But me? I have done nothing in this war! I'm amazed that my Armor didn't rust back in Rauru! I'm an easy target, and I was the one who made Aria weak.", he said, once more demeaning himself. The girl was silent, sitting down and listening to the boy, but saying nothing. It was, after all, hard to stop him when he gets started.

"But now, look at you! You turned evil, and pretty much renouced your friends. And me, too.", the boy finished then, not sounding dissappointed, but saddened. "I thought you were better than that. I thought you were...no. No. Now, I understand. There aren't any heroes anymore.", he added, now solomn. "Every hero I could think of was just a lie. Heh, I guess I'm a hero in my own mind then, after all..."

"Heroes let people down."

"There are still heroes, Worru. I never was one to begin with." Sovelis said, looking down in shame. "When I came to Hyrule, I knew that I had to leave or something like this would happen eventually. Thats why I planned on stealing the Triforce. Thats why I went to all this trouble to stray down the path of darkness. THAT IS WHY I AM STILL IN THIS WORLD. I cannot leave now. I cannot leave ever, not even once I die will I be freed. I messed things up, and I have to correct my mistakes." the Tempest leaned his back against the closed door, and sighed. He looked up into Worru's Amethyst eyes and smiled a sad smile.

"I'm here, and there isn't anything I can do to stop any of this. The war will ave two outcomes: Either Hyrule's armies beat back the darkness, or this world will truly be swallowed up in the ever-burning flames of hatred and suffering. If the Dark armies win, the will more than likely re-incarnate Ganon somehow, or at least bring the Triforce of Power back into this world for their own plans. Their is no middle ground. I doubt that this war can be won by your side unless The Hero himself comes back." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "You should keep believing in heroes. Without them, there wouldn't be hope left."

Sakiko stared at the blue orbs, her lips curling in disdain. Betrayal. She felt a rush of anger of it all – the people who could not be trusted, and those who would not trust. It was an unjustified anger, she knew, but the whole war was making her sick. Her other dark being was making her sick. In fact, almost everything was getting on her nerves these days.

Zapheta shook her head, her face hardened into an expressionless complexion.

“Damn. What is this all coming to?”

Sakiko tilted her head at the orbs.

“Can we have these?”

"Hope?", the boy asked, slowly, tentatively. "Does such a thing really matter to me?", another question, as he looked up at Sovelis once more. "My dream has been crushed. I can't even protect, nay, even hope to be anything like Aria. She can be a hero. She could help us free. But me? Me? No. It is impossible.", he said, now once more ranting.

"I don't even believe a Hero would come here anymore.", Worru started on another rant, this time unbandaging his hand, slowly revealing the inverted, upside-down Triforce on his hand, not glowing its usual green. "I have half of what he is here. If half of his power is in the hands of someone who couldn't defeat a Cucco, I don't think he could help us win this war."

Soon enough, Aria got fed up with her silence, going over, and giving the hybrid boy a well-deserved slap on the face, the second one so far. "Worru, I just told you to stop putting yourself down. Now then, Sovelis,", she said, turning from her cousin to the man who was once her teacher, "If you want to get us anything, I think freedom might be a good place to start."

"Aria..." Sovelis looked at his former pupil and smiled. "I would free you both in a heartbeat if I wasn't in my current position. Your great-grandfather is the one who told me to have you both captured and brought here... If He wasn't the one in charge of this, then I would have freed you both already." he looked away and opened the door. "But even I know my limits. He could crush me. My power is nothing compared to his... that is why I cannot free you."

The Tempest walked out and re-locked the door and set the seal back in place over it. "I'm sorry... but if I loose Arrika because I let you two go..." he stopped and bit back the tears. "I-if I lost her then I wouldn't have any reason left to fight for anything..." Sovelis pulled his dark hood back up and left the room, signaling the guards to take their places again.

Xeon had smelled the burning of flesh - it was a very familiar scent, and one that he even admitted as rather pleasing. The Necromancer rolled around the glass vial absentmindedly as he strolled towards a small group gathered in front of a pile of corpses. Folding his hands behind his back, he clicked his tongue.

"Well, well, it seems that the Hyrulian forces are experiencing some casualties... could be expected, after that great battle in Rauru..."

In the dark dungeon, outside of the room, a commotion could be heard by Worru, Aria, and Sovelis.

"S-sir! You won't fit!" A moblin's voice said.

"I'll fit, just watch me!" A larger voice said.

The door flew open, and the, rather comical, figure of Jormund Gobi was seen now stuck in the door. "Hello, there, kiddies." He said. And indeed it was true. Sovelis was only a fourth as old as Gobi.

- - - - - -

Kairos looked at Sakiko as if she had said something stupid. "Keep? They will appear and follow you whenever you are outside of North Castle Town, child. After the war is over, you may do what you like. Keep one and give the other to a freind, maybe. They act much like gossip stones on a smaller scale." He said.

"Hey, I know you." One of the men said to Xeon. "You're that Necromancer. What are you doing here?" He demanded.
